Tall queen antique spool walnut 4 four post poster bed
For sale is a 1890s- 1910 spool 4 post bed. I believe the wood is walnut. The finials are pineapples. Fits a queen mattress but is a little short for the mattress. I bought a foam mattress and cut off about 1.5 inches at the foot of the bed. If not using foam you will have to have one specially made or use double size mattress. Very tall and striking! Original finish and very sturdy. Measures 90" tall. 62" wide, 80" deep. Pick up only 30 miles west of Chicago in Oswego IL.

Antique Poster Bed, Dated 1843, Handmade
This is a very early poster bed. I believe in cherry, with four beautiful finials. Someone has stenciled the date January 26, 1843 on the inside of the bed Rail. It will need slats to support a boxsprings. I have had people try to convince me this was an early rope bed. But there's no sign of the posts that the rope would be connected to. This bed was entirely handmade. The round supports on the bottom were actually threaded and screwed into the post. The widest measurement inside the bed rails is 48 inches. The length is 75+ inches. This is the finest antique bed I have ever had. The patina is wonderful. I would prefer not to ship it. But would consider shipping if the buyer made all the shipping arrangements. Posted with

The Thomasville Emblem can be found inside nightstand drawer. The model number stamped on the back of each piece is L-553. The wood is in amazing condition and has never been refinished. This is an oversized 81-inch-tall mahogany pineapple poster bed that probably dates from the 1880s. In a most unusual style. Of all the ... morebeds I’ve ever had, I’ve never seen one like this. It has flame mahogany panels on the headboard and footboard, fluted and reeded pillars on the sides, and pineapples carved out of solid mahogany on the tops, but leaf carving in the center block underneath, which is very unusual and very stylish. Then it has a Sheraton poster legs on the base. It’s a bolt-up bed, which means it takes bolts to close up the side rails, and you can disassemble it by taking the bolts out of the headboard and footboard. It was most likely bench made. The rails were all messed up, as they say, and we had to fabricate an identical set of rails to make it all straight and true. The bed is 81 inches tall, which is unbelievable. The outside width is 61.5 inches, the height on the footboard shield is 45 inches tall, and on the headboard is 54 inches tall. The inside dimensions are 58 inches by 76 inches, which will easily accommodate a full-size box spring and mattress, and for an additional $200 we can make it a queen-size bed, measuring 60 x 80. Antique queen size four poster bed with top rail
Beautiful antique queen sized bed made of solid mahogany. The bed was assembled from two antique single four poster beds from the early 19th century by a master carpenter. In addition to the four posts the bed has a carbed rail that goes all the way around the top of the bed. The bed can be disassembled into eight pieces for transport. I couldn't get a photo of the entire bed because the bed is in a smallish room and I don't have a wide angle lens on my camera. The bed was valued at $1000- $1500 twenty years ago by an expert appraiser. So this is a true bargain. The bed is in excellent condition. There is a small sliver of wood missing from the top rail but it is not noticeable because it occurred before the bed was assembled and refinished. Antique English Four Poster Bed
An extremely nice example of a very large(king sized) four poster bed made for the British Raj dating from 1860. This bed was returned to the UK from India a few years back and then came with me back to the states. As you can see it is heavily carved hard wood. There is no pest damage and very little if any other dings dents or scratches. It is very sturdy and breaks down to pieces for convenient transport as this would have been the original intention as it would be moved between camps. Sorry for the pictures its a little to large to get in one shot. This is a very nice very solid hand painted bed. Not sure were it was made but I purchased it in England. Underneath the paintwork it is solid mahogany. Its a king size which is 80 wide 80 long 90 high. We also have the wood slats to go across.So all you need is ma mattress, its in the french country look hand painted maybe around 30 years old but looks like its 100 years old. There are poles to the top if you wanted to have curtains or fabric. But look great as it is.

Three removable hardwood wooden slats support the mattress. The colour of this bed is a dark red- brown mahogany. This incredible bed is just gorgeous set up. the headboard posters are 8' tall and the feet are close to 3' The wood is stained dark with minimal scratches. And it hooks together with square connections. The headboard has spindles and slides into the posts. Someone has added a screen door hook on each post on the back to assure the headboard stays together tightly. A full mattress fits on this bed although it has about 2-3" extra on the side due to the change of mattress sizes over the years. If you love history, this is the bed for you.
