~ 2 VINTAGE NATIONAL BARN DOOR ROLLERS / HANGERS ~ BIG 4 ~ ANTIQUE FARM HARDWARE
Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. Offered is a pair of identical steel barn door rolling hangers. These are generally used to hang sliding doors on barns and sheds. They are capable of carrying large doors and. When properly mounted, are easily operated. These are never-used old stock hardware. They are unmarked so I cannot ID or date them. They likely date to the second half of the 20th century. Please observe that these hangers have wheels with convex surfaces, and are not slotted like some. Each hanger is about 8-1/2 inches tall and 7 inches wide across the wheels. The bolt part is about 4 by 5 inches. Each roller wheel is about 2-3/4 inches in diameter and about 5/16 inch thick at the outer convex rim. They are mounted on on about 4-1/2 inch centers. Additionally the hanger is made so the door can swing outwards a few degrees if needed. Each weighs about 2-3/4 pounds. ... moreThere is some paint loss and those areas have very light rust. The two rollers are mounted on substantial door mounts(see photos) Two eight foot roller bars are included. These bars are designed to be mounted to allow a continuous sixteen foot roller track(see photo) because one roller track has a curved indent into which the other tracks curved nub fits perfectly. The original 8 square end door attachment nuts/bolts are included also. This is not a rescued piece of debris. This setup is functioning perfectly, and was only removed to allow a simpler, more"old guy" friendly setup to be installed because I am getting on in years and cannot push the door weight anymore. I think these are the barrel type rollers. They all show there age and use and some wheels need some WD-40 as they are set up a little but look like they will clean up nicely. I have these two old barn door rollers that have been hanging around for quite some time. When I first re-modeled my home these were used for my bedroom door and still work very nicely. These have the 4" wheels with a 1/4in. groove. Thank you for looking

Pair of Antique Vintage Cast Iron Barn Door Hardware Slider Rollers Hangers
Up for bids is a nice set of barn door roller hinges for track mounted doors. This set of hinges each have a set of rollers and door mount. They were removed from a barn in Ephrata. PA. The hinges measure approx 8.25" from the top of the mount to the bottom of the roller. The rollers measure approx 7.5" from the outside of the first roller to the outside of the second roller and are approximately 3/8" wide. Each roller spins freely and each rocker articulates freely as well. There are no cracks or breaks to these. They have great patina and rustic appearance due to the age related wear and minor rust and could be cleaned(i.e. sand blasting. Solvent, wire brush, etc) The size of the mount/track that these slide on is unknown. Please see my other listing for another identical set.
