Lot of 20 vintage wooden railing balusters/spindles. Measure 35-1/2"L and 35-3/4" with peg. Top of baluster is 1-1/4" square and bottom is a 3/4" dia. They do have minor nicks. Scratches, and could use minor paint touch ups, but overall in great condition for their age. No cracks, solid pieces! Lot of 8 vintage wood porch or stair spindles/ turnings w/ finials craft salvage This lot is unusual in that the spindles all have a matching finial on the top. Not sure what they were used for. They all were set in a square opening at one time. They have square tops and bottoms, with turned areas in between, and the finial is separate. Some of the finials are loose, could be glued on. They were once stained and varnished, show some wear from use and storage, not bad and could be used as is, or easily be stripped and refinished or painted. Not sure of the type of wood, maybe pine. Lot of 10 Vintage White Shabby Chic Style Architectural Baluster Stair Spindles
Purchased out of a barn behind the house that was holding an estate sale. You are bidding on 10 vintage baluster stair spindles. The contents of the house were being sold by the children of the family that lived there and they have no idea how the stair spindles got in the barn, how they were used or how old they are. As a result I can’t tell you much about them. If you look at the pictures you’ll get a good idea of the condition. I can tell you that there are 10 pieces all together. Eight of the pieces measure 22” long and two have been cut down to 21” in length. Of the two that were cut down. Both ends are in good condition. Of the 8 that are 22” long, one end on three of them shows some damage, which might be why two were cut down. Otherwise they are in nice shabby chic condition. Antique Vintage Hard Wood Balusters Stair Staircase Spindles Lot of 26 This is a lot of 26 hardwood antique stair balusters removed from a building in PA. I am also listing two newel posts that were removed from the same staircase. You can see them in my other auctions. There are 3 balusters that have flat bottoms as opposed to the slanted ones that were going up the staircase. They measure 30 5/8' There are 13 balusters with the slanted bottoms(shown in the middle) They measure 30¼' There are 10 slanted bottom ones(shown on the right) that measure 26 3/4' The'turned area' on ALL of the spindles measures 18' The tops are 1 3/4" square. Two of the flat ones have a piece gone at the tops from being removed from the railing. I have taken a photo of that section to show the wood grain so that it could possible ... morebe identified. These balusters are heavy and the grains are close together unlike a pine. The wood is not soft. These are dusty(I have not cleaned them) and a few have nails. These 8 spindles are each about 25” long the base is 1 ¼” square- the top round of these spindles is about 1” in diameter. I believe the wood is pine, as it is light weight, these spindles had originally white paint on them most of it has weathered away but there is still some left, these spindles came from a church here in town the Altar was discarded after the new church was build and left on my property. The only pieces that could be rescued where these spindles, the rest of the altar just rotted away. What a sad situation! I rescued these spindles about 35/40 years ago. They are in vintage condition with some nail holes from where they had been affixed to the rest of the porch AND a few small chunks missing and a split in the wood at the 2 3/4" end. Penn Antique Restoration. Set of 24 Vintage Heartpine Staircase Spindles. Lovely spindles salvaged from an old home in Northwestern Ohio. Each spindle is made of heartpine. And has squared ends with turnings in between. All are finished with a clear coat of lacquer. All of the spindles are in great shape with only the minor nicks and light scratches that you would expect to find on old. Architectural pieces. However, there are no breaks, cracks, or gouges. Reclaimed from a central Pennsylvania home. 1 45"H newel, 62 spindles, of which 15 are 28 1/2"L and 47 are 32"L, 4 lengths of banister 138" for the landing, another 80" section for the landing, 148" for the stairs, and 40 3/4" again for the stairs. All are maple. Some have been sanded in a few spots. Some are chipped. 2 carved pieces need to be glued(as shown in the pictures) Well made, well preserved, well priced.

Lot Of 13 Vintage Wooden Tapered Balusters Spindles Salvage 26 1/2" x 1 5/8"
Up for auction these 13 Vintage Wooden Balusters/Spindles. The pictures should give you all the info. you need. They're in nice vintage condition and the wood appears to be sound. There are 10 that have angle cuts on the ends(approx. 26 ½” long point to long point) and 3 that are cut square on the ends(approx. 25 ½” long) One of the pictures shows the length. They are approx. 1 9/16” to 1 5/8” square. The one with square cuts ends and most of the paint missing was probably outside as it’s fairly rough with raised grain. The one with angle cut ends and missing/chipping paint has smooth wood and doesn’t look to have been outside like the one mentioned prior. Please consider the pictures part of the description.
