The trunk features a"cushion top" with a fold out hanger system with original hangers. The drawers are all there. As well as a piece that sits in the bottom drawer(see pictured photo) There is also a piece thats used to secure the hangers farther back that is pictured. The hinges are all working however need to be cleaned. The locks appear in very good condition. No keys. These trunks were the very best. Right at the top with Louis Vuitton, Goyard, M. M. Secor, etc. This trunk was one of Hartmann's top models of the time, costing close to $200.that's over $2500 in today's market. Only a well-to-do gentleman or lady would have owned something this expensive and of this quality. This particular trunk is a cushion-top model, and is also gibraltarized, patentened process in order to make the trunk frame very strong. This is all steel-frame construction. The trunk features a velvet cushioned top to protect clothing during travel. All original"unbreakable hangers" a garment bag for clothing worn, all hand riveted, and featered a patented locking mechanism that actually hooks so your trunk would never open in travel. From the hangers to the cloth lining, and cloth ties, this was made for an entire wardrobe to moved about without putting a wrinkle in any of your items. Traveling was long, hard, and exhausting. People would literally live out of these trunks as they traveled for weeks and sometimes months on end. Thus. They were built with quality and built to last, which is why they have stood the test of time! The craftsmanship that went into the construction and design of theses ole’ trunks are truly nothing short of spectacular. I recently discovered this wardrobe trunk buried ... morein the rafters in the attic of a local farm house estate in a in nearby town. It stopped me dead in tracks and I had to literally pick my jaw up off the floor! There was no way I was leaving without this trunk. And lucky for me I had hubby to carry it out of the attic and down 3 flits of stairs! And now for the decription… This is a nice authentic period Wardrobe steamer trunk. It is signed on the exterior by the maker Oshkosh Trunk Company. I am unsure of the exact age. But it was clearly left where I had found it for a very very long time. If I had to guestimate I would say it is likely from the early 20 th century. It measures 40 x 22 x 20 inches and weighs 75 pounds respectfully. The exterior is covered with what appears to be a volcanized material with dozens of original brass. Nails, knobs Hinges, Lock and hardware. The lock comes with key and functions as designed. Hi up for auction I have an antique Hartmann Gibralterized travel steamer trunk. These trunks were designed to travel on ships or rail systems. This trunk dates from the 1920's to 1930's. It is very heavy and large. Measures: 20 x22 x 40 5/8. And has a weight of 95 pounds. The trunk has some nice labels on it. It measures 41-1/2 inches in height or length. 22-1/2 by 22-1/2 inches in width and depth. It is totally original. It is a light beige colored tweed, with a dark brown leather trim throughout. Inside(left side) there are 4 drawers with beautiful pull handles. On the opposite side is set up for your clothing with wooden hangers. It has the original curtain, clothes bag, and another small compartment in the bottom closed off by another curtain. Vintage Belber Trunk Chest Wardrobe Travel Gotta See - Really Awesome!!
The previous owner of this trunk would have been 105 this year) It is a really cool looking trunk with the 5 drawers. The old hangars, the briefcase like drawer that slides in under the clothes, and what looks to be an ironing board that has paper covering it(we did not take it out- we left it undisturbed) We do not have keys, the big lock on the front was popped but looks to be okay. There is a sticker or two that say Belber(which is how we knew that much about it) We believe this is all original and it is in pretty good shape- it does have marks and wear due to use and age but it seems to be a very solid piece and would be awesome restored. Deep royal blue with a striking yellow stripe and black leather accents. The interior is a pale green with white accents, a very stunning pattern by itself. Antique Wardrobe Style Travel Trunk w/ Customs Sticker Possibly Hartmann?
This is a very clean trunk. The inner cover has a rip in it and I don't have the key. But the case is sturdy and the interior clean. The handles show some wear too. No odors or stains. There is a customs sticker from the US on the outside, but I couldn't read a date. This looks exactly like the Hartmann, but has no tag. The only name I found was the Eagle Lock Co and the latches. Crafted by the John T. Barnum Trunk Manufacturer Company. This rare Barnum Wardrobe Dressing Trunk is a beautiful representation of the company's skilled workmanship and amazing expertise. Measuring 61" long, 21 1/2" wide, and 21 1/2" deep, it has all of its original brass latches and appointments and is monogrammed" H" surrounded by a stenciled diamond. This Barnum Dressing Trunk has a roll-out maple cage with clothing ties to keep garments contained. The original decorative trim. Nail heads, and anchor-type handle add to its charm and character. Built to withstand long voyages and hard travel. This vintage Air Lite Wardrobe Trunk served as a portable closet for its traveling owner. Measuring 40 1/2" tall, 22" wide, and 22" deep, it has all of its original durable hardware and fittings with an amazing aged patina, reinforced edge binding, sturdy leather handle, and rows of fantastic nail heads. The exterior has a wonderful striped print with an Air Lite'Luggage of Quality' tag and awesome original vintage labels including one from the Railway Express Agency. Vintage Travel Wardrobe Steamer Trunk Nice and Clean
Up for auction is this very nice Vintage Steamer Trunk it is in good condition considering it's age. It does not have any name on it that I can see. It has on the leather handle some indentions of words but all I can make out is R-407. The lock has Everlasting lock D63 but the lock is broke which could be replaced. I guess it wasn't everlasting. There is a little water damage on the inside please look at photo's 3&4. This is a great way to store your special things you want to keep.Thank you and happy bidding. Vintage or Antique Hartmann Tourobe Wardrobe Travel Steamer Trunk Suitcase
This is an antique or vintage Hartmann Tourobe made in Racine WI travel wardrobe trunk. Trunk measures about 35" x 20" x 12" This has been used. There are surface scratch/rub marks on the outside of the trunk, the leather handle is broken off, the closures work but there is not a key to lock them. Trunk is has markings on the end that say Lt. Comdr. Johnstone MCVS U.S.N.R. on the end and a sticker that says Gibalterized. The Hartmann Tourobe Racine Wi sticker is intact. There are travel stickers attached to the outside and a tag that says Railway Express, Inc. War Won't Wait, if that helps to date it. This outside is black with metal, and not sure what the main material is, maybe a pressed wood. The inside is blue with 3 compartments on the fold down side, 2 of the compartments have cloth ties, the top cloth part folds ... moreover and snaps at the end, snap pieces are intact. The other side has 2 wood hangers and the metal pieces that hold the hangers fold in to hold the hangers and can be folded out when the trunk is opened. There are some water marks on the cloth cover of the fold out part and a musty smell to the inside of the trunk. The red stripes on the outside of the trunk do have rub marks.

1920's OSHKOSH STEAMER WARDROBE TRAVEL TRUNK CHEST Ironing Board PIN CUSHION
Stands about 42 tall x 26 x 23 inches. It has a last patent date of 1923. It has six drawers. One drawer has an iron holder insert and there is also an original large pin cushion that came with this trunk. Each drawer is unique with various partitions and tie downs. There are telescoping rods for the many various original hangers. There is also a removable latching box. Pretty clean inside with very light wear. The top leather handle is broke. Some minor scuffs, scratches, paint drops present. No holes or big dents. The key lock looks as if it was pried open, but it still latches the trunk shut when rotated. No key. weighs around 90 pounds. You can set up the shipping if you would like, and i could pacakage it for a small fee.

Rare Hartmann Vintage Stateroom Antique Travel Steamer Trunk Wardrobe Chest
Characteristics of Hartmann We are offering for sale an extremely RARE& UNIQUE fine stateroom steamer trunk. Came from an older Central Pennsylvania estate. Trunk has previous owners initials H L B. Exact age and origin unknown but believe to be from the early 1900s. 1877: Hartmann Inc. was founded in Milwaukee. Wisconsin by Bavarian Trunk maker, Joseph S. Hartmann. 1905: Mr. Hartmann had a vision to build"luggage so fine it will stand as a symbol of excellence. Because of his vision. The company grew rapidly and moved to larger facilities in Racine, Wisconsin. This trunk has early Hartmann trademark cloverleaf hardware. Pull out hanger is patented March 1905. This may be the only one is existence. VERY RARE Quality constructed. Trunk interior is fitted with American golden oak and cast brass ornate pulls with drop front hat box ... morearea that can be used as a desk. Exterior is fitted with rose and silver colored cloverleaf hardware(corners are cast iron and the rest of the hardware is nickel plated brass? which I believe the cloverleaf hardware was characteristic of early Hartmann. Canvas appears to have been a deep mahogany that has darkened over the years from the smoke of coal fired trains and ocean liners. Nice shaped edging of wild boar hide(pig skin) and fine brass tacking. The skin from a boar was tougher and thicker than other animals. Pull out hanger is patented March 1905. The latch is marked Everwear TTC3 and Corbin made in USA. Stately Travel Chest Wardrobe Trunk These early trunks are very rare and hard to find and are as good as. Up for bid is this awesome vintage steamer trunk. This amazing wardrobe-style chest normally stands upright on rollers and is pulled by a single handle on the top. The trunk is intended to travel on its wheels. But it also sits nicely on its side if desired. Once opened. The trunk reveals four drawers of varying sizes on one side. On the other side, a drape hangs over a small closet. A covered small suitcase box holds wooden hangers to be used in the closet- it fits into place to make a storage space at the bottom of the closet area. The top of the closet opens up. See pics. The interior of the trunk is all nicely lined. Including the drawers. The interior hardware and hangers are intact. There is a lock on the top drawer, I do not see a key for it, although the exterior lock on the trunk comes with its key. Based on the information on the ... moreexterior lock hardware. Hartmann Travel Wardrobe Trunk Gibralterized Art Deco Steamer
A 1920s Hartmann wardrobe trunk with a great Art Deco interior. It is in good condition overall. And the interior is in very good, clean condition. The canvas covers look perfect, and both covers snap properly. The drawer handles are a particularly nice Deco design. The exterior shows some wear and staining appropriate for its age, no major damage. I didn't try cleaning the Gibralterized shell, but it may clean up somewhat. All of the metal corners and hinges, and the tack reinforced edges are in good shape with no breaks. The lock has been removed but the hinge is intact, and ready for a new one. This measures 23 inches by 23 inches by 41 inches. Standing with the lid up the height is 4 feet.

Hartmann Steamer Wardrobe Trunk Art Deco Railroad Travel Clean
A vintage Hartmann wardrobe trunk with a classic Deco interior. It is in good condition overall. And the interior is in excellent, clean condition. It is equipped with a velvet cushion lid, four nice hangers on chrome rails, and a beautiful chest of four drawers with classic Art Deco handles. The canvas suit and shoe covers look perfect. And both snap properly. The exterior shows a few scratches and stains commensurate with age. Nothing major. All of the metal corners, reinforced edges, and hinges are in good shape with no damage. The lock has been removed but the hinge is intact. This measures 23 inches by 23 inches by 41 inches. The height is 4 feet with the lid up.

Large Wardrobe Steamer Trunk Oak Slats Antique Vintage Travel Beautiful
A very large wardrobe trunk made over 100 years ago by Henry Likly of Rochester. N.Y. established 1844. Extremely well made and in virtually perfect condition. It is fitted with a fully equipped interior and oak slats and ball castors on the exterior. This fine heavy trunk is complete and fully functional. It is signed with a brass plaque outside and a paper label inside. It is ink stamped Patented December 12. 1911. It comes with the original key. Vintage 1920's Hartmann Wardrobe Travel Trunk with Yale Key- Beautiful Condition
It's rare to find a vintage 1920's Hartmann wardrobe travel steamer trunk with its Yale key in this condition. All of the buckles and hardware on this piece are in working order. It comes with 2 straight bar hangers; 2 specialty hangers; and 5 coat/shirt/dress hangers. It has the original wood and metal bars that would have kept clothes tight and flat. The clothes bar extends 18" to pull clothes out for easy access. The trunk has three small drawers with cloth tie-downs and one large drawer with the original hanging hat keeper. There is some slight fraying of the cloth on the drawers from use but no large tears. The interior lid still retains its original blue velvet liner- still in beautiful condition with no tears or frays. The leather handle is stamped: 360 3" and the leather is in great condition.
