The ... morelectern rack is missing the single piece of wood of bottom molding. The lectern opens and closes as desired. It has a gadroon edge. It is finished in a dark walnut stain. I think the wood could be walnut the more I look at it in this dark finish. The overall size is 21 inches square and 35 inches high overall. Each section is 10 inches wide, 7 inches deep, 11 inches high and 12 inches high on the bottom shelf. It is missing a few of the brass tacks, but overall it is complete. The bottom of one of the sections has a crack and oval stain, which has no effect on the bookcase. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.

Ostensibly it is of course a bookcase of course you can use it to hold other items. It looks particuarly good with decorative items- statues, vases etc- in them. However, for myself, being the bookish type I have aone in my home with nothing but lovely, fading works of literature in them. The shelves are adjustable to suit meaty tomes or smaller paperbacks. The top has been revarnished for durability. The base retains its original finish in very fine condition with minor mars at the edges. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm antique patina. Classical fluted motifs are understated on this furniture from Europe. Three doors with glass panes have original working locks and hardware. The original finish is in very fine condition with minor mars at the edges. Waxed and buffed. Folks. After ten years since snagging a WALNUT Danner Revolving 4 tier bookcase, we FINALLY got one and sold it lickity split! Well. Incredibly we just got an identical piece(Solid Walnut) but this one was redone in a"fumed oak" finish to match most Stickley. Limbert and other Mission Oak treasures. The Danner stenciled signature was stripped in the process. The brass grommets were replaced with round headed brass screws that increasesd the sturdiness of this Danner revolving bookcase. Overall dimensions are 20" x 20" and 56" high. The 3 upper shelf bookcase sections measure 10 1/4" high. 10" wide and 7" deep. The sections of the lower level measure 12" high, 10- wide and 7"deep. And is a very finely constructed piece, made entirely from solid walnut timbers. The dovetailed joints are very exquisite and this is a very satisfactory piece of small furniture in every way. This piece is in excellent original condition, and would make an outstanding addition to a collection and perhaps look quite splendid placed on a Cotswold style sideboard or table. Globe Wernicke Bookcase 1890's-1910 Walnut barrister bookcase in a very hard to find style. It's like the forerunner to the Ideal line. Has normal wear. Does not look to have ever been stripped. The two large glasses are not originals(they are not wavy and the strips that hold them are replacements) One of the drawer pulls is missing the mounting bolts and the mother of pearl insert that goes behind it. Vintage Art Deco Two-Shelf Bookcase A vintage and stylish solid wood Art Deco bookcase. Nice size two shelf bookcase measures approximately 31 inches high. 22 1/2 inches wide, and 9 1/2 inches deep. Shelves measure approximately 8 1/2 inches deep. Both of these sets of doors lock and one key is included. Behind the wavy glass antique doors are three shelves. The shelf depth inside the upper cabinet is 10.75″ As mentioned this piece was made by the company Waring& Gillows. A company known throughout England for creating quality, luxury furniture pieces. Being made around 1900 would have been just after the time that the two original companies(Gillows of Lancaster and Waring of Liverpool) joined. Rare Globe Wernicke Top/Bottom and Two Bookcase Sections Imitation Walnut Globe-Wernicke information: Globe-Wernicke is by far the most well-known manufacturer of barrister bookcases. The Globe-Wernicke Company was created when the Globe Company of Cincinnati. Ohio purchased the Wernicke Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1899. The parent company, Globe, had been founded in 1882 by Henry Yeiser and is best known for their vertical filing cabinets and sectional filing cabinets. The Wernicke Company was founded in Minneapolis. Minnesota by Otto Wernicke, widely regarded as the inventor of the sectional bookcase, in 1893. In 1897, the Wernicke Company moved to Grand Rapids. Soon after the creation of Globe-Wernicke. A battle for control of the company began between Henry Yeiser and Otto Wernicke, resulting in Wernicke being forced out by 1903. ... moreOtto Wernicke joined up with the Fred Macey Company of Grand Rapids in 1904, the resulting company changing their name to the Macey-Wernicke Company, which began making bookcases nearly identical to those of GW. This set was actually in a Lawyer's office, just like you see it. Lycoming was a division of Globe Wernicke and I believe that these are all Lycoming sections. They will fit each other perfectly well, so you could add to your existing bookcase. This four section set measures 59 inches tall by 33 inches wide by 13 inches deep. The inside of the bookcase sections measure approximately 31 1/2 inches wide by 12 inches tall. The over all condition is pretty decent with some expected wear from age and use. I do see that one of the little brass knobs to open the one door is missing. All in all, this Barrister bookcase set was well cared for ... moreover the past 90 or so years. Everything is functional and it is a great piece and in great condition except a few minor things- see below for more details. Cosmetically it shows some surface wear and markings from previous use, age and ownership. All the glass is solid. B) 1st Level Bookcase- Makers Mark is Stamped- Brass Tone Knob* Top rail that reads"do not lift by" is loose and has damage to inside wall. Where a piece of wood from the wall came with it. This same wall has the beginning of a split. Which is slightly noticeable from the outside. The glass panels have dowel rods that allow the windows to slide up and down. Each side for the dowel rods is split and missing some wood. Still functions properly. I am not going to further mess with it but it could be repaired if you prefer but not necessary. Has the exact same finish number as everything else but appears slightly darker- mostly from the side. Looks good from the front. C) 2nd Level Bookcase- Makers Mark is Stamped- Brass Tone Knob* Missing one side of trim behind the glass door on the right side. This piece of trim provides stability for the glass door when raised in upright position. Keeps it up all the way from leaning down. 1908 SOLID HEAVY WALNUT MACEY BOOKCASE! Smooth Clean finish. Doors work smooth. Beautiful moulding around top.Brass hardware. one chip on bottom edge of one stack. Outside measurements:55 1/2" tall by 35 1/2" wide by 12" deep. Inside of one stack measurement: 32 1/2" wide 13" tall by 10" deep. Delivery to Manhattan is 80.00. Brooklyn Delivery is 95.00.
