It is in ... morereally nice condition. I am assuming that it was finished a long time ago as the finish is dull/worn down and mellow looking. A couple of coats of lacquer could be added to give it a more vibrant look if desired, but I personally like the mellow finish. The dresser has white and gray grained round corner marble top with the insert in the center, raised burl panels on the drawers, big circular buttons on the middle of the large drawers, Victorian tear drop pulls, candle shelves on the mirror, applied carvings, burl panels and a beautifully carved fancy crest. Dating from the 1870s, it has burl panels all over, hand carved crest on the very top, five different style shapely mirrors, rose quartz on the drop center and two top columns, four small drawers, one large drawer on the base and a hidden drawer on the very bottom. The burl panels are all picture frame molded on the drawers and on the inside of the drop center. It has oversize candle shelves. In my over 50 years in the business, I don’t believe I have owned this model even though I have had my share of drop center dressers.

We purchased some really interesting pieces from this collector as he is downsizing, and this antique oak dresser was refinished about 20-30 years ago, and we did a couple of touch ups. This fantastic oak dresser is in nice condition in a medium oak stain finish. It has two small concave front drawers on the top and a large bow front drawer in the base for plenty of storage. The Victorian dresser has cabriole carved columns coming down into a detail claw foot, panel sides, multi-molded rolled front above the drawers, carved yolks that hold up the mirror.

Antique Victorian Bureau/Dresser Top Swivel Mirror
Absolutely beautiful true Victorian bureau/dresser top mirror. It appears to be made of either rosewood or mahogany. It has a compartment with a double hinged lid at the top of the base. Please look at all pictures as this piece is not in pristine condition. But at the same time, please notice the beautiful carvings throughout. It is in overall good condition and is a true beauty. The side hand carved mirror mounts are supported by threaded wooden bolts and attached by large wooden screws(please note pictures) The oval flat piece that covers the back of the mirror was been replaced many years ago. This appears to be the only non-original piece of this extrodinary item. It measures appx. 26" tall x 24" wide at the base x 10 1/4" at its deepest point of the base. This is an antique dresser with a beveled marble top(marble recently replaced) and candle-stands flanking the large mirror in the middle. The greatest thing about this piece is the decorative top that attaches via pegs to the top of the mirror(see pics) It has rolling wheels on the bottom. So it's easy to move around. The top can be removed from the bottom via screws on the back of the mirror. All in all. I'd say it's in good condition, but has been stored and of course needs a good cleaning. Victorian Rococo style Flamed mahogany Bowfront dresser w/matching wall mirror
Victorian period Rococo style flamed mahogany or rosewood bow front commode/dresser drawers with matching wall mirror. The front is veneered flame mahogany with dovetail drawers with french style bronze or brass drawer pulls with great patina on and around the pulls. The drawer guides on the bottom of drawers are metal. The serpentine top looks to be solid mahogany or rosewood with the numbers 57 230 102 stamped into the back of the top. The cabinet is a 9 drawer unit with a hidden compartment above the center drawers. Hand carved designs exist above the outside drawers wrapping around the sides to the back. Hand carving exist on the front rounded corners and between the sets of drawers culminating to a different carving at the bottom matching the whorl feet. Commode/dresser chest has not been cleaned or refurbished in any way by me it does ... morehave a scratch on the side which I have pictured and the top has its patina to show its age. The measurements of the dresser/commode are 64" W x 22" D x 34" H. The matching wall mirror has Rococo hand carved pediment crest cornice at the top with a C scroll cornice missing on right side and on the left side someone has tried to nail the cornice back on this mirror needs some restoration on the carved pediments. Measurements of the mirror are 56" W x 45" H.

This is a really nice piece. It measures only 14 3/4" tall, 7 1/2" across the widest, and 5 3/8" deep. There is handwriting in pencil on the back of the mirror, I cannot make it out, though. There are 2 drawers, and a real mirror, which shows some discoloration. On the right side of the mirror, it was either made this way, or the piece was broke off years ago, since it is stained.
