It measures 36 inches long by 24 in ches tall with the lid closed by 20 inches deep. It features a remova ble storage tray and more linens. Beddings. And clothing can be placed underne ath for conv enient additional hu ge storage. It is a wood structure trunk and frame with smooth me tal(black) and woven pattern metal riveted overlays with beautiful beading to ta ck in metals and curved and straight gorg eousl y grained wood slat s. Here's what I stated about it s condition: Metal overlay surfaces have been repainted and restored. Some scratches and scuffs marks on beautifully grained wood slats. Leather handle missing on left side. Flip up side locking latches both flip up into locking position. But only one catches to keep it lock closed and the other is missing its catch. Center locking latching closes in position but does not lock and there is no key. Interior lining shows foxing and staining and has some t ares due to great age. But smells clean with nice scent like cedar inside. Truly a rare beauty of extra large size that has great looks and craftsmanship on evident in these earlier era pieces of exceptional beauty. So you may want to grab it quick, before it is gone! Note: Not shipping overseas nor to Alaska on this one. Only to domestic United States. This antique Hartman Trunk Co. Steamer Suitcase/trunk has great appeal and character. Early 1900's. Covered in leather/cowhide with a pink silk interior this piece was sold by Saks Fifth Avenue. Bronze hinges with a really neat mechanism. Over all condition is great for the age. Leather hinge on the back has torn on the left side. The original owners initials are stamped on the front and have not work. The name of the owner is still on a travel tag attached to a Holland America cruise liner tag. This beautiful French Vellum Trunk. With its incredible character and elegance, sailed on the Queen Elizabeth from New York to an unknown destination. Measuring 35" long, 20 1/2" wide, and 13 1/2" deep, the exterior has the original solid wood banding and polished chrome latches and hardware. Engraved on the lock is the word"Surete" which is french for"security" Its edges are protected with original rawhide trim secured by silver nail heads. There is a wonderful original vintage tag from the Cunard Line and an old travel decal. Circa 1920's. This French Trunk is in good condition with minimal wear from age and use. The interior has 2 working cloth straps and is clean with no issues or musty smell. The trunk has the original leather handles, but one has a split in part of the leather. ANTIQUE LOUIS VUITTON ROUNDED TOP LEATHER STEAMER TRUNK CIRCA 1854 to 1867
This is a numbered leather rounded top steamer trunk circa 1854 to 1867. The company started in 1854 and in 1867 changed the look to canvas and the top to a flat surface for better stacking. This trunk has a little recent damage to one outside corner from my daughters cats scratching but I think that can be smoothed out with the right tool. The trunk is over 100 years old so the outside is worn but it is in good condition in spite of the scratches. The inside is in beautiful condition with a wonderfully intack. Clean tray and 3 compartments below the tray with the ties still there to hold your clothes down? The outside leather handles are still there and in good condition. I never allowed anyone to move the trunk by using these handles. I also have a key to the trunk. There are, it seems to me, old European hotel sticker marks on the outside. ... moreI actually have some of these old, beautifully colored stickers from the 1950's or earlier that I would sell separtley. This piece of luggage is a real collectable Louis Vuitton and in better condition than any I have seen sold at other sales. Antique Black Steamer Travel Trunk Leather Handles on Each End Front Latch NEAT!
This auction is for a vintage steamer trunk. I think this is the right wording for them. This is black, hinged lid, leather strap handles on each end. Two clasp closures on the front, the main lock is missing the bottom as you can see in the photos. The inside is papered. This is worn and discolored, it is the original. There is a wooden bar on each side where the shelf would sit, but is no longer with the trunk. Measures right at 36" wide, 21.5" deep and 24" tall. It has weight to it! This is a vintage piece of luggage that is in used but good condition. It is an extremely rare find and rarer to find in this condition and with key. It is blue slim steamer trunk with blue leather trim and leather handles. The trunk opens up and locks in place to allow for clothes to hang from the hangers. The bottom area has dividers and ribbon ties to secure your items. Both sections have a cloth cover. The bottom has snaps to secure it to the bottom of one of the dividers. 1921 Belber steamer wardrobe trunk from Frackville/Pottsville. Pennsylvania. Hello everyone. Up for auction is a vintage 1921 Belber steamer wardrobe trunk that is in great condition for its age; lovely worn-look It was manufactured by the Belber Trunk and Bag Company Phiadelphia. Pa. It was purchased at H.R. Knapp Leather Goods in Pottsville. Pennsylvania. It has stickers that tell that it travelled on the American Railway Express Company from Schuylkill County to Philadelphia with a young woman who attended Temple University teacher’s college. Dimensions are 41.5" x 21.5" x 21" Handle intact. All hardware is intact with all the rivets except the key is lost, 5 drawers that open and close, a separated small matching case, an ironing board; Has the Original Bar which goes thru the drawers to keep them secure during travel The ... morepatent date of April 19, 1921 is on it. Drawers still open and close. Hanger Rods still extend. But there are no hangers. Top opens so you can take the clothes out in the back without having to take the ones in front out first. It has the original material with some small snags; no holes in the interior or exterior. Isabella Irene Francks was the owner and lived in Frackville. Pa. She graduated from Temple University on June 14, 1928 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. There are several Vintage handwritten letters included from her which gives the piece alot of character. This is a great piece of local history. When I sell something on Ebay I describe it how it REALLY is. No bull here, only facts on how something is and thats the way it should be. Period. The straps would have buckled at the opening. You can see the leather strap retainers that are still in place. If you want, you can have someone who works leather to make these belt-like straps for you. The top is studded. This is quite unusual in that I've never seen it before myself. It no doubt gave the top some protection from other trunks that would have been stacked on top. I think it is quite a good look. The hardware on the front. Specifically the latches are quite ornate and show that this trunk was made back toward the Victorian era when everything was onamental in design. I figure this trunk was made in the early part of the 20th century and spent a lot of time on railroads and maybe steam ships(the labels certainly bear out the railroad part) Notice the heavy use of studded rivets all along the corner protectors. This shows the quality of the trunk and like the studded top. Improves the overall look. The lock was made by Eagle Lock(see condition note below) I suspect from this that the trunk is American in origin(no makers mark was found on it) Underneath a

Up for your consideration is a rare antique Hardy valise. Steamer trunk This is a super Rare antique STEAMER TRUNK. ALL ORIGINAL made by HARDY LEATHER CRAFTSMAN, European made. I have tried to research HARDY CRAFTSMAN and can't find much. Seems to have been a British Co that was know for super quality leather work. Not so much in trunks though. I had a couple Trunk" experts" tell me this is a trunk made in the same style as the famous LOUIS VUITTON trunks. And was probably from around the turn of the century( 1900) or early 1900's It has a pull down drawer that I have taken pics of. It includes 2 original wooded hangers. All of the trim is brass colored which does have scratches. The Brass tone Latch/ Lock is is in working order. I have no key. Condition: Overall very solid and great for display standing upright as we used ... moreit. Or setting down as the previous owner had it. The condition is good. The interior is very good. All snaps are present and work. There are no rips or tears. All pieces appear to be present. The exterior could use a good cleaning although the fact that it is not cleaned is what creates its absolutely wonderful patina. It is missing the handle but all buckles and latches are present and they work. It does retain its original makers tag. Few places there are some dings. And some of the fabric has minor discoloration as could be expected for its age, but overall still very good. Don't pass up on this one. It is a very Rare item. Here is a very nice Antique Louis Vuitton steamer trunk. Its the highest end model with all brass hardware and leather trim and a zinc bottom. Interior is clean with 2 trays. This is the very early hand woven linen monogram canvas which was produced from 1896-1904. The serial number 106906 should put it around 1899. 1900's Antique Yale & Towne Steamer Trunk Chest Wood Leather Brass
This is a great antique trunk that at one time was used by Lumpee& Russ Harness Makers; I cannot make out the rest of the wording. The trunk is structurally solid. The valet tray has two holes but this could be nicely refinished. The top tray has two sections with one that does have the leather/button loop closure intact. There is no key in the locking mechanism that was made by Yale Towne MFG out of Stamford. Conn. It weighs just under 55 pounds. This is being sold as is. If you live on the I-5 corridor on the west coast(Washington, Oregon and California) I have a shipper. Item is in great condition considering its age and travel. Top handle was repaired with risen and rope that's considerably tougher than the leather counterpart neatly done also. The white strip is residue from what seems to be duct tape. There are no holes in the shell and no mildew smell. The Trunk has some scratches and scrape. It is the size of a small suitcase. But shaped like a trunk. It measures 24 inches across the front 13 1/2 inches deep, and 10 inches tall. It has steamer style straps. Silver accent hardware, all original. It almost has a walrus or elephant texture to the hide of the material. You can see the patterning up close in photo 12. The top part of this piece expands up about 3 inches if you fill it to do so. If not it sits flat. Photos 8& 11. There are 2 straps around the case. In great condition. On the front of the case there is a lock latch, and 2 securing latches. All 3 in good order. Inside looks good. All the straps there are in great shape ... moretoo. You are bidding on one of the nicest Antique Steamer travel trunk made by The Oshkosh Trunk Company from around 1914. The Trunk is in great shape for its age. It's almost perfect inside. It's made of wood but is covered with beautiful black leather on the outside with all heavy duty brass corner guards, latches,and rivets. The inside of the trunk is all lined with a light blue soft fabric, all the fabric is in great shape and is not peeling anywhere. The trunk is made to be stood up and used like a closet one side opens and closes then you turn the lock handle it locks the other side and opens the main part of the trunk for hanging clothes there are some of the hangers there and the top of the clothes hanging side opens as well. You can see in one side of the trunk there is a crack in the wood where the lip of the lid goes over to ... moreclose and lock. It still works fine. If you lay the trunk down on it bottom the long way there is some tear in the leather. Also because they do not have the key someone grind off the rivet to open it. You can very easily put the latch back on the square and drill and tap the brass to put a bolt in it and have a key made so you can unlock it right and turn the latch like a handle the way it's design to work. This trunk is beautiful for the age there no mold inside or outside. It does have a light moth ball smell inside. but it would clean up very easy. If you were using this trunk at the end of your bed or for a coffee table you would never see the rip in the leather on the bottom. We did not clean this trunk because we did not want to hurt it's value. We will ship this trunk anywhere in the USA. But it very heavy. I would say at least 100 pounds. This sleeping treasure went unnoticed by my family for over 40 years because of it's worn leather exterior; we never even noticed the Louis Vuitton markings on the brass latches. This was my grandfather's trunk. And currently bears his initials I.W.H on one side. As far as we know, he was the second owner. I made an e-mail inquiry to the Louis Vuitton Patrimonie department, and they responded in writing: According to our files and your photographs, your trunk with the inside number 152686 might be a trunk sold in 1907. My grandfather was stationed in France during WWI, but I am not sure if he acquired it there. Antique 1910 EXCELSIOR Storage Wardrobe Steamer Trunk Leather 42" x 23" Yellow
Early Vintage Travelling Storage Wardrobe Steamer Trunk dates back to about 1910. 42" tall X 23" wide and deep. Cured genuine leather stretched over a sold wood frame. Yellow in color with a nice patina. All edges and corners protected by brass plating. There are 6 functioning ball type wheels on the bottom which allows the user to roll the trunk while flat. And an additional 2 functioning wheels allow the user to roll the trunk while standing on end and towing with the leather handle(picture shown) All metal edges do have some wear but this gives the trunk a great look. The locking hardware is functioning. And is stamped EXCELSIOR#4230 Made in Stamford, Conn USA. Excelsior began making this lock in 1910. The locking mechanism is controlled by the exterior latch which in turn stabilizes the drawers for travel(shown in picture) There ... moreis 1 key from the Independent Lock Co#1076 Made in Fitchburg. Mass USA(valued at $18.95 on Ebay) The interior fabric is a copper monochromatic damask which is in good shape considering the age(picture shown) Once settled at their destination. The traveller may lift the padded top portion of the trunk up using the attached hinges to reveal and unlock the hanging garments(see main picture) There are 5 drawers which feature the same copper damask on their fronts. And brown lining within(picture shown) The top drawer is missing the lock, the bottom drawer is missing the handle, and both drawers do have a little water damage. There are 4 original hangers(1 shirt. 1 pant, and 2 coat) These hangers rest upon a chrome bar which extends outward 18" to allow the traveller to peruse their garments and avoid wrinkling. The hanging garments are protected from dust during travel by a copper damask curtain that snaps closed at the bottom. Approximated weight is 85 lbs. RARE Antique Henry Pollack Vtg 2 tone Leather Steamer Trunk w/ ALL compartments
I purchased this trunk at a sale in Santa Fe about 4-5 summers ago. This is by far the most remarkable travel steamer trunk I have ever seen. It is entirely covered in leather. Even the bottom. Instead of the usual wooden"straps" across the sides and top, this trunk has beige leather straps crossing the top and sides. The bottom does have the wood approx. 2" wide straps on the bottom. These tan leather on the top, front and sides are affixed with hundreds of brass round head tacks. The skin leather is a rich brown. It is thick and slightly weathered with a few cracks in the leather but I have kept it oiled and soft. The inside is equally as remarkable with 2 removable compartments. Both compartments have everything with them they came with. the top compartment has 3 leather straps with snaps that keep it shut. It can be opened ... moreby folding the lid back once or twice. The snaps read Polly Brand on them making them the original snaps. It also is complete with brass handles on the sides. Both compartments along with the entire interior has the original linen striped covering. The second compartment is complete as well with original linen ties. 4 brackets to keep it resting on both sides.everything is there. The woman I bought this from said a relative owned it during the war but I don't remember if she told me which war or I just never asked. In any case. I don't know. There are minor imperfections with this trunk, all of which I've noted but the leather skin, the leather straps, the brass tacks, the compartments.make this trunk Wonderful and Rare. It is a terrific decor piece as a stand alone. This trunk measures 32 1/4" long x 20 1/4" deep x 20" tall. I'm sure it weighs around 50 plus pounds. This listing is for a rare small vintage flat-top storage/travel trunk. The inside has been clear-coated to seal it and it has no strong or offensive odors. The trunk measures about 11-1/2" tall. 19-3/4" wide and 12" deep. It is still strong and sound, but does show damage from water, including staining. The outside has some scratches and tears from use over the years, including a small one on the bottom corner where the wood is exposed. AMAZING VINTAGE GENUINE LEATHER TRUNK/ CASE WITH BRASS HARDWARE- This stunning piece is approximately 35.5" wide x 20.5" tall x 9.5" deep. It is made of thick rich genuine leather with a gorgeous patina in hues ranging from brown to cognac to tan. It has two wooden skids on the back for protection. And it comes with a removable tan canvas cover and a pair of long leather straps that wrap all the way around the bag. The straps are damaged, and one of them is torn so it no longer fits all the way around the case. I would recommend replacing the straps. There is a lovely dark blue fabric interior lining. And t here are two functional brass hardware latches on this trunk. The central latch was removed from the case at some point. For sale is a beautiful Atkinson& Long Mfg. Co. Steamer Trunk. The trunk is in great antique condition. It has signs of use such as tarnish on the metal but all clasps and locks are in working condition! Comes with original keys, working condition Leather and brass components Leather handles show wear but are still attached! All rivets are in place Shows some scratches to the surface(see photos) Original interior upholstery, great condition! ORIGINAL LUGGAGE TAGS ATTACHED! Tags show"Railway Express Agency" which started operation in 1917. This trunk was shipped from Brooklyn, NY to Bates College in Maine. This is a beautiful accent and conversation piece. Can easily be used as a unique coffee table! Measures: 34" x 12 3/4" x 21" Local pickup only due to size.

Nice antique cowhide leather suitcase measuring 26" X 13" X 7.5" This piece is in pretty decent shape for its age with a great patina on the leather. Perfect designer piece. Or use it yourself as it is still completely functional. Leather is imprinted with some numbers and"Authentic Cowhide Guaranteed" pictured) All of the brass latches work great. And you can snap the lock in the middle shut and open it without a key(no key is included) Handle is in nice shape as well as the hinges for opening and closing. One of the leather straps has broken off and is in the suitcase, if you want to try and restore it. The other strap is still intact, but is dry and brittle. Beautiful Louis Vuitton Trunk Very nice trunk. Extremely rare size. It comes with both the original tray and divider for shoes. Extremely rare to have both! The brass hardware is all intact. The key also included included! The monogram is is good condition for a vintage trunk except from the wear that is pictured. Does show some marks from use as you can see in the photos. The brass shows some signs of wear such as tarnish. Rubbing and a few dents. The interior is in nice shape. The lid stays up by itself. The interior tray is very rare to have intact with the divider. The straps to the tray are all in place and free of tears snags. The serial number reads 805705. The monogram painting was done by Louis Vuitton and reads T.P.W. Unique, black, with nautical renderings on top sections, original hardware and leather straps(one side has broken strap, which I always thought gave it character) Belonged to my grandfather. I've always used it for storage; photo albums and winter gear, gloves, hats, scarves, snow pants, etc. Dimensions are 32 3/8" wide by 20 3/8" deep by 23" tall. What I love about this.
