It is approx 13 1/2" deep 34" wide and 15 1/2" tall. The original glass is good. The back is still very solid and has the original pull which is a little crooked due to the fact that the screw is bent that is attached to the pull. The scissor hardware for the door is all there. The two boards on the top are good and strong. It is a little dirty but will clean up nicely. Pictures will show you views of this item. All sections are the very desirable Grade 299(quarter ... moresawn/tiger oak with the medium finish) Has the very desirable ogee(curved) top and bottom. All sections are size D-10 1/4. Bookcase is ALL ORIGINAL. Original finish. Original wavy glass, original knobs on the doors. Bookcase is ALL COMPLETE. All labels are present and intact. All glass is present(no cracks or breaks) All felt along the tops of the doors is complete and intact. All scissors mechanisms are present. All acid-etched side bands are correct and present. I rescued over 20 sections from a storage room of an old Chicago school library, and these 6 sections were in the best condition. Condition of the sections is way above average for their age. After 100 years the finish on these cases has usually"alligatored" Not here. Although there are the usual scratches and chips in the finish, which is to be expected(there is a rub of white paint on the right side of one section shown in the photos) the outside finish is overall extremely smooth with a nice gloss. The very top has the most wear and scratches as the librarians slid and stacked items on top of the cases. There is also the reside from 2 old pieces of cellophane tape on the front of the top. I can find no delamination of the back panels, nor any bubbling of the veneer on the very top. Being in a library for so many years has preserved them nicely. Overall size of the bookcase is 84" tall x 34" wide x 12" deep. If you need more photos. Or have additional questions, please email me. Because I don't trust my packing skills on something of this size and value. I am offering this bookcase as a local pick up. The entire cabinet is made of Mahogany. It has all the original glass and hardware. The only exceptional is the pull knob on one of the add on cabinets. I believe the year of manufacture to be 1908.The overall dimensions are 73" H x 34" W x 11 1/2" D. The first two sections are 10 1/2" H x 34" W x 11 1/2" D. Top Section Stackable Bookcase & Drawer File Cabinet GLOBE Oak Wood 1930's
This Was the top section of a GLOBE stackable Bookcase. It has drawers as seen in photos. This was found all by itself sitting in an old barn here in California. It is not in the best of shape as you can see by my detail photos. It will need to be restored if you are planning on using it once again as it was intended. The one side of the cabinet was sitting close to an ope door. So it shows weathering to the wood and metal strap. It has chips to the wood, cracks and will need some glue to make this all come back together. I am trying to be right up front with those looking at the auction that this will need restoration. Vintage center section stackable bookcase with extra door this is a center section of a Lawyer book case there called barrister bookcase book case it has beer varnished a few times by the looks of it as there is varnished on the glass next to the frame. the unit works as all the clips are there also the extra door has the metal clips but hot the U shaped pieces that hold the door to the metal Z brackets that stop it from being pulled out of the case. there is a lot of signs of use and storage. this is about 33 1/2 inches wide and about 13 1/2 inches tall. Antique Lawyer's bookcase with 4 stackable shelves and in good working condition
Complete piece with all windows in good working order. Pictures are meant to show the top section removed and the sliding glass mechanism in the open and closed position. Stack contains 4 sections with a top and bottom section and there are no significant nicks or scratches in the wood. Antique estate find! This was found in a storage unit that was slam full of antiques and had been in storage for over 35 years. It is believed to be between 75 to 100+ years old! There is wear. There is a sticker on each piece of glass, but the glass is in excellent condition. One of the knobs/pulls is missing and has been replaced with a type of screw as a temporary fix. Lundstrom Antique Barrister 3 Tier stackable bookcase
For sale is a very old 3 tier with top. Lundstrom stackable bookcase with old wavy glass doors. Each unit comes off so you can have 1 or 3 book shelves. It is 33" 3/4 wide x 12" deep x 43" High. First let me say it need a lot of work to get it back into mint condition The one door frame has a good size chunk of wood missing, and the top there is some missing wood. Antique/Vintage 4 piece stackable bookcase bookshelves by Gunn -Project bookcase
This book case it stamped in two sections that it was made by Gunn. Also. On the back of the top piece is a paper label, stating trademark in Grand Rapids Michigan. This bookcase has cast iron metal pieces in between each section. This bookcase overall is in good condition. I am calling it a project because the two bottom glass on the door is cracked. Both of the bottom sections are bigger than the top two. Also there is light finish defects such as on the shelves& the legs. Most people would probably refinish it.
