This antique/ vintage salesman sample makes a great chest of ... moredrawers for a doll. The wood is either mahogany or walnut. Chest has very nice carved feet front and back with bowed top as well as bowed front. It measures approx 22" tall including swivel mirror. 12 1/4" wide at feet, and 9" deep at feet and has 2 small drawers at top and l larger drawer at bottom. Mirror is in fine condition. The small drawers each measure approx 5 3/8" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep. The one on the right has a smaller pull than the others but it appears to have been put on at the same time. Bottom drawer measures approx 9 3/8" x 8" x 3 3/8" deep. Bottom drawer has original lock(no key) and is lined with a silver color paper which appears to be very old. It measures 16" tall. 10" ... morewide and 6" deep. It has 3 drawers that have dovetail construction.There is a swivel mirror 5.5"x 6" in a fluted frame. The top of the frame has wooden dowels in the corners. It is in perfect condition with no marks. Chips or problems that I can see. One drawer inside has a crack but no separation. On the bottom drawer is a sticker with copperplate writing that says'Doll's bureau. Belonged& used by the four Lundberg girls. Now on 9/13/75 probably about 88 years old. Doorknobs actually fit into precut holes. Shelves fit into precut rows. Drawer is made with precut rows and glue- no nails! Drawer is removable. Both doors swing open. The mirror is on a removable panel which also fits into a precut row- no nails! Awesome vintage minature maybe a salesman sample from back in the day. Companies would give these away to seniors in high school hoping the parents would by a larger version. Made of Cedar condition is good NOTHING broken chipped or cracked. The mirror is removable. It measures 12 inches long 4 inches deep and it is 10 inches tall. Note the wonderful little brass drawer pulls. Drawers slide in and out with ease, nothing warped. There are a couple of slight scratches, with a bees wax rub you would never notice them.

Is what may be a salesman sample, doll furniture or even could be used as a jewelry box. in nice old used condition, which can use a light polish job and also, I think the white knobs may be replacements, as the screws are extended out longer than normal. The top of mirror is not glued down, which I have a picture of the top, plus mirror removed, but not sure, it may be that the top is not suppose to be secured The wood, may be pine, as it is a light weight, but I am no wood expert. Also, the comb and brush pictured on top, was with this dresser, so I am including it as well with the dresser. Measures around 20 1/4" high, including mirror, around 12" wide and around 6" deep. Up for bid is the vintage/antique WOOD SALESMAN'S SAMPLE VANITY DRESSER/ CHEST OF DRAWERS w/ MIRROR. As seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. Looks to be about 1/4 scale. Features a rotating mirror and(3) operable drawers(2 small at top, 1 large at bottom) Arts and Crafts style. Unsigned/no maker's mark(s) Exact age is unknown but I would venture to guess it is from the late 19th/early-to-mid 20th century. Found at an indoor flea market in Andover, N.J. in a booth that was filled with only amazing, old treasures) Made of a lightweight/low density variety of wood(perhaps oak, pine or alike) held together with both nails& screws(see pics) Stained dark brown with lovely patina. Excellent vintage condition with NO major defects whatsoever. Some small/light scratches(mostly to dresser top surface) and other very minor"blemishes" ... morethroughout. Structurally solid& sturdy. Sits flat with NO wobble. I cleaned the dust and smudges off the mirror BUT did nothing else. So aside from the mirror. It is being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. This miniature dresser has been in our family for 50 years. It was purchased by my mother in an antique store in Atlanta. Ga in the early 1960's and she was told it was from the turn of the century. I can only guarantee that it is over 50 yrs old as that is how long we have owned it, but I have no reason not to believe it is over 100 yrs old. It looks as good as it did when we purchased it 50 years ago and it looks like it was very well cared for prior to our owning it as well. This is a miniature or salesman sample of a dresser that is probably from the 1880's. It is well made from oak. It measures 16" tall. 10" wide and 6" deep. It has 3 drawers that have dovetail construction.There is a swivel mirror 5.5"x 6" in a fluted frame. The top of the frame has wooden dowels in the corners. It is in perfect condition with no marks. Chips or problems that I can see. One drawer inside has a crack but no separation. On the bottom drawer is a sticker with copperplate writing that says'Doll's bureau. Belonged& used by the four Lundberg girls. Now on 9/13/75 probably about 88 years old. Given to Peggy for her birthday 9/30/75" Perfect for dolls or bears. Doll not included. 2 Antique Miniature Salesman Sample Dresser Chest Drawers Vanity Doll Furniture?
Up for auction are 2 Antique Miniature Dresser. With pull out drawers and mirrors. Very solidly made! I am not quite sure as to the exact origin of these piece as if it was manufactured as a piece of doll furniture or if it was to be presented as a salesman sample. I think that they where saleman samplers, because the estate sale I purchased them at there was no kids toys or kids item sold at the sale. The larger dresser measures approximately 9 3/4" tall x 6 3/4" wide x 4 3/8" deep. It is solidly constructed of a fine hardwood( looks like oak wood to me) It features a mirror, but over many years, it lossing most of it refecting material around its edges(see pictures) it features 2 pull out drawers, but the one drawer is missing 2 of it wooden knob drawer pulls( see picture) The smaller dresser measures approximately 7" ... moretall x 6 3/4" wide x 3 1/2" deep. It is also solidly constructed of a fine hardwood( that also looks like oak wood to me) It features asmaller mirror, but over many years, it lost some of it refecting material in the bottom middle area(see pictures) it features 2 pull out drawers and has all of its drawers pulles. Both are in nice condition for its age. It does exhibit some loss/ wear to their mirrors and mising 2 drawers pulls, plus a few very small specks of white paint, that are not real noticeable. A couple very neat old pieces, these dresser would look amazing in any collection or doll house. Beautiful Vintage Salesman Sample Dresser or Doll Dresser 1900's Antique Pine
This is a beautiful piece. But it does have some damage. Missing a piece on the back left foot, so it will not sit straight unless it's up against a wall. Crack in the body of the piece. Left side. Crack in left side of drawer. Front of same drawer is missing a piece in the lower left corner. Also. There is a water ring on the top surface and several small nicks in the surface. There is a big wedge-shaped crack in the crown of the decorative woodwork. pics 2 and 3) 28" high. 13" wide, 6" deep. Looks like pine or other blond wood. miniature dresser. this is either a salesman sample from back in the day or my only other explanation a doll house dresser. It looks to be, to me. too big for that but i cant be sure. there is a circular stain top edge. but it only makes the piece more realistic. i dint do it. i bought it like that. seem to be from a perfume bottle i assume from the shape of the stain. i dare say, its an antique. i don't see nail marks i am not saying that it was not nailed together i am only saying that i don't see any nails.on the second tier of drawers there is a little discoloration from drawers open and close.questions or comments welcome.

Most likely for a doll house but could be a salesman sample based on the quality scroll work on the drawer faces. This piece was all hand made and put together with nails. Each drawer has wonderful flowing design of acanthus leaves pressed into the face. Each drawer also has great wooden pulls. Based on the 2 holes in the back of the top this most likely had a mirror. Condition wise the is in very good shape for it's age. The drawers all ... moreslide open smooothly and fit nicely into the case. As mentioned there are two holes in the top that held a mirror which unfortunately I do not have. These could easily be filled with oak plugs or covered with a nice runner. The left side does have what appears to be a piece that started to tear out of the wood right along the grain. I think this was a flaw in the wood as the piece is only separated down about 1/2" and is solid below that and tight against the side. The nail at the bottom is not holding it on. That nail is holding the side to the rail. The top drawer bottom does have a piece that has separated but has been glued back on and is tight. The bottom drawer has piece that came off the side but this can easily be glued back on. This does have a few old worm holes in the middle drawer front and the back but no evidence any recent activity. Please see my photos for clarity and ask questions if you have any other concerns. Up for bid is a Vintage Salesman Sample Vanity/Dresser. This is AWESOME! I got this at auction and there was a paper in the drawer that stated it was from 1880's-1910's. I have tried to show the workmanship in the pictures, look closely and you can see the wooden pins and pegs used to build it! There are some metal nails, I believe they were added after it was built, probably to tighten up some loose pieces! It is built of walnut and butterwood, according to the paper. The mirror is very neat, it has waves and bubbles, one rather ... morelarge one! From the olden days! The silvering is intact, no flaking! This was used by traveling salesmen to show customers what is available! Beats carrying the real one around! This one took a LOT of talking to convince my wife to let me sell it, she loves it! Drawers measure Smaller- 2 5/8" x 6" x 5 7/8" wide. Larger 2 5/8" x 6" x 12 1/2" long. The bottoms of the drawers are made of the same type of board on the back of the old radios from the 1940's. Not sure if the age, but does appear to be pretty old. Condition is good, the top has lifted a bit as seen in the photos. A nice heavy item. Does show some wear to finish from normal use and age, please see photos.

Up for Auction: Discovered this wonderful small HANDMADE WOOD CABINET. DRESSER, DRAWERS at a rural estate sale. Nicely made with two swinging front doors and one drawer. 8 1/4" across x 4 1/4" deep x 5 3/4" tall. Sturdy piece for doll furniture. I am not an expert on these items.
