These two chairs are in very nice condition for their age as represented with multiple pictures. The chairs are both tight and sturdy with strong, tight rush bottom seats that were probably replaced in the latter 20th century. The chairs each stand 38 inches tall to the top of the back and measure 21 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches front to back. The seats are 15 inches in height and are 20 1/2 inches wide by 18 1/2 inches, front to back. The back rest and across front of the seats on the chairs are beautifully carved and appear to have hand turned stretchers. These chairs appear to be made of walnut, with rush bottom seats. There is a delightful Louis VX influence to the design of this wonderful pair of antique French country chairs and are a terrific buy, ready for use in your home or place of business. HIGH END PAIR OF SUEDE ANTIQUE FRENCH MID MOD REGENCY SITTING DINING ARMCHAIRS
RELISTED DUE TO NON-PAYMENT* You are bidding on an excellent antique pair of mustard yellow suede and what looks like a dark stained oak chairs. Each chair weighs 35 pounds and dimensions are 21 1/2" width x 42 1/2" height x 26" depth with a 17" seat. These are absolutely beyond beautiful. These chairs were recovered by a high end designer out of California. Not sure the exact age or when recovered but underneath the black fabric on the bottom you can see the old burlap type material. The details are unreal from top to bottom. We found these in an estate we purchased. Everything in this home was high end 7.000 square ft home filled with designer furniture out of New York and California. The designer on the bottom label is Muriel Brown Gallerie of Interior Design out of Sherman Oaks, CA. There are a few minor flaws but ... morenothing a little scratch cover can't fix and some minor flaws in the wood that were covered when these chairs were redone. The suede on on chair looks like it needs to be"shaved" a little on the back part but again very minor. Also looks like small spot on seat of chair but I do not know how to properly clean suede so I left it alone. Again all of these flaws are minor I just want buyer to be aware of any and all flaws. Will ship these chairs thru greyhound to try to cut down on costs so buyer MUST pick up at the greyhound terminal closest to you. Due to the high quality of these I will have them professionally boxed and packed prior to shipping. I do not trust just having these blanket and shrink wrapped they are too nice to have messed up. 2 solid wood antique courtroom/ jury/ bankers armchairs. I believe these are oak. These chairs are really cool. They are solid wood. Very sturdy and comfortable. In their current condition they could be considered'shabby chic' with several minor imperfections and a rough finish but I like them that way and they still look great. One condition issue that I show in the last photo is a small piece of the wood chipped off the inside of one of the rear legs. Because it's on the inside. It's not easy to see and would be a quick minor repair. I've used them just as they are for many years and have had them next to modern art.
