A couple of coats of lacquer could be added to give it a more vibrant look if desired, but I personally like the mellow finish. The dresser has white and gray grained round corner marble top with the insert in the center, raised burl panels on the drawers, big circular buttons on the middle of the large drawers, Victorian tear drop pulls, candle shelves on the mirror, applied carvings, burl panels and a beautifully carved fancy crest. It is made of solid wood, and has a delicate inlay on the drawer fronts. The dresser has floral glass pulls on it that I am sure are not original to the dresser. They are very pretty, are larger in diameter, and are mostly in good condition but some of them have some chips, particularly towards the back where they are touching the wood. The dresser drawers used to have locks in them, but now only have holes in these areas. The dresser has dovetail joints that I believe are English dovetails.

These are mint condition with minor knicks from moving them that are an easy fix. I know that these are worth a lot of money but I am a reasonable person. I really just want to sell them to someone who would cherish them. We have cats. And dogs, and young adults who do not appreciate the value of these items. A Vietnam Veteran friend of my husband gave them to me because of our help and now both he and my husband have passed so there is sentimental value in there as well. Two mid-century modern chests of drawers made by Drexel. Designed by Edward Wormley. The larger chest is 19" by 32" by 43" and has seven drawers. The smaller chest measures 17.5" by 20.5" by 28.5" and has four drawers. The chests date to around the 1950s. A place for a padlock has been added to each chest. The chests are in good condition. With a few scuff marks. There are two areas on the larger chest that are damaged. See photos for more details. These stunning chests feature beautiful teak veneers throughout, all wood construction(including drawer frames) 6 drawers in each with two original teak semi circular pulls on each drawer(top drawers with lock hardware and partitions) matched veneer drawer fronts and gently tapered dowel legs. In very good original vintage condition.one very small veneer chip on bottom right side of each chest.one chest also has a small burn mark on top left edge and scratch on the left side near back. Up for your consideration is this nice set of chests and vanity I purchased at an estate auction. The vanity is around 47" wide. 25" high and around 18" deep. The 4 drawer chest of drawers is around 32" wide, 19" deep, and around 33 1/2" high. The 3 drawer chest is around 41 1/2" wide, 33 1/2" high and around 19" deep. They need cleaning and the 3 drawer chest has 2 gouges in the top. Vanity is missing the mirror. Please refer to pictures. I am listing these items as pick-up only but will deliver to the curb within 200 miles of our home.
