And is probably American Made(it is not marked ... moreanywhere) The chair looks to be machine made. Because of the turnings of the front posts, but it could be partially hand made. It is solid oak. It has been painted 4 times. Possibly originally. There are only scattered chips of paint, but on a couple I was able to determine that the chair has been painted pink(originally? Light blue. Dark green. And this current pea green. In that order. The chair is super strong and could probably hold an adult with a butt small enough to fit into it. The width of the seat is 12 1/2" x 11 1/4" The chair is 21" tall. 15 1/2" wide at the front and 12 1/2" wide at the back. The rockers are 21" long exactly. The arms are nicely cut in kind of a early American style. The back has 2 2" slats and the seat has 5 2" slats; they are not cracked. There is no structural issues with this chair. Please see the Description Section where I go into detail as to condition. The paint has dulled and taken on a nice patina of its own. But this chair has not been painted in decades, and in fact, the tone of the green has a certain" 1950's" coloring to it. As I state in the Description Section. This paint on this chair could be lead base. Or Kemtone. A brand name paint from the 1950's that adhered well and perhaps also had lead in it. For this reason, I would say this chair is more for an adult to decorate with than it is for a child to use. One of the nicest very nice early to mid- 20th Century children's chair you will see. I ship USPS. Fedex, or UPS, depending on which is the most practicable given the item being shipped. This would come Fedex Standard Shipping. I don't know it's exact age, but I would guess it's atleast 60-70 years old. The finish is very rustic, a beautiful patina. It's been painted, but it was many years ago because the most of the paint is worn off. From what I can see, there are traces of red, green and white paint. It is in good condition for it's age. But it is missing a piece of wood between the rear legs. still very sturdy. It weighs about 6 lbs. and measures approximately 21" high on the back. 10" high to the seat section, 20" from back to front and 12.5" wide at the widest section of the seat. Listed is a beautiful Antique Children's Rocking chair. This chair is made very well and it is still solid. Made out of oak. Has a cloth cushion. I am unsure of the exact age of this item. The screws used on the chair are look pretty old. Dimensions: Seat Height 14" Total Height 32" Total Length-30" Seat is 15" deep and 16" Wide. Chair Seat back height is 20-1/2" Tall. The condition is very good. There are some small dings and scratches from age and use. A couple of the seat cushion holders at the back of the chair are loose and are unable to be tightened. The cushion is very stable and tight. Cushion material is in pretty good condition for its age. This would be a very nice piece to add to a collection.

Child's Solid Oak Rocking Chair Rocker 1920-1950 Early Painted Beautiful Fancy
Here is a beautiful Child's Rocking Chair that dates. I would estimate, from the 1920-1950 period. And is probably American Made(it is not marked anywhere) The chair looks to be machine made. Because of the turnings of the front posts, but it could be partially hand made. It is solid oak. It has been painted 4 times. Possibly originally. There are only scattered chips of paint, but on a couple I was able to determine that the chair has been painted pink(originally? Light blue. Dark green. And this current pea green. In that order. The chair is super strong and could probably hold an adult with a butt small enough to fit into it. The width of the seat is 12 1/2" x 11 1/4" The chair is 21" tall. 15 1/2" wide at the front and 12 1/2" wide at the back. The rockers are 21" long exactly. The arms are nicely cut ... morein kind of a early American style. The back has 2 2" slats and the seat has 5 2" slats; they are not cracked. There is no structural issues with this chair. Please see the Description Section where I go into detail as to condition. The paint has dulled and taken on a nice patina of its own. But this chair has not been painted in decades, and in fact, the tone of the green has a certain" 1950's" coloring to it. As I state in the Description Section. This paint on this chair could be lead base. Or Kemtone. A brand name paint from the 1950's that adhered well and perhaps also had lead in it. For this reason, I would say this chair is more for an adult to decorate with than it is for a child to use. One of the nicest very nice early to mid- 20th Century children's chair you will see. Antique toddler/child-size oak rocking chair ~ 75+ years ~ with a wonderful hand cross stitched patchwork seat! The hand workmanship on this seat is exquisite and rarely seen these days! Top side of patchwork condition: One stitch thread is broken. All patches are all intact on top with one slightly threadbare. Underside patchwork condition: There are a few tears where the fabric has worn out and some broken stitches- otherwise the seat is in excellent condition for its age. This is another great family piece. This was my grandfather's when he was a young child(born 1907) My late mother kept this chair forever. It has all the original mechanism brackets and bar. I think the cushions are not original. But are very old. They appear to have had buttons on them at one time. Cushions are not perfect, but are still very attractive on the chair. This is a nice one family owner piece with a great look and patina on the original finish. This has been carefully cared for throughout the years. Shows some minor wear being 100 years old and all, but far less than most still original examples that I have seen.
