Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. This style was the most prominent and the best made of the 4 cast versions. It is made of polished brass and then aged to match your original knobs. Up for auction is an antique Macey Lawyer Barrister Mahogany 3 sectional bookcase. There are three gliding glass doors. One is missing a knob. All of the copper bands are in place and in very good condition. The top has a couple of marks and two wood retainers for a glass panel have split(see photos 10, 11& 12) For its age it is in very good conditiion. Made of quarter sawn oak and is marked Macey 98(see pics) The original hardware is all intact and the door works fine, glass not cracked. Up for auction is a rare 3/4 size mahogany Macey mission-style bookcase section with matching mission-style top. Original glass and hardware. Original finish has the alligator-skin texture to it. The section also has the original Macey label inside it. The top is solid and retains the original brass arm on the back that enabled this bookcase to"attach" to the one next to it. Up for sale is this barrister bookcase base and top. There is no label so I don't know the precise maker. The base is missing its bottom panel. There is some veneer loss/damage to the top along with other wear and tear, so please know that these are a refinishing project. The top measures about 34" across and 12" wide including the lip on the very top. The base is about 12 1/2" wide including the lip at the very bottom, and 34" across. The last photo shows how the top fits on a Macey D12 section, those sections are about 11 1/8"

This Victorian oak bookcase is made of four sections. Each stacks on top of one another and locks in for a strong fit. This bookcase was made from solid American oak and measures 59 inches high, 34 and one half inches wide, 9 and one have inches deep at three sections and 14 and one half inches deep at the bottom section. Three sections are 10 and one half inches high and the other one is 14 and one half inches high. Retains all its original beveled clear leaded glass. The doors retract and slide out of the way easily. This is a ca. 1900-1905 Fred Macey"D" 12" Stacking Bookcase Section. It has a golden oak finish. Measuring 11.5" Deep, 34" Wide, and 14.5" tall, 12" interior book height. The Macey stamp under the section reads"Macey Sectional Bookcase 4B" Its in overall very good condition with original finish. It has the double oxidized copper pulls. Condition: The overall original finish appears a little"dry" lost luster slightly) and has slight alligatoring. Original wavy glass and all original hardware including the back metal strap at the bottom of the back plywood that keeps it from warping over time and fits snuggly into the next bookcase section. It has the original spring loaded doors that still work. Note: there is a very small sliver/chip missing from the side of the door near the top that ... moreis barely visible from the front(see last photo. Shipping: Pick up or I can ship this via FedEx ground to the Lower 48. These sections are more difficult to pack and more expensive to ship. Shipping is at cost via FedEx ground. This is a ca. 1900 ogee quartered oak Fred Macey"D" Stacking Bookcase Top. It has the beaded trim! These are very hard to find and made only by the Fred Macey Co. from 1900 to about 1905. It has a golden oak finish. Measuring 12" Deep, 34" Wide, and 3" tall. The Macey stamp under the section reads"Macey Sectional Bookcase 4B" Its in overall very good condition with original finish. Condition: The finish appears a little"dry" on the sides(lost it's luster) And has a couple of the usual blemishes on the top. Note: in my last photo there is a small sliver of the inside board that is chipped. Right where one of the nails that secures the band is. I have the nail further secured by a tack so it does not fall out when the top is lifted off. The band itself is still very secure and not loose, still ... moreheld on tightly by the other three nails. All the hardware is original including the metal strip on the back that keeps the back plywood from loosing and rests snuggly on the bookcase section below.
