He actively used this bench until he retired about eleven years ago. Its is phyiscally solid very heavy and very cool. It has alot to do with the quality of workmanship which was so prevelent back in it day. It has a 2 1/2" thick top. The bench comes in two pieces the top bench and the Legs or stand. Spectacular....reclaimed table desk workbench sideboard industrial machine age
Incredible work of art.industrial desk. Work bench, table, machine age, reclaimed wood. Perfect as a sideboard. Kitchen island, desk, workbench, table I was given the chance to salvage anything I wanted from a small barn that was going to be demolished. The barn was right here in my home town of Fox River Grove. Illinois. This workbench was one of many treasures I acquired. It was in rough condition when I rescued it. I knew I could restore it to full glory. I think it came out spectacular, however you will be the judge, perhaps it will speak to you like it does to me! This is built like a battleship. The industrial grade frame is fantastic, it reminds me of a steel bridge.with the large rivets and big bolts&nuts.A few of the nuts are missing below the top, it has no effect on strength.there are so many other bolts&nuts holding the ... moretop in place, as I said built like a battleship! The top is 3 1/4 inches thick. Made of a total of 3 layers of wood. Uner the oak strip top are 2 thick layers of planks, the front and side edges are covered in pine. I love the incredible patina of all of the wood including stains. Nail& screw holes, oak pegs, pinholes, orange-ish stain area on left side of top, there is even an area on the front left trim where the wood was charred from being burned(it is sealed with varnish and looks great)no doubt a torch was used to repair/weld something.The top has some waviness/wear as you would expect with age, it just adds to the wonderful character. The patina is second to none.patina like this can only be created by years& years of use and hundreds of projects being done on this bench I restored the entire bench by hand. I added some of the solid oak pegs in the top to seal old holes. The entire bench has been hand sealed with varnish. Everything including the underside of the top, the entire metal frame has been sealed, making it easy to wipe clean. the top was sealed with many, many coats of hand rubbed varnish. This heavy. Large table once had wood vises attached to each corner, I bought it at an estate sale but I believe this originated at a trade school. The wood is lighter colored than it appears in the photos. I put it up in my hay loft to keep it out of the elements but it is dark up there(sorry for the poor photos) The table top has definite character. With plenty of nicks and those wonderful peg holes- this would look great re purposed as an industrial style kitchen table or island(think steampunk) Of course if you need a heavy worktable that can really take the abuse then this table is your candidate too. Vintage Industrial Table - Mid Century - Butcher Block - Desk - Workbench
This is a cool old metal and butcher block wood top industrial table or desk. It has three metal drawers. And the word“LYON” embossed onto the drawer assembly. The finish is a mix of light green paint. And patches of dark green paint, and a fair amount of rust spots throughout. The drawer assembly is grey. The wooden top is a butcher block style. Some of the pieces of wood on the top are slightly warped or uneven, and as you can see in the photos, the finish and patina of the wood top is very patchy and has various shades of wood colors. The right end of the wood top is a lighter shade than the rest of the top– it was sitting outside with another table covering most of it except the area on the right, and is a bit faded. Antique Country Carpenter Industrial Sideboard, Console Table, Rustic, Workbench
This is a fantastic and massive circa turn of the century workbench with character to spare. It measures 6'3.5" long not including the vises. 24" wide and 32" high. It is made with doweling and iron bolts. The top lifts off the free standing base. It has gouges, stains and cracks that only a century of use can cause. It however is very sturdy and functional with working vises and no cracks in the massive wooden screws that run the vises. Certainly could function as a high quality workbench or sideboard. Antique 1800-1899 Industrial Workbench Wood Top America Mission Arts & Crafts
Six foot long planks of hardwood have been hand fashioned together with wooden dowels. There are no metal fasteners holding this piece together. Age and weather have given it the dark brown patina and natural water resistance that makes it a perfect table top. This is the top of the work bench only. It does not have legs. We have it propped up on another table to display it. You would need to with do the same or have legs attached if you want to use it as a table.

Wood Oak Industrial Folding Table Desk Workbench Bar Stand Altar Drafting Podium
This table is a modern table- post 1950. This is the wrong category and that will be changed shortly. Thank you. Folded. This solid oak folding table is only 5 inches deep. It was custom made by a local craftsman. It stands 34" tall; it measures 30" x 35" Plus the handle. It weighs approximately 100 lbs! It uses four piano hinges and solid oak sides. It's all oak, and it looks like stainless steel on some of the hardware. The long bolts that hold the braces in place, however, are starting to rust. They are not stainless steel. If you want to pick it up, I will refund the full shipping/ handling charge. Believe me, I really don't want to ship this. It will be no fun to wrap. And I will have to drive it approximately 50 miles each way to the UPS center! The wood has scratches; the wood has little dings and chips; it's ... moreused, but it's so strong that it's good for practically anything. It also has some markings on it, and some paint. I'm sure you could sand the whole top down and refinish it very easily. I may end up keeping this one it's so nice. Yeah. Maybe that's what I'll do.buy it now before I change my mind. And really decide to keep it. Very solid!

Vintage Antique Solid Wood Industrial Factory Shop Workbench Table Great Patina
For auction is one beautiful vintage solid pine antique workbench. It has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. The top is made ofsolid 1.25" thick solid pine planks with a nicely weathered piece of Masonite over it with a semigloss sheen. It is very sturdy and has two drawers with gorgeous oval bronze pulls. There are holes here and there on the top from where vices and the like were at one time bolted. The pine is older growth and is free of knots. The very end of the backing trim has a cut out from where an outlet used to be. It measures 72" wide. 29" deep and 37" tall. There is 30.25" of clearance beneath the lower edge to the ground. This would make a fantastic standing desk. Restaurant or store fixture. The barn was right here in my home town of Fox River Grove. Illinois. This workbench was one of many treasures I acquired. It was in rough condition when I rescued it. I knew I could restore it to full glory. I think it came out spectacular, however you will be the judge, ... moreperhaps it will speak to you like it does to me! This is built like a battleship. The industrial grade frame is fantastic, it reminds me of a steel bridge.with the large rivets and big bolts&nuts.A few of the nuts are missing below the top, it has no effect on strength.there are so many other bolts&nuts holding the top in place, as I said built like a battleship! The top is 3 1/4 inches thick. Made of a total of 3 layers of wood. Uner the 3/4"thick oak strip top are 2 thick layers of planks, the front and side edges of the piece are covered in pine. I love the incredible patina of all of the wood including stains. Nail& screw holes, oak pegs, pinholes, orange-ish stain area on left side of top, there is even an area on the front left trim where the wood was charred from being burned(it is sealed with varnish and looks great)no doubt a torch was used to repair/weld something.The top has some waviness/wear as you would expect with age, it just adds to the wonderful character. The patina is second to none.patina like this can only be created by years& years of use and hundreds of projects being done on this bench I restored the entire bench by hand. I added some
