Up for Sale A sturdy. Vintage Globe-Wernicke Co. Mission style Barrister Bookcase from the early 1900's that has been in my family for years. It has three glass doored sections for books(the top section is 8 1/2" high. The middle section is 10 1/4" high. And the bottom section is 12 1/4" high according to the original labels.please see photos provided) The outside dimension of the bookcase is 51"s high. 11 1/4"s deep, and 34"s wide. The glass and the metal mechanism that opens the windowed bookcase sections is all original and in working order. The base has feet. Antique Globe wernicke Barrister stacking unit. 34 inches wide. 11 inches deep. The section has no breals, splits or repairs. I=The section has all the door hardware and scissor mechanism ans opens with ease. The door has the original brass knob. The section also has the original antique wavy glass and bands around the base of the section. The back is in excellent condition with no rippling or warping of the wood. It fits with all globe D sizes and macey sections. Reaal nice dark quartersawn oak finish. No surprises. I would prefer local pick up but would look into shipping. Nice old lawyers bookcase from Globe Wernicke. 55 inches tall. 34 inches wide and 11 inches deep. Label says grade 898 1/4 oak mission finish. Almost looks fumed. Has light wear, and 2 knobs were replaced. The others are real nice heavy original pyramid knobs and the bookcase has a rare drawer in the base with original mission pulls. Really nice shape. I think the finish is fumed oak and is a lovely mission look. 55 inches tall. 11 inches deep and 34 inches wide. 4 sections with a seperate top and bottom. Bottom has a nice drawer. Original finish. Original antique wavy glass. All doors open nicely and have all inside door mechanisms. All hardware is original except for 2 knobs which were replaced at some poit. A very fine antique. Circa 1905, Globe-Wernicke quartersawn oak five stack bookcase, with the bottom drawer section and the top cap. The stack interiors are maple. All oak doors retain their original wavy glass, and square brass knobs. Original brass pulls to drawer. The barrister type bookcase measures 6'1" 73" tall by 2'10" 34-1/2" wide by 11" deep, each stack 12" tall. Paper labels to interior read: size D 10-1/4, grade 299-1/2. Excellent condition: original finish, quartersawn oak boards without chips or cracks. All glass panels are without damage. Brass knobs and drawer pulls with dark patina.

This a misson lawyers bookcase from Globe Wernicke. Label says 898 quartersawn oak mission finish and each of the 4 sections are labeled. I think the finish is fumed oak and is a lovely mission look. 55 inches tall. 11 inches deep and 34 inches wide. 4 sections with a seperate top and bottom. Bottom has a nice drawer. Original finish. Original antique wavy glass. All doors open nicely and have all inside door mechanisms. All hardware is original except for 2 knobs which were replaced at some point. Globe Wernicke Bookcase Rare Arts Mission Style.
Arts Mission Bookcase. Excellent age related condition. Circa 1900. Two very large bookcases. Both being D 12 1/4. Base with drawer in great shape. And drawer opens and closes fine, as do the glass doors. Glass on both cases are wavy and old. But I can't attest to there originality. One of the glass doors has been extended at one point. Who. What, where, or why, I don't know. This is a solid wood series. Made with quartered and fumed oak. The pictures are very accurate in terms of condition and color of the wood. Which is darker then golden oak, with a reddish tint. The top piece does have a bit of lifting. But no splitting. Local pick-up. No shipping unless pre-arranged.

Very nice early Globe Wernike mission arts bookcase section with its top piece. The case is in excellent original condition. The top piece that goes with it does have some grain lifting on one end and a circular ring stain near the middle. Both of which I pictured to the best of my abilities. The case is solid flumed oak.

It has rolled feet and mission pulls. I think top is made of Mahogany, inside pine and outside Walnut. In very nice condition for age. 2 small pieces of wood scroll missing above both legs not a hard fix at all,I am just not qualified to repair. Original Globe Wernicke Co Mission Style File Cabinet
Mission Style original Globe Wernicke Co. Solid Tiger Sawn oak 3 drawer File Cabinet. This is a beautiful piece of furniture made around early 1900's. The cabinet measures 48" tall and 17" width. The 3 interior drawers measure 14 1/2" wide, 11 1/2" tall and depth is 22" and have all of the original hardware. The drawers have a wooden slide to hold files firmly in place. Local pickup only.
