This lovely vintage Art Deco Japanese kyodai. Or mirror stand& vanity dating from the early Showa period between1930 and the early 50's boasts an adjustable 3 way mirror that creates multiple reflections, made in a beautiful extra thick quality glass with beveled borders that still has a very clear reflection for its age. The center below the mirror is adorned with a textured glass surface reflecting a pale blue colour. Its Art deco lines, adorned with a lovely stripy grain veneer in a golden shade are accented by silver tone openwork handles. Small drawers offer space for accessories or make-up and it can easily fit on a night stand, chest or work top making it an very useable and versatile piece. It is in excellent overall condition for its age with no major damage. Antique Federal style mirrored dresser or chest of drawers dating from the early 1900's. Stunning flame mahogany veneers grace the surfaces of this piece and are decorated with intricate contrasting inlay. An inlay medallion of a lamp has been placed atop the swivelling mirror. This piece has six drawers ina 3 over 3 configuration. Providing ample storage space. All the drawers are made with high quality dovetail construction. The entire piece is raised off of the ground by short tapered square legs sitting on brass and wood casters. Overall. This piece is in good condition. There is some noticeable silver loss to the mirror(see pictures) but no cracks or other damage. She always had"modern" taste back then. No idea who the manufacturer was but back of the dresser reads"WMB 8862 8864 T. DR. and then"90 Blue Mink" Pieces are heavy and seem to be made of oak. The grain is visible with a shiny black stain on it. Which sort of gives it a blackish, blue color. The handles are gold metal, but not sure what kind. There is a routing line around several drawers that are filled in with a gold finish. It has been used so there are some nicks here and there, but she was pretty careful with her things because at that time they needed to last a life time. There is s faint line around the top where she must have ... morehad some sort of cover over it to protect the top. Both pieces are slightly more narrow at the top and then get wider at the bottom-pretty neat with interesting lines, modern lines. Legs are attached at an angle. Awesome vintage minature maybe a salesman sample from back in the day. Companies would give these away to seniors in high school hoping the parents would by a larger version. Made of Cedar condition is good NOTHING broken chipped or cracked. The mirror is removable. It measures 12 inches long 4 inches deep and it is 10 inches tall. Note the wonderful little brass drawer pulls. Drawers slide in and out with ease, nothing warped. There are a couple of slight scratches, with a bees wax rub you would never notice them.

Unsigned/no maker's mark(s) Exact age is unknown but I would venture to guess it is from the late 19th/early-to-mid 20th century. Found at an indoor flea market in Andover, N.J. in a booth that was filled with only amazing, old treasures) Made of a lightweight/low density variety of wood(perhaps oak, pine or alike) held together with both nails& screws(see pics) Stained dark brown with lovely patina. Excellent vintage condition with NO major defects whatsoever. Some small/light scratches(mostly to dresser top surface) and other very minor"blemishes" ... morethroughout. Structurally solid& sturdy. Sits flat with NO wobble. I cleaned the dust and smudges off the mirror BUT did nothing else. So aside from the mirror. It is being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. With an attached beveled glass mirror and 3 drawers with brass keyholes that do lock, needs a key-will be looking for one but many antique shops have a selection of antique keys) There are removable wheels on the legs. This measures approximately 40 in. W. x 20 in. deep x 27-3/4 in. H to the top of the dresser with the wheels in and 26-1/2 in. H. with the wheels removed. From the Floor to the top of the Mirror when it is attached to the Dresser it is 68 in. H. This is a beautiful old antique and would be lovely for a young girls room. This is pick up only. It has couple of l areas of blue paint on it one on the top corner and other small one the side. top has your average wear. Mirror I noticed when cleaning is starting to have haze marks. it has two spots of chips of the wood missing. front drawer and spot on the side bottom. On the left side I see some stain drips. W. x 22 in. deep x 34-3/8 in. H to the top of the dresser. From the Floor to the top of the Mirror when it is attached to the Dresser it is 70-1/2 in. H. This is a beautiful old antique with 2 very large deep 7-1/4 in. D. drawers, and 2 that are 5-1/4 in. Deep. This is pick-up only. absolutely fabulous old old old dresser with original hanging mirror! original design elements on dresser backsplash/ drawer corners and around knobs on top drawers So Cute! I changed out the original wooden knobs on the top drawers to a vintage blue milk glass ~ love the contrast the dresser had been painted all of these colors you see but I don't think they were consistent layers I sanded back most of the outer layer to expose a deeper butterscotch/ mustard color with hints of peach/ pink/ white and aqua on the mirror spindles as you can see one side is almost a solid mustard. In a glossy enamel paint and the other side(end) is splotchy with a deeper gold the front is mostly a light yellow which could be sanded further to expose more of the mustard/ butterscotch and whatever else lies below ~ I lined the interior drawer bottoms with ... morevintage seersucker fabric in cream with a gold stripe it had wooden wheels on it but I removed them as they were worn out and almost square ~ you could add wheels if you wanted to as the holes are already there mirror has some crackling/grazing/slight fogging ~ still in pretty nice condition ~ gives a true clear image condition: sturdy ~ solid ~ not loose or shaky! in very good antique condition each drawer opening has the old metal guides on each side ~ dresser is missing a total of 2 ~ 1 on the middle drawer and 1 on a top drawer ~ drawers open easily and it doesn't seem to be a big problem ~ they would probably move a little smoother with those 2 guides installed and maybe even some waxing/lubrication on the drawer itself where it slides in and out top of the dresser has some wood/veneer cracking/splitting(minor) on one side ~ I have sanded but not glued anything ~ I like it the way it is but you may want to smooth it a little more ~ top has natural aging and crackling this particular dresser/ bureau is so unique and sweet and charming I don't have words enough! measures 35" high 39" wide 20" deep mirror extends 26 1/2" more in height mirror is 29&
