I am unsure of the exact type of wood that it is made from. The spindles on the back are all in very good condition, and seem to be holding very firmly within the frame. The spreaders on the bottom however have some loosening at some of the joints and will most likely need to be reglued. The woven seat is broken at the front as can be seen in the photographs. It will most likely need to be rewoven, however, the wooden seat is intact and sturdy. This could also be remedied was something as simple as a cushion at least for the time being.

The seat is completely undone from the chair, and needs to be re-cushioned and upholstered. There is some fabric on the wood form of the seat now that will come with the chair. Vintage Steel Industrial Leather Seat Chair in Red Machine Age This is a very interesting old Machine age or Industrial steel frame chair with a hard leather seat. I am unable to find a manufacturers mark anywhere on the chair. I purchased the chair along with 4 others of the same type at a garage sale and I was told they came out of the GE plant in Syracuse NY. The chairs measure 18 inches tall at the seat the seats measure 15 3/8 inches roughly square The back rest rises 14 inches above the seat. The back rest is adjustable by about 2 inches and the legs are also adjustable by as much as 8 inches. Even the depth of the back rest can be adjusted. The chairs are sill very solid and sound but they have seen a lot of hard use. There is a lot of chipped paint but the chairs are still solid. Even the hard leather seat looks original and in relatively ... moregood condition. The screws that secure the legs are not all original, some take a flat screwdriver and some take Phillips. These are some pretty cool looking chairs and in my research i could find none like them on the internet. The paint is not original. The silver paint on the feet comes off fairly easily. Estimated shipping weight: 25 pounds. These can actually be made fairly compact and be shipped USPS fairly reasonably. This would probably be cheapest to ship via Greyhound freight shipping if you purchase more than 1 chair. But I can't find any dates on this chair. It is really comfortable to sit in-you can raise or lower the seat level and the back-rest can be adjusted to fit your posture. The chair swivels and has casters for rolling around. The back rest also swivels completely around(see the picture where I show it perpendicular to the floor. Crude but great lines and it is an old one which I've never seen before. I was emailed that it is an early 1900's Domore. Seat height adjusts from 22" to 27" Back may be adjusted for both height and depth. As you see the chair now it is 23" tall at the seat. 34 1/2" tall at the back. Seat is 16" wide by 11" deep. Back is bent plywood and is delaminating from being in the weather-it poured down raining the day of the estate sale. also a few strips of veneer missing from it. Seat is decent but also shows wear. The chair is ready to use! It has a Great metal frame with brown leather upholstery- all original. It's a good early one! There is no maker's mark on it but I am 99% certain that it is a DoMore chair, as I have had several in the past and they looked just like this one. Looks to be 1920's or 30's vintage. Rare to find with original upholstery in such good condition. The chair is fully adjustable. The seat can be raised and lowered and the back reclines using the cool machine age knob below the seat. The padded leather back support is nicely pleated on the backside and also swivels horizontally, as well as adjusts up and down. This is just a great old industrial ... morechair and would work perfectly as a desk chair and would fit nicely in any mid-century modern, steam punk or vintage decor. For sale is this set of 4 industrial stools. The stools are in good condition and made of a heavy steel base and have wood seats and wood backs on them. They are stamped on the bottom"Sit-Rite" and made by Edward L. Koenig Co. of Chicago Illinois and are probably from the 1930's or 1940's. The stools are adjustable and measure 41" from the ground to the top of the backrest at their highest point and 31 1/2" to the top of the backrest at their lowest point. From the ground to the top of the seat at the highest point they measure 27" and 17" at their lowest point. I have included pictures to show them at their lowest and highest adjustments. Up for bid is an Antique/Vintage Circa. 1890- 1910 Industrial Machine Age Era Solid Quarter Sawn Oak Wood Office Tanker Arm Chair in Great Vintage Condition and Ultra Rare& Very Scarce as these are rarely found. These old industrial chairs are becoming harder and harder to find as industrial furniture is extremely hot right now. This design looks like it was manufactured by(Heywood Brothers) before they became"Heywood Wakefield" but it is missing the original paper sticker. It is stained a very beautiful nice dark brown in color. The back of the chair is spring loaded which is adjustable and it also has heavy duty industrial era steel threaded pipe which the chair moves freely up and down on. It is extremely heavy solid oak throughout the entire chair with such a gorgeous patina to the old wood grain. The chair does have a repair ... moreon the seat where it had cracked in half but it was bolted back together underneath the bottom of the chair and there are 2 screws on the seat. It is now very solid and sturdy. I weigh over 200 lbs. and there are no worries at all when I sit on it. Overall. This is such a nice piece that has lasted well over a hundred+ years without falling apart. It will last another 100+ years without falling apart if taken care of properly. The hardware used to put these solid oak wood chairs together with back then was machined and forged by hand and is extremely durable. This chair is unbelievably heavy weighing in at 32lbs. It is 38" tall when it is adjusted all the way to the top as far as it goes with the seat being 20" above the floor. I can be adjusted down to 34"inches tall when it is adjusted all the way down as far as it will go with the seat being 16" above the floor. The top seat measures 20" wide X 18" deep. The back piece measures 19" high X 17" wide at the top and 15" wide at the bottom. The arms of the chair are 12" long X 9.5" tall. Vtg Machine Age Industrial Aluminum Mid Century 1951 GOOD FORM CHAIR Swivel
Up for auction is an original 1951 mid century era good form aluminum mill finish office chair. It is usable as is and the adjustments still work it does have dings and dents on the base and the original leather canvas with enamel covering show some wear as shown in the photo. The casters are shiny stainless steel but I do not believe they are original they may have been replaced in the 1960s. I will need to partially disassembled the chair by simply unscrewing the back adjustment making the back come off and pack neatly into the box to get it into cheaper shipping. The paperwork is on the bottom and the name tag is still on it. This will need refinishing and polishing and reupholstering to be a showpiece but use it as it is now has a primitive piece of industrial age office equipment. Thanks for looking. Posted with

The chair is super comfortable, nice spring to it and the seat sits nice and firm, springs are still excellent. I am pleased to offer you this classic vintage industrial designed drafting chair. Manufactured by UHL Toledo Metal Furniture Company between 1930-40's. I have a total of 3 of these stationary chairs. I am selling each one INDIVIDUALLY through auction. The chair is adjustable in height with an adjustable backrest. The bentwood seat and back appears to be walnut. The chair is not restored, not a reproduction, all original right down to army green paint that was applied the day it was produced out of the factory. The chair is marked with TOLEDO label. Expect chair to show age related wear, a nice amount of patina. No breaks, or split in wood. Chair has not been cleaned up, I will leave that to the new owner. The chair is stationary. No swivel, the chair is easy to adjust adjust from 19 1/2" to 22 1/2" high.

Here we have a stylish vintage Art Deco arm chair from the 1940's. The maker's tag has deteriorated and therefore unreadable. This piece is in good vintage condition. Here is a vintage machine age Art Deco industrial desk/ drafting chair that is in pretty good condition for age. The seat and back rest have no rips. Tears or stains. The back rest is adjustable and has the original knob. The legs are spider shaped great art deco look! Legs measure 9 1/2" high from floor to horizontal piece of leg. Wheels turn freely and ball bearings look good. Chair rolls around nicely. Also swivels all the way around! The chair will go up and down when spinning if you hold the piece in the middle looks like there was another knob that is missing and someone has put a screw in it, I mention only for accuracy chair still functions properly and shaft is well oiled and threads all look good as well. Chair stands 36" tall, seat measures 18 1/2" wide and 17" from front to back. Back rest measures 13 1/2" ... moreacross and is 8" high. Seat is comfortable as well. Legs has some light specks of rust here and there but doesn't show that much as you can see in the pics. The legs can be taken off as one piece and put on another chair if desired. The solid oak chair has classic steel hardware and knobs. Casters are intact and roll free and smooth. The spring-loaded solid wood seat back functions exactly like a modern office chair. The seat adjusts from 16" to 20" in height. And the seat back also adjusts in height. There is an empty predrilled hole next to the seat back screw knob.
