This Is An Authentic Beautiful Victorian Antique Child's Rocking Chair With An Amazing Fan Shaped Back. It Could Be Used As A Photographer's Prop. A Display Piece For Dolls or Bears, Or For Your Favorite Grandchild. According To The Label On The Bottom Of The Chair. This Rocker Was Made By Conant& Bush of Gardner, Mass* It Was Never Painted This Rocker Was Purchased For A Woman Named Jessie Who Was Born In 1888 Her Baby Picture Will Accompany Her Rocker On the back of her baby picture is written"Jessie Born 1888 in Hampton. N.H. This exceptional rocking chair is made of rattan. Reed, and cane. It is in very good antique condition. The chair used to have a caned seat and back. When the center cane pieces broke. Possibly because Jessie stood on it, a wooden seat was placed over the top of the original caned seat. That seat ... morehas holes some of which form at star. The cane remnants are under the wooden seat as shown in the 10th picture. It does have some other condition issues. None of these issues affects the chair's stability. There are several pieces of wound reed missing. Examples are shown in photos 6-8. One area has been bound with copper wire soldered into place. There are a couple of other areas along the chair's arms where the reed binding is broken or is missing. This is simply a stunning and authentic child's reed. Caned rocker that is 133 years old! As of the time I listed this rocking chair. Another Ebay seller was selling a envelope and stamp postmarked 1885 by the chair's makers Conant& Bush. This rocking chair is approx. 23" high. Across the arms the chair is 17 1/2" The back is 15 1/2" high and 15 7/8" wide.

ANTIQUE OAK CANE BACK HIGH CHAIR/CHILDS ROCKER--CIRCA 1900'S
Beautiful oak folding high chair or rocking chair. This high chair is in wonderful original condition. And has the clever design that it has been built with that will permit the chair to be adjusted up and down making the chair into a rocker when in the lowest position and the high chair in the upright position. The rattan/wicker seat/backing is in great condition, no broken pieces. Approx. measurements: When the chair is fully extended it is 40" tall, folded it is 27" This piece dates to 1900 and there are no markings on it. The tray is also missing but it still makes a great little chair. I'm sure the spindles could use a bit of tightening up.

Antique early 1900's child's cane back and seat rocker. This I very we'll made and appears to be all done by hand. This rocker stands roughly 27" tall. The seat is 14" wide and 12-1/2" deep. This is a rare find in this condition. There is one screw.in the back rail that attaches each arm. The rest is done with wood pegs. There is a slight wiggle to the right arm and left rocker, just slight so probably needs some wood glue. Up for auction is a beautiful 1920's era children's rocking chair. What makes this chair special is the light and dark color wood inlay on the back and seat. Very rare to find this in a child's rocker from that era. The wood appears to be walnut and oak but I cannot say for sure. There are light scratches throughout due to natural wear but no deep gouges or missing pieces. The woven cane seat is in excellent condition with no tears, breaks, or puncture holes. The woven seat was newly replaced when I bought this chair from an antique dealer in 1991. The arm rests are curved and wide and have bentwood feature where they connect to the back of the chair. It is very comfortable and extremely graceful and classic looking. I just don't have room for it in my little apartment.
