This is a really nice quartersawn oak barrister bookcase. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stacked bookcase. This piece was manufactured by the GLOBE WERNICKE Company of Cincinnati. They were competitors of Macey and others. Four separate stacks with this bookcase-a graduated unit with 3 different sizes. Note the top unit has a leaded glass door. Original labels on the interior and nice leopard bands on the sides. Super finish which is smooth and even. The interior height of the units is 13.5. 11.5, and two which are 9.5. This is a very nice five stack graduated stepback barrister quartered oak bookcase. This case was manufactured by Globe Wernicke; a competitor of Macey and some of the other bookcase makers. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stacking bookcase. This quartered oak unit retains the original Globe labels. Bookcase contains four different sizes of cases(stacks) to accommodate different size books(or whatever) This unit also has a stepback bottom unit which is deeper-quite useful. Mission. Arts and Crafts oak bookcase with beveled, leaded glass in all eight sections. This bookcase is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and aesthetics. You are bidding on a Globe Wernicke mahogany leaded glass door for a older. Early deluxe 8 1/2 bookcase. No cracked or broken glass. Leading is solid and in great shape for its age. Some scratches on the wood as can be seen in the pics and has the original mahogany finish. Door measures. 32 3/8" x 9 5/8" fits a 8 1/2 bookcase. A very solid leaded glass door in great condition for its age with a deluxe original knob. Will be packed very well to protect the integrity of the leaded glass and door.

Half size quartersawn oak barrister bookcase leaded glass w drawer---14958
Adorable half size quartered quarter sawn oak barrister bookcase. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stacked bookcase. These were mostly made by Globe Wernicke or Macey Co. but I do not know the manufacturer of this one. Piece is executed in quartered oak with leaded glass doors. Each with pretty beveled diamonds. Additional highlights include a sculptured top and a full skirt. Completely professionally refinished(some of the backs may have been replaced) and in excellent condition(beautiful smooth surface) with all doors operating perfectly. Note drawer in bottom section and ball and claw feet. 17 wide x 12 deep x 59.5 high. Super piece. Small enough to ship UPS. Glad to answer any questions you might have. Gunn Antique Oak Barrister Bookcase with Leaded Glass and Secretary
A very beautiful and useful stacking seven piece(includes top and base) sectional bookcase manufactured by Gunn. The oak bookcase has a mahogany finish. Measures 35” wide, 12” deep, and 69 ¾” tall. It features 2 leaded glass sections with original glass. It also has a fold-down secretary with pigeonholes, all original pieces in tact, with working lock& key. There is a large book section and a drawer section. This bookcase is original to my family. Good condition. Lead Glass all original. Secretary has all working parts including original lock& key. The backing pieces have some warping. The back left leg has some surface damage. Please refer to photos. This piece can be fully restored to its original beauty.

Antique Oak Macey 8" Barrister Bookcase Section w/ Leaded Glass
Up for sale is an antique Macey Bookcase section from Circa 1910. It has leaded glass and is all original. The dimentions are 11" tall(roughly 8.5" inches for interior book room) 33.5" wide, and 11.5" Deep. Similar to a Globe Wernicke D-8 section, but not quite compatible if stacked with a Globe Wernicke due to a slight difference in how the top of the doors are made. The"Macey" stenciling exists inside of the bookcase, along with"98. Condition: All original. In very good condition. Original finish and glass. The finish is slightly alligatored, but the quarter-sawn oak still shines through nicely. The leaded glass has a crack on one of the larger panes, as well as one of the small triangels. There's a couple spots of flaking to the leadwork(see picks, lighter spots. There is a section of green paint ... moreon the back of the bookcase and the very back of the copper band where it folds around the back. That's it- all mechanisms original and work nicely. Shipping: No wrapping charge as I have the packing materials. I will remove the door and wrap that between two pieces of styrofoam to prevent the glass from bending inward during transit(old leadwork not reinforced and protected during transit is bad) Shipping will be via FedEx ground to the lower 48 USA only. No international shipments or out of the lowe 48. Pickups welcome. Shipping is at cost. And it will be packaged in a 20 X 20 X 42 box. Rough estimate of shipping to the east coast is around $30-$35 east coast; $40-45 central US; and $50-$60 Rockies to the West coast. Oak 4 Stack Barrister Bookcase with Drawer and Leaded Glass by Globe -Wernicke
A beautiful 4 stack quarter sawn oak barrister bookcase by Globe-Wernicke. This bookcase features a top 8.25" tall leaded glass section. Two(2) 12.25" sections and one(1) 10. 25" section. The base has a dovetailed drawer with two brass knobs. Original stickers are on the interior back. Metal strap banded sides completes the look. This is all in original finish with a great patina. Very good condition, with minor wear appropriate to age and use. Overall dimensions are 62" tall by 34" wide by 12" deep at base. A chip on the bottom right of the 2nd shelf up, Two chips in the back(which can't be seen with covers open at normal eye level) Excellent condition, this bookcase will go for apx. $2400(look around!
