The signs of their years of service have been preserved in our restoration process. The cart was manufactured by the Lineberry Company in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. No end-to-end rocking: These carts were designed and built to be used in factories. They are solid and strong. But they rock end-to-end. This is actually part of their design. It made them easier to roll over the uneven surfaces of a factory floor. It's a good design for a factory, but bad for a table. So. We fix the rocking by adding an improved set screw to each end-wheel and ship a wrench with the cart so you can adjust the table just the way you want it. Made by Service Caster and Truck Co. in Albion, MI, was recently removed from Messing Planing Mill in St. Louis. MO. It is fully functional. In original condition and can be used as a cart or small table. This is a smaller but taller style cart and measures 36"L) x 24"W) x 26"H) and weighs a measly 270 lbs. It is in the exact condition that it was when it was removed from the building. Anything that looks white is gypsum that fell from the leaky roof and stuck to the wheels. It will clean up great. The only missing part is one screw for the metal retention piece on the top(and I may have a replacement for it) All castings look to be solid with no repairs. This cart will fit anywhere in your ... morehouse and a pair of them would make great nightstands. The photos look the same. But the cart has been turned around so that you can see both sides. This John T Towsley cart was originally manufactured in Cincinnati. Ohio around 1920. I have completely restored this cart using reclaimed Heart Pine from local cotton mill in South Carolina. All original castings have been bead blasted. Painted satin black and sealed with clear coat to protect cast iron. The casting are in perfect condition with no flaws or breaks. Restored Lineberry Factory Railroad Cart - Coffee Table - Antique Gray Stain
Fully restored Lineberry factory cart! Perfect for that industrial/rustic look to be used as coffee tables. These are beautiful pieces and are a wonderful focal point in your living room! In the early 1900's Charles Lineberry started the Lineberry Foundry and Machine Company in North Wilkesboro. North Carolina. Often called railroad carts, these beautiful carts were originally used in railroad depots for transporting trunks, and were later used in furniture factories for moving large pieces from one specialist artisan to the next. As late as the 60's and into the very early 70's the company shipped around 1000 of these carts a week. Each cart is fully disassembled. Cast iron and wood. Cast iron pieces are individually sandblasted. And they are repainted in a flat black paint. Nail are replaced w/ black pyramid head nails. Bolts ... moreare replaced with new hardware(elevator bolts) As seen in the pics. The frame is taken apart. Each plank cleaned and sanded(maintaining its' original surface texture) Stained and sealed. It is re-assembled and stored for curing for several days. Restored Antique Lineberry Factory Cart Industrial Coffee Table Glass Top
This factory cart has been restored down to the nuts and bolts. This is the second one that I have listed. The other one has a wood top this one has a glass top. Having a glass top makes it nice because you can see all the works on the inside. The top measures 48" by 27" It was completely taken apart and cleaned and finished. All the wood cleaned and sanded. All the wood has three coats of poly finish. This cart is absolutely beautiful. Please check out all the pictures and please zoom in on them. This item must be picked up and payment is by paypal. Antique Railroad Cart With Inset Glass Up for your consideration is this re-purposed railroad cart/factory cart. These carts had many of uses in the past and many are still used in factories. The carts are from the early 1900's. They are very solid and the reason they are still around and being used. Kick back with this very cool and unique table. This table is classy enough to go anywhere in a home. A lot of hours went into the table and am very happy with the results. I took off all the boards and started by picking the best boards to reuse. The boards were turned on the sides and two boards make up the two ends. This was an enjoyable project and happy with the way it turned out. Being able to see the wheels through the glass is very nice. These cast iron wheels have the unique circular pattern. The four cast iron wheels are original ... moreto the this cart. All four wheels are exactly how they were found. The wheels were only cleaned with a light soap and water. No harsh chemicals have been used, at all. None of the iron parts have been painted or coated. The corner brackets were added. Which came off of another cart similar to this one. The brackets have been lightly coated to preserve the patina. The coating did not cause them to be super shinny. All the wood is original to this cart. Which includes the wood frame. A couple coats of Polyurethane have been applied to the wood. A matte finish has been used so it does not have a super shinny finish which you often see. The pictures are not the greatest. Took them in the room where the finish was applied and not outside. More pictures can be sent upon request. A quarter inch glass is used in the middle. The cart is 62" at the longest stretch. From one corner bracket to the other. The wood frame the long way is 53" The glass is 38 1/2" at the longest stretch. Going the other way the widest point is 30 1/2" The glass is 21 1/2" wide. I will deliver to many parts of Wisconsin. Antique Original 1930s Chas E Francis Factory Cart Coffee Table Lineberry Vntg
PICKUP ONLY IN DALLAS. TX. Located south of north park mall just north of Dallas. This is an original CHAS E FRANCIS factory cart. All original. Farm fresh. Found it in an old warehouse. These Chas E Francis carts are ultra rare and you rarely find one for sale on eBay, craigslist, or anywhere. You usually see lineberry, jake, etc. Enjoy the beauty and history just as it sits or take on the restoration project. About 54' x 28' x 16' high All original hardware is intact. Original wood. Everything about this is 100% original. As you can see hardware is very rusted. The bolts will not come out as is due to the rust. You'll need naval jelly/chemicals to derust obviously if you're looking to restore. Also the one end wheel does not rotate freely so it drags while moving the cart. The other works fine. Cart can still be moved ... moreeasily but it won't work well in a cart function unless fixed. One end wheel is an inch or so lower than the other so it does bounce back and forth w/ weight change. This can probably be fixed w/ some screw(I haven't messed w/ it) or you can retro fit it with a support beneath the wheel. Would make an incredible outdoor patio coffee table or indoor if restored. I had this listed on CL and got almost 10 hits. Given the interest. Figured I'd offer her up on eBay.

The frame and deck are stained medium/ dark with several coats of polyurethane to protect the finish. The cast iron parts are in perfect condition with no flaws or breaks.
