Antique Humpback Trunk "Nice Oak & Tin Designs "
For your consideration is an antique humpback trunk with very nice oak trim boards along with a very unique tin top and sides. I believe it is all original including leather handles.Paper label inside and all outside trim. The locks on both sides of the trunk have a latch that locks the top down and both work. The colors of the oak slats are a little darker due to their originality and go great with the goldish-yellow tin sections. It measures approx 32 1/4 in wide by 17 deep and 19 in tall. Antique Vintage Wooded Trunk Chest Steamer Humpback Rustic Cabin Decor
Up for auction is this beautiful wooden trunk. This is smaller in size than the much larger once that are usually listed. It overall dims are 26" long by 14" deep(front to back) by 13" tall. It comes with the key but the lock is missing. The face plate is there so it isn't affected cosmetically but the lock assembly is gone. Very rustic looking chest. The wood is very light weight like Cedar but the knots give it the look of Pine. The crack across the front gives it a great look. The channels and groves in the wood are from bugs and worms and give it one of a kind characteristics. Awesome in my eyes. This definitely has that Pirate Treasure Chest look going for it(except for the red lining inside of course) Very sound and sturdy yet looks to be made long ago. Pictures tell the story. Rare Vintage Antique Humpback Steamer Dome Top Trunk lined with Copper
I have up for sale a unique and wonderful vintage Copper Covered Humpback Steamer Trunk- yes you are reading this right- copper covered. First time in nearly 30 years of dealing that I have seen a humpback made with copper. It comes from the estate of an elder pair of local collector's. They had a small private museum and this was one of the items in the museum. The trunk weighs approx 33 lbs as you see it. Measures approx 26" long x 19" tall, and 15" deep. It has wood slates, a copper covered body, and brass plated latches and brass plated handles on the sides. I estimate the age to be from the early 1900s to 1940s. The trunk is in very good overall condition! The copper has some age and use wear. Looks as though it was polished way back when and has now darkened and tarnished over. The interior looks as though it was ... moreredone somewhere down the line. This is a good solid piece, not too big not too small, nice and sturdy, very unusual with the copper covering. I will package with great care and ship fully insured. Always keep all boxes and all packaging materials in the rare event you have to issue an insurance claim. If you do not keep the materials.
