Antique Globe-Wernicke Co. Set of 5 Oak Stack Bookcases Ea Unit - D 12 1/4
This auction is for a beautiful set of 5 stack bookshelves made by the Globe-Wernicke Co in Cincinnati. Ohio. The set is in very good condition and each door opens and works very well. I bought the set about 20 years ago in an antique store so I don't know any actual history, but the hardware and small brass knobs on the doors seems to be original. Each door has beveled glass and the brass strappings on the ends are in good condition. There are labels from the manufacturer on the back wall of each shelf, some more faded than others due to age. The overall height, including the base, is 82 inches. Each case is 11 1/2 inches deep, 34 1/2 inches wide and is 13 1/2 inches high. The set is pictured in my home and as is evident in the photos.
