Governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony. The desk is a reproduction made by the Maddox Table Co. of Jamestown, New York. This desk comes right out of the New England estate. The desk has those wonderful features most folks are looking for, such as all-wood drawers with dovetail corners, and clawed feet. The hardware and locks are the originals that came with the desk, not replacements. The desk was in my family for around 60 or so years, so the desk dates to at least 1950, and it may be older than that- I'm just not sure. The desk is the slant-front style, hinged at the bottom, so it opens up and the front lays flat to become the writing surface; the desk front can be locked. When the desk front is opened and lowered into the writing position, two arms come out automatically to support the writing surface. Inside the desk there are 3 small drawers, and holders for stashing letters and so forth. In the center of the opened desk, inside, there is a closed compartment with no lock; the compartment door is scratched. There are 3 drawers below the writing surface that extend almost the full width of the desk, and each one of them can be locked. These drawers have a graceful bow front(see photos) Above the desk itself is a prominent feature, a bookcase with 2 shelves covered by hinged glass doors that swing out and can be locked. The bookcase doors do not line up 100% vertically when closed, a common problem with these desks. The dresser top ha s been finished in a tongue and groove style and has two generous shelves each with a rebated trough making them ideal for displaying plates. There is an unusual sweet feature in that there is a small decorative bracket in the centre under ... moreeach of the shelves. The very top of the dresser has an extra deep canopy with a waved edge and subtle carved detailing. The waved edge of the canopy is continued on the side pillars. T he edge of the work top has a smooth beveled edge and there is a vertical rebated stripe detail in the central panel between the doors. French Provincial Blue Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Antique Chic Dresser Antique
Absolutely gorgeous piece. Federal Dresser- no mirror. Hand-painted rustic french blue with homemade hand-mixed plaster paint. Lightly distressed and glazed to give it that extra pop of faux texture. All original brass hardware intact. Has locks on drawers, but no key. Measures 20 3/4 inches deep(at widest part- since top bows out) 41 7/16 inches wide, and 34 3/8 inches tall. Does have small slight damage(but I think it gives the piece that extra worn rustic character) on the left bottom and the back has a crack. I have included pictures for reference.

Antique French Provincial Dresser ASCP Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Fredericksburg
Antique French Provincial solid wood high boy. Hand painted with Annie Sloan chalk paint and lovingly glazed with Martha Stewart metallic paint. Original pulls.Color may not be true depending on your screen settings. So I will describe it. Underneath is a very subdued purple and it is then washed with a neutral lightest tan or dingy white. The piece was then washed with a silver metallic gray. The color looks more to me as a silvery gray with the slightest bit of a purple undertone. Because of the scalloped edges, all measurements are taken at the broadest area- 49 inches tall, 36.5 inches wide, and 19.5 inches deep.

1930's Antique Vanity Dresser Hand Painted Annie Sloan Desk
Antique 1930's double topped box vanity. She was painted in my own hand-mixed decorative paint in shades of cream and indigo blue. She was then hand waxed with Annie Sloan Dark Wax. Which is a premium furniture wax. Set on her original wooden casters(although she is missing one, but it does not affect her functionality) Original hardware and original wooden appliques. This is such a gorgeous piece. This piece can be used as a Desk, a TV Console, a Server, or a Vanity. 49 inches wide, 28 inches tall from counter to floor(top boxes add 5 additional inches) and 20 inches deep. She's very old and has had some veneer issues. Veneer was pulled off where it was loose. Then sanded down and painted over, but you can still see slightly where veneer meets the natural wood, but I think it gives this piece character. Drawers all function. There is a top insert that is a soft vinyl like material that we painted over with the Versailles and it covered it nicely.
