Four separate stacks with this bookcase-a graduated unit with 3 different sizes. Note the top unit has a leaded glass door. Original labels on the interior and nice leopard bands on the sides. Super finish which is smooth and even. The interior height of the units is 13.5. 11.5, and two which are 9.5. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 12 deep, and 57.5 high. I don't think you will find a nicer four stack unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. I have spent endless hours locating a source for these knobs. This auction is for 2(two) AGED/BURNISHED) base knobs. Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. This style was the most prominent and the best made of the 4 cast versions. It is made of polished brass and then aged to match your original knobs. The aging and burnish process takes a 5 step process and can be hazardous to perform. The aging/burnishing is done at essentially cost. See our ad for Aging Solution. If you want the knobs polished it is an additional please see the other ad. $375.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Scranton, United States This 2 section barrister bookcase has been refinished on the outside maybe 20 years ago and painted on the inside and on the back in a blue/grey sort ... moreof color. Probably done at the same time as the finish. The spots that might have revealed the maker name have paint on them so I am selling it as maker unknown. In addition to the 2 sections, it comes with the original top or crown, and a base with drawer. It also features metal side straps between each section and the scissor mechanism for the doors. No problems with the 2 glass doors. In fact, I see no problems at all. With the square straight legs it is very mission looking and being from about 100 years ago, I think we can safely call it authentic mission furniture in every way except the finish, although a lot of mission furniture WAS this color when it was new. The joints are all tight and all sections lock together easily and correctly. While only a 2 stack, it is a big 2 stack with each section able to take books as much as 13 1/2 inches tall. The over all measurement are 34 inches wide as most of these are, and with base and crown a total of 45 inches tall. It is a full 14 inches deep from knobs to back. I am listing this as local pick up only. BUT there are shipping/delivery options for you to chose from. RI delivery is $50 MA or CT. $100 If you are beyond those states. Antique Sectional Barrister's Bookcase 3 Shelf Oak Complete
This oak bookshelf is in good condition with some dings and scratches from years of use. The unit is five pieces consisting of base. Three shelves and top. At some point, the back panels were replaced, so I do not know the manufacturer. Outside dimensions are 50 1/2 inches high 34 1/4 inches wide. The top two shelves can handle books 10 inches deep and 11 inches high. The bottom unit can handle books 10 inches deep and 13 inches high. For Sale. Three stack sectional glass door barrister bookcase made by Lundstrum probably in the 1920s, 30s or 40s. They work perfectly. The glass sliding doors are unblemished. The top has faded marks from glasses. And the veneer was repaired in one corner but it still glows and the rest of the surfaces are in good to very good condition. The bottom shelf is missing it's glass other than that all is there. I kept my dvds on the bottom shelf and it made much easier to take them out if glass wasn't there. Later when moving the glass was broke. All other pieces are in tack and original to my knowledge. I say that because it's the old style wavy glass. So most likely original. Also most of the red GRM triangular logo located on the back is there. See pics for details. This logo represented the Furniture Manufacturer’s Association of Grand Rapids and was only used from 1899 to 1913 Gunn stacking bookcases were distinguished by the lack of external side bands. Offered here is a Globe Wernicke Sectional File top. The metal band measures 17 3/8"long. Overall the top measures 18" x 41 1/2" The top has been stained and then refinished with 7 coats of Orange and Blonde shellac, 2 coats applied with brush and 5 additional applied with pad in a french polishing technique. It has some minor flaws but overall is in excellent condition and is ready to use. Please ask any questions before bidding.
