Having just been restored by my very experienced restorer(50 years) it is consequently in excellent condition and is ready for immediate use in the home or for retailing in a prestigious showroom or fair. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE WALNUT DROP LEAF DINING TABLE
This is a really elegant. Sturdy, and functional antique walnut drop leaf table with turned legs and beveling along the edges. It is 61" long when both leaves are extended and 40" wide and 28 3/4" high. Quite a heavy piece. There are leg stabilizers(see the last photo) that have been added underneath each leaf to keep the legs from shifting or leaning, though the table is very sturdy. My family has owned this table for at least sixty years and it has seen many family dinners. Discussions, laughter, and sorrows. But I MUST downsize, sadly enough. The table is available for pick up by the buyer or a freight agent in stunning Graeagle, California, in the Sierra Nevada mountains about 60 miles from Reno, NV, and 60 miles from gorgeous Lake Tahoe, and about 2 1/2 hrs. drive from Sacramento, CA. Worth the trip just for the scenery!

When one melts silver one can lose as much as 5% of the weight in the smelting process and I can not be held responsible for weight lost after melting. I do not generally melt anything that is well made as it makes little sense to me. So any potential loss should be considered before purchasing my items. All my items are measured with a standard tape measure and are rounded off to the quarter inch. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. Simple, elegant details are found on this lovely, versatile, Victorian Table. The lovely solid walnut top has a very nice patina. The table was made with excellent craftsmanship and is very sturdy. It's 8 Legs are held together with 24 hand-carved mortise and tenon joints. An antique 19th century primitive drop leaf table in walnut with turned legs. It measures approximately 28-3/8" tall and 41-5/8" wide. With the leaves folded down. It is about 20.5" long. Each leaf adds about 15.5" so with both leaves open, you will have about a 51" long table. We believe it is American and we do not know the maker. There are plenty of dings and scratches found commonly on antique furniture, and this piece has a particularly distressed, dry old finish. Pegged construction. 18th C. American Sheraton Drop Leaf Table, c. 1880 Hawaii. Walnut
This smallish American Sheraton drop leaf table is a gem. As an Interior Designer who has owned and operated an Antique store. I have had this in my personal homes since the early 1980's, when I acquired it in Hawaii. It maintains its original oil-rubbed, satin finish, along with all the aging marks and patina appropriate for its age and use. It was most certainly used as a gentleman's card-table at some time, as it shows a cigar burn, as well as several beverage rings, all very old. The height of this table allows you to pull up modern chairs, and dine upon it, as it has no lowered apron to knock your knees on, as do most table of this era( when we were all so much smaller in size) making it very versatile. The oval leaves were obviously hand made. As they are not exactly(1/2" difference in the drop) the same, and both leaves, ... moreas well as the top are crafted from one plank of matched walnut. Some of the screws attaching the apron and top, all counter-sink, look as though they were changed at some point before I acquired it. We are downsizing, and I have no place for this beloved and vanishing part of American furnishings history. It is rare on several counts: Its oval leaves, along with being of Sheraton style; single plank and matched top and leaves; walnut material; and the original finish being intact. And lastly, it's size. It was fashioned as an un-fussy and practical drop leaf table, so it is smaller than the formal Sheraton tables usually associated with Mahogany. This table measures 48 1/2" wide x 21 1/2" deep with both leaves down. With both leaves extended with two flush to the sides when closed) gate legs, it measures 48 3/4' long(oval) by 37 1/2"wide x 28 1/2" high. $699.00 You may call/text 760 303 1899 with questions.
