I picked up a deep scratch on the old triangle in a"non-cycling" garage incident so i replaced the triangle. While it was apart i checked all the pivots and upgraded the shock bushings to the latest from fox. There are two cable rub spots on either side of the frame just above the front derailleur clamp. I have clear stickers over them now. There is also a scratch in just the top layer of paint on the driveside near the bottom bracket from a dropped chain. I've never been able to lean so hard on the front end in turns. And the Fox suspension works beautifully and the adjustments do exactly what they're supposed to. The Shadow rear derailleur is awesome as well, no chain slap and no need for a chain guide(I had a 2x10 setup with a bashguard but never removed the extra links, and it was still very quiet) That said, in the end I decided that a 29" bike is not for me. I'm coming off a coil-sprung Reign X, and am looking for something in that realm. As a 6'4" guy I wish they would make larger long-travel trail bikes like the Reign X(which doesn't come in an XL) I was hoping this bike would be it but in the end I really do ... moreneed at least 6" travel. All the joinings on the back are chisel pegged(see photos) The dovetailing looks to be hand done but I could be mistaken(see photos) I would estimate this piece is from early 1800s. 2011 Specialized Sworks Epic 29er niner santa cruz tallboy
Up for grabs is a Large Specialized SWorks epic 29er 2011 custom build. Built early last year and was ridden only mostly on hardpacked xc trails for training during the cold weather season in preparation for road biking season. I ride mostly road and has seen limited action. I bought the frame used in near perfect condition. Only blemish I saw was some tire rub on the inner chainstay and has installed clear 3m protective tape throughout the rear triangle before putting it together. The xx cranks also had some blemishes but has installed protective tape and crankend boot. Pedals not included in the sale.Wheelset is aluminum rovals not carbon and is set up as tubeless. The bike is fully stock and in great working condition. The wheels are stock and setup tubeless with Stans. The bike has low miles and has been kept in good condition. There are some scratches but not many please see all 48 pictures below. Front and rear shocks hold air and work. The rear lockout works. The front lockout works as well. There is a.3-5" give when it's locked out. Not sure if it was always that way, I don't use the lockouts much. Bike was ridden around the block a few time and down a gravel path for about 1 mile, Never been on a trail. This bike has the RAM Package on it. Below is the parts spec. One thing to note, the disc brake mount on the fork was striped out from the factory new. Rock Shock sent new lowers for the fork, but as you can see from the photo there is a slight color difference between the black legs of the fork and the black crown of the fork.
