UP FOR BID IS AN ANTIQUE DRESSER HALF DOLL PIN CUSHION DOLL. This doll measures 6 3/4" high X 5 1/2" at the bottom circle. Her hair is a soft brown mohair fixed very nice and she has a beautiful painted face. The bottom skirt area is tan with a bottom circle of covered cardboard and it is all in great condition with no damage. It seems to be stuffed with straw. I checked a doll book and it says she is bisque. There are similar ones also listed on e-bay that say bisque, I was told she is porcelain so I am unsure. When new she wore a colored silk dress trimmed with rosettes. This half doll is in great condition she just needs to be redressed. Please e-mail questions. THANK YOU. Antique Marble Top Dresser
This dresser has been in our family since at least the early 1900's. It is stamped Peter Canaris Furniture of Jersey City. NJ. The marble top measures 19" x 42" It is 33" high, not including the glove boxes. The two glove boxes measure 11" x 11" at the base and are 2.5" high. The fabric drawer liners were made by my grandmother and have some stains. The wood finish and the marble top are in good condition. We are downsizing and must part with some of family treasures.

Period brass tear drop pulls and pin& cove(knapp joint) ends on the drawers. All the drawers have their locks intact but no key. The front of the chest has beautiful incised carvings on the drawers and wood escutcheons. This chest is good quality, solid, sturdy and would make a great addition to any Victorian Decor. Antique Completely Restored Oak Hotel Washstand with Mirror Chest Dresser No Res
You are bidding on a hotel washstand that has been completely restored by a professional refinisher. It is in more or less perfect condition now. It is finished in a medium oak color with minwax provential stain. Finished with several coats of Sherwin Williams sand& sealer and two coats of Sherwin Williams top coat water proof lacquer. The entire piece of furniture has been sprayed and sealed good, including drawer bottoms, back and bottom of the piece. The solid brass has been cleaned and lightly polished with jewelers rough. The finish is hand-rubbed and it looks like it has just be waxed. The bevel mirror is original, has some distortation because of age. The towel bar including the bar itself is all original. The base comes apart from the towel bar and mirror for easy transport. As you can see the back looks just about as good as ... morethe front. Be sure to check out the paneled sides, carvings, hardware, it has everything. The price is right too so if you are in the market for an investment quality washstand, here it is. someone has been bugging me to list this twin bed set for 3 or 4 years so i consented to do so the other day when he called. doubtful he will buy them. But they are offered for sale at this time. this is what is known as a show stopper. i have been piddling with antiques for nearly 50 years and have never seen or owned a better twin bed set. here we have an r j horner twin bed set created by horner in his french style. they are of course mahogany with the finest grain you will ever find on a furniture piece of mahogany. the beds are thick, that is the head and foot board. they have wonderful form and beauty and are as you can see carved to death. the high boy as you also see matches the beds. the high boy is just the very best and will take your breath away. it is serpentine in the front as well as the sides. the beds have high dollar box ... moresprings and mattress. they do not go with the set, but i would sell them at a very discounted price. i have about 1000 each in the box springs and mattress including the comforter set. i would sell them for 300 each if someone buys the set and wants them. to my knowledge no one has ever slept on them. i have 8 bedrooms up stairs and really don't have many overnighters and i don't remember them ever being used. at any rate, should you buy the set, these can go with it for 600.00 on top of the sale price of the set. i have the box springs and mattress sitting on slats that attach to the bed rails, should you want the top of the mattress lower, the box spring and mattress can rest on the floor between the rails and lower the top about 10 inches. the mahogany grain on the beds and high boy is not to be surpassed, it is the very best. the condition of the set is mint, but i can't say mint because it is over 120 years old and must have a few little bumps and bruises here and there but none noticeable. it is museum quality however. the rails fit into the head and foot boards with dowels and are then bolted together within the rails and it is as solid as ever and does not wi

Up for auction is a RARE ANTIQUE OAK SALESMAN'S SAMPLE Miniature EASTLAKE MIRRORED BUREAU/ DRESSER Circa 1870-1885. Includes antique oak ornate Eastlake style mirrored dresser with candle holders and lift up compartment on bureau. Ornate applied molding at top of fancy scrolled mirror frame. Mirror can tilt. Grid lines on drawer fronts are typical of Eastlake style of the late 19th century. Regarding wood color, it is a medium oak color(looks a bit more red/orange in the photos) Any dark areas are shadows and white areas are reflections. As you can see this is a wonderful piece and could be used in many places in a home, whether as a miniature Salesman's Sample or a doll bureau for dolls. As with most antiques, it has it's minor flaws, nothing to totally distract from it's beauty, or usability, aged wood has such character. It does have some chips, dings, and marks, and one missing drawer pull. I chose to sell this item with the original pulls and it is your choice to replace them with 6 other pulls if you wish, or find a matching plain black knob. Seems to be original finish but I am not sure. Could be improved with restoration but again that is your choice. Drawers work fair, no sticking. Mirror is in very good condition and has wide bevel, might be new, and is missing the wooden backing. One peg missing underneath mirror outer frame but other three hold it in place fine. Mirror frame is attached to bureau with pegs that just slip into holes in the bureau ledge, and more brackets in back. All in all a fabulous miniature! Hard to find miniature Eastlake style. Has 4 smaller drawers at top, 2 large drawers at bottom, and a"secret" drawer at bottom base. Has Knapp joints on drawers(see close-up) Middle drawer sticks somewhat, but can probably be fixed. BEAUTIFUL Empire 5 Drawer Dresser or Chest with Burl Walnut Veneer
Very nice Empire 5-drawer dresser or chest with burl walnut veneer. This piece is solid. Clean and tight. Drawers are made of single-board, poplar(the grain in some boards is curly) with hand-planed bottoms,and handmade dovetail joints, Each drawer has a pair of turned, solid wood knobs. Top pair of drawers are large and deep with beautifully crafted ogee faces. Drawers do not stick at all and operate smoothly. Overall dimensions of piece are 43 inches wide by 21-3/8 inches deep by 44-3/4 inches tall. There is a charred spot on the top where a kerosene lamp tipped over burned the wood. There are a few small knicks on the edge of the veneer and has been repaired on one drawer face(see photos) Local pick up only.

Being offered for sale is this splendid Victorian Eastlake Walnut& Burl walnut Drop Center Marble top dresser circa 1880. This lovely dresser offers beautiful period carvings. The original brass& ebony teardrop drawer pulls, pin& cove dove-tailing on the drawers and the original beveled edge marble tops. This 19th century dresser measures 83 inches(6 ft 11 inches) in total height from the floor to the very top of the carved crest. A width of 37 inches, and a total depth of 17 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 135 lbs. The height from the floor to the top of the marble at the sides measures 31 1/2 inches, and height from the floor to the marble at the center measures 22 1/2 inches. We attribute it to one of four New York City cabinet making shops circa 1827. The glove boxes have their working locks and keys. Each original lock is hand mortised into the drawers they came on. We did shoot a full set but they don't look anything close to how truly nice this is. It has all its original chamfered drawer panels and frame work. It has had split pine panel professionally repaired about 25 years ago along with a new back leg block. This estate had its own handyman with a great shop. He loved and cared for a super collection of 40 pieces of New York City 1820-1830 Federal furniture over the last 40 Years. This dresser is 42" long. 21" wide(deep) 40 1/4 tall at the marble top work surface, 45 tall at the gloveboxes and 72 1/2" tall at the top of the mirrors incredible frame. The mirror has its original finely casted thumb screw pins that finely thread into inset brass channels on the mirror's frame. It has many features consistent with his craftsmanship and style.He was regarded as one of the finest cabinetmakers in the United States. It is quite remarkable considering the state of our country at the time regarding slavery.He was African American, also known as a free man of color by historians.To be such successful entrepreneur and distinguished cabinetmaker was very rare, considering all of the societal norms at the time. Mr. Day served some of the wealthiest clients including two governors of North Carolina.Word spread quickly about his amazing craftsmanship and quality. He was an artisan as well as a cabinetmaker.There is a bronze statue of Mr. Day that stands outside ... morethe entrance to the Museum of History. Located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Wonderful crotch/flame mahogany veneered drawer fronts.The cabinetmaker was an artist as well as a craftsman to select such stunning crotch mahogany and the skill to showcase. It is second to none. The rest of the chest features solid mahogany& solid cherry woods. The secondary woods are pine. This 7 drawer chest has fantastic grains throughout.The entire chest was hand made, no doubt by an early American craftsman. A rare feature is the style of the curved drawer front of the 2 upper drawers on the lower chest(photo) It features incredible precise hand cut dovetail joinery on all 4 corners of each drawer. The drawers also feature hand planed(chamfered) drawer bottoms, with no evidence of machine tooling.The drawers have solid brass inlaid keyhole escutcheons. antique burl walnut sidelock side lock dresser with gallery and ornate pulls wow
my aunt is 97 and wanted me to move this piece off her closed in back porchwhich is heated and cooled. it belonged to her grandmother. My great grandmother. i should keep it but i have no where to put it, my house is full of antiques and all my bedroom sets are complete sets with dresser, wash stand, wardrobe, bed etc. it has been well cared for and is in near mint condition. it has great burl walnut on the drawer fronts. the top and sides are solid walnut. it has never been refinished as far as i know. the drawer pulls are wonderful. some of them were a bit loose and any that needed firming up i have reglued. it has the original brass casters with double wheels on each caster and moves very nicely. it has a nice gallery on the top. aunt beth can not find the key for the sidelock, but thinks she can. i do not have a great deal of confidence ... morethat she will. she is a bit absent minded these days it seems. all of the drawers function well and besides a missing key there are no other issues to report other than there are a few light water rings on the top along with a few small scratches none of which take away from the beauty and usefulness of this sidelock. i am 5 ft. 11 inches tall and can not see any of these issues while looking at the piece. i have to get on a step stool to see them. again they are not an issue just merely add patina to the piece. the top is pictured and doubtful anything is obvious enough to show up in the photos. i intend to remove the lock and have a new key made. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyers expense. these sidelocks are hard to come by and demand a fairly high price. i am starting it at a figure 1500 less than one not as nice on ebay is listed for.

Description: This listing is for a Fine English Chippendale Two over Three Drawer Bachelors Chest. C. 1760-80. It is crafted of solid mahogany, using broad boards to construct the top and sides, each two board construction. An applied molded carved rim wraps around the perimeter of the top. Two smaller drawers rest over three wide graduated drawers, each with entirely original brasses and very early(possibly original) locks, being constructed of oak secondary woods hand dovetailed with a flat bottom beneath applied runners and nailed at the back with original rosehead nails. Each drawer features full length dustboards between each drawer to protect the contents of each drawer from dust and dirt as the drawer moves in and out ... moreof the case- it also supports each drawer, allowing for a smooth flowing motion in the case. The chest rests over four large bracket feet, each fully original with original blocking on all but one of the feet. The back is original as well, constructed of four pine boards lined with original hand forged rosehead nails. The secondary pine triangle supporting the back feet dovetails into the feet, making them permanent and also a rather unique detail of design. This is a remarkably well preserved chest. With originality in almost every facet of the case. Solid Cherry.....English Antique Furniture Eastlake dresser commode...circa 1810
This is a charming English made solid cherry antique dresser circa 1810. I acquired this from a couple who came to the United States from England. This piece is consistent with English cabinetmaking.This is made from solid cherry planks. The candle stands which flank the mirror are wonderful.The carvings and hand turned finials are beautiful. The hardware is all original except for the 2 small upper drawers which is new. All of the lower drawers have locks which work excellently with a new key. The hand cut dovetail joinery and hand chamfered drawer bottoms are beautiful. The drawer fronts are 1" thick solid cherry, there is no veneer on this entire piece.The secondary wood is poplar. The mirror glass is new.The mirror is on tilting mounts(it does not stay fixed when tilted. Just let in hang vertically) This piece has lots of battle ... morescars(nicks, dings etc) and some repairs earned over its lifetime such as dings in both side panels about the size of a"pea" The top(across the full width.left to right) has an age separation shrinkage crack which I repaired(you can still tell there was a crack despite the repair(see photo) some drawer bottoms have age shrinkage separations,there are some age shrinkage separations(cracks) in the side panels, worn edges, small stains in the top and character marks consistent with any fine antique.I refinished the top and the mirror frame, after repairing a missing piece of wood around the mirror thumb screw. The inlaid brass keyhole escutcheons are all in place. Most of the dresser has the original finish with a gorgeous patina as you can easily see in the mirror support photos etc. This wonderful piece will look beautiful wherever you decide to place it whether an entryway. Bedroom or living room.I restored all of the drawers and reinforced some internally with wood blocking.The drawers are strong, stable and they slide excellently.I t has such delicate graceful lines which sets it apart from the crowd. all the best. Be sure to add me to your! This ANTIQUE LATE 1800's VICTORIAN DRESSSER is made from solid walnut and has been refinished. It has three large drawers with a fancy skirt around the bottom on four legs with rollers. Which roll very well. On top of this are two glove boxes on each side separated by white marble. The back holds the elegant curved and bevelled mirror housed in a walnut curved frame with applied wood decoration and a special decoration extending several inches above the top of the mirror frame. There are four original leaf carved handles which are not on the piece. The buyer would have the choice of putting on handles of his choice or matching the original handles with two more. Antique Chippendale Dresser / Server
This is a wonderful antique Chippendale dresser or server from 1810-30. It is made of mahogany and mahogany veneers. The piece has four graduated drawers with banded framing and bracket feet. The brass hardware is very old. But probably not original to the piece. There were a few issues with veneer on the edges of the drawers and the drawer framed, which we had repaired by a professional period furniture restorer. There are also a few old scratches to the top which have been repaired. Otherwise, the piece is in excellent condition. As you can see from the pictures. it has a fantastic look. The two side doors have a beautiful inlaid wood design. The center door has a full length beveled mirror. The left& center cabinet doors open to reveal a pole& hooks for hanging clothes. The right door opens to built in shelves. It has the original locks. But I do not have the key. I believe any skeleton key would work. It was made by Gullaschsen of Newcastle on Tyne in England. Being offered for sale is this fantastic Victorian Walnut& Burl Walnut Marble Top Drop Center Dresser circa 1875. This beautiful 19th century dresser features an abundance of gorgeous carvings and burl walnut accents on the crest of the tall dressing mirror.The original period brass pulls, period dove-tailed ends on the drawers and all the casters intact on the base. This splendid dresser measures a total height from the floor to the top of the mirror of 92 inches(7 ft 8 inches) A total width of 51 1/2 inches, height from the floor to the top of the dresser sides measures 36 inches, and height from the floor to the marble at the center measures 23 inches, with a total depth at the base of 20 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 150 lbs. The marble at the center measures 22 inches wide by 14 1/2 inches deep. The vintage replacement ... moremirror measures 47 inches in height by 19 inches wide. This dresser has four smaller drawers(two on each side) over the two larger ones at the base. All the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have the key. The vintage replacement mirror is in wonderful condition and the original white inserted marble at the center of the dresser has no issues we can find. Please note the picture showing the back of the dresser shows that some small metal braces were placed on the back at some point in time to help secure the mirror portion to the sides.not an issue but wanted to point this out. This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 76 1/2 inches. The dresser width measures 46 inches, dresser depth measures 18 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 39 inches,height from the floor to the lower base top is 20 inches, and this piece weighs approximately 135 lbs. This wonderful Eastlake piece offers a fantastic beveled cheval mirror that pivots front to back. And is encased in a gorgeous carved maple frame with a lovely incised carved pediment at the top. The mirror rests in between two ... moreupright carved supports with the original fancy brass inserts that secures the mirror into the supports. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving.
