Mahogany turtle top table. this is quite a stunning piece, very well constructed, solid as a rock, no loose joints, does not wiggle or wobble, sits evenly on the floor, and has no issues to report. its condition is near mint. it has very nice grain in the wood and is solid mahogany, no veneers. it sits on 2 sets of legs that are wonderfully connected by an ornate stretcher. it has a special feature of 3 finials at each corner of the table. i cleaned the top, sorry about the bottom and legs, i didn't realize they were so dusty. pictures do a great job of showing up any dust. it is 39.5 inches wide, 26.5 inches deep, and 29.5 inches tall. it ay be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. thanks for looking and good luck.

It has a solid mahogany folding top with its original brass hinges and it sits on a mahogany veneered pedestal with casters. Beneath the top is a storage area. It stands 29-3/4” high with the top folded closed or 29” high with the top folded open. The top measures 36” x 36-1/2” opened or 18” x 36-1/2” stored folded. There were many different kinds of parlor tables made in the late 1800's. But this one stands out for its impressively large glass ball claw feet, and large turned legs. The table is made of mahogany wood, and measures 25" square, and 29" high. The Glass Feet measure approx. 4' from claw to claw. There is intricate scrolling carved into the wood. The turned legs are substantial in size. The table is in excellent overall condition. With no damage to the wood or to the metal and glass feet, as the photos will show. The top of the table has an occasional light scratch that does not go all the way through the finish. INCREDIBLE. OLD FRENCH TABLE! We are pleased to offer this lovely, somewhat rare, antique French Marquetry, Rosewood and Mahogany inlay table. This is a true demilune table with both the front and back profiles curved. The table top features a large, center inlay medallion of flowers and acanthus leaves with a smaller floral accent on each end. The top features a rosewood, with a gorgeous grain, inset in the mahogany. The top is skirted around the entire perimeter. The skirted section features detailed floral carvings on both the front and back profiled(the concave side as well as the convex side) The cabriole legs have carved acanthus accents at the mid sections as well as the feet. for auction is a very nice antique mahogany center or parlor table with twin pedestals. this is a large table being 44 inches wide. 30.25 inches deep, and 30 inches tall. it would make a nice focal point in a good size entry foyer. it can be used wherever you might choose and make a statement. the table has very large claw feet which appear to be in near perfect condition. the table is dirty and needs to cleaned, i just wiped a bit of dust off of it to get some pictures. it has a few specks of paint here and there from an expert painter that got more paint on the floor and furniture than he did on the wall. these specks will come off with a little lacquer thinner without issue, i just have not done that as they are not really noticeable. the table is very solid, sturdy, and well built. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's ... moreexpense. i can help arrange shipment should that be of interest to anyone. good luck.

for sale a very fine antique crotch mahogany drop leaf parlor table by thomas day. it is all original and in perfect condition as far as i know. thomas day was a black man and was one of the very finest cabinet makers of his day. his pieces where sought after by presidents and statesmen in the 1860-1880 time frame. this piece came out of the home of a leading antique dealer in oklahoma who sought only the best and rare pieces. i would trust his judgement of the origin of any antique. he told me it was a thomas day piece and i would say without a doubt that day is the maker. his pieces were rarely marked or signed. anyway. The construction of the table can not be improved upon. i tried to show by taking some pictures of the underneath of that table. it has acanthus carved feet that are superbly executed. it has a shaped skirt with rounded ... morecorners that have finials at each corner. the drop leaf supports have little pulls on them and the supports go above and beyond most drop leaf supports. it has stops for the leaf supports. anyway everything was done to make this a very fine and well perfected table. the crotch mahogany is the best that can be found. the table has four twist columns that are pegged into a wonderful stretcher which is very shapely. anyway a very nice table with not wiggles, wobbles, or loose parts and pieces. it is as solid and sturdy as the day it was made. just a super piece. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. good luck. by the way it is 24 inches deep, 27.75 inches wide with drop leafs down, 47.25 with drop leafs up, and 28 inches tall. ps. i sold a day game table about a year ago to a dealer for 1500 he sold it for 4000, i also sold him another piece i thought was day for 2000 and i heard he sold it for 4500. i am glad he did well. antique are just a hobby with me. i have so much stuff you can barely get thru my old 20 room house, i keep buying all the time but need to make room if possible. i only buy higher end pieces and prefer those that kinda one of a kin

wonderful antique merklen mahogany parlor table twisted construction ball & claw
for auction is a very nice near mint condition antique merklen brothers parlor table. some attribute these table to hunzinger but i am sure they are merklen. at any rate. I have owned several of these type tables over the years but most of them are larger tables, like 42-48 inches wide. this one is 36 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 29 inches tall. of course as you can see it has the turned legs and stretcher. i have never owned one with the additional shelf above the stretcher so i am going to say this is an unusual and uncommon feature. it has the four toed claw feet over wooden balls. of course it has the rope style molded edge all away around the top. a very nice and neat size table and i can see nothing to mention that is defective. all the joints are tight, it does wobble or wiggle, it is pretty much as it was when it came out of their ... morefactory 120 years ago. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyers expense. good luck.

The table has brass ball and claw feet. It is a two tier table with a lower storage shelf. The table is in good antique condition. The finish has had, at some point, a new coat of urethane and the finish is in very good condition. There are a couple of minor, cosmetic scratches that are not distracting nor severe. The table measures 29.25" tall. The top is 24" squared. The legs measure 26" wide. The lower shelf/tier is 12" square. Shipping via UPS with insurance provided for you. This Authentic Antique Victorian era Parlor Table is in immaculate condition. The handcrafted workmanship was artfully accomplished. The attention to detail is highly notable. It has no chips. Scratches, or nicks. All four ceramic rollers are original and in good condition. It measures 29 1/2" x 29 1/2" x 30" in height. It was found in a Victorian farmhouse in Ohio. It will be carefully packed and well protected for shipping.The top will be separated from the base. The top will require a standard screw driver to re-attach it to the base. But can be folded to save space. The inside compartment is 2.5" deep. When open it measures 30"x30" When folded it measures 15" x 30" The table is 29" high. The legs are lined with claw-shaped brass as can be seen on last picture. It is in very good condition for age. The joints are firm. There are no chips, cracks or splits. I bought this out of a friend's family home in Whately. Ma. I believe it was made in 1900's. The Hannah Furniture label on the underside appears to be from that time. It is in beautiful condition. It had a doily on it. It has not been refinished. All original. Kept prestine. GREAT CONDITION! Measures: 29.25"inches tall. Top is 24" by 24" bottom cross pedastal is the same 24"x 24" Turned legs. Antique Victorian Marble Mahogany Top Parlor Table Rose Carvings
Offered for your consideration is a beautiful antique Victorian Marble Top table. The table measures approx. 23 inches in height. Approx. 22 inches in width and approx 17.5 inches in depth. The table is in excellent antique condition. It has a beautiful Italian white marble top with gray veining and a 1/2 inch beveled edge. The base of the tables are made of solid mahogany wood with a rich red-tone finish. They have carved flowers on the top portion near the marble top. The base is a pedestal with a finial type piece at the bottom in the middle of the base. The marble is marked made in Italy and the mahogany is marked Mahogany Association. Table has a few unnoticeable minor scratches/scuffs- please see pictures. This table is listed as Pick Up Only. I will be glad to help prepare the table for pick up by the shipper of your choice.
