I also listed it as a lamp, gingerbread and Parlor table) For the purpose of this listing, I will use the description, occasional' for this table. I really want to keep it but I just don't have a spot for it and this table deserves to be put in a loving space. I purchased it today actually. I bought it from a sweet older couple from New York who now live in Palm Harbor, FL. The husband explained that it was his Grandmother's first then his mother had it. He said his Grandmother got it around the time she was married and he couldn't remember if it was 1897 or 1898. The condition is superior. It has been well cared for for 115 years by the same family. The oak grain is beautiful and the only flaws are: on the bottom of one of the round feet. Someone cut off a section of the very bottom so that it would fit closely next to something.however, it still is level because they cut off only a section, not the entire tip(please see the last pic) The other flaw is that there is a hair line split on the top where the wood has a miniscule separation. I had to inspect closely to find this. This table requires no restoration whatsoever. Has beautiful detail in the grain. Measurements are as follows: Oval Top is 32.75" long x 18" wide 27" tall from floor to top middle decorative shelf is 7.25" wide x 16" long with scrolling lower 2 round shelves are 10.5" in diameter. Of course it would save you money to pick up this table locally if you can because I will need to ship UPS and the box will be huge. Thank you so much for shopping with me. Pair of Chinese Tables imported for the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1890 from China. Carved Dragons form the legs. A motif historically signifying the emperor. Black lacquer I beleive over teak. Top of coffee table needs to be re-liquored, but I choose to leave as original finish. Re-lacquer and glass top would help preserve it. Coffee table has 4 drawers, each with a dragons face that form the drawer pulls. I've owned these peices for more than 30 years. I purchased them outside Chicago. Would assist in arranging packing and delivery to your home, if you make arranges. This ornate gold tone metal stand measures 32 inches tall. The top is 14 1/2 inches in diameter and the leg span is 18 1/2 inches. It is stamped"B& H 1195 or the bottom and can be used as a plant stand or lamp table. The stand features four cherubs on the edge of the table top. Please note that there is a small 2 1/2 inch long piece broken off the edge.it is one of the larger leaf like designs. Round Walnut Victorian Marble Top Lamp Center Table circa 1860 Measurements: 30 inches tall 29 1/2 in diameter 30 lbs Round Victorian table are hard to find~I guess more were made oval. This one has a shaped apron with drop finials. Four turned post stretch from under the table down to the scroll feet and original brass casters. In the center rest an open carved urn with a beaded edge. The table does have its original finish giving it a dark patina. This is a solid. Sturdy table ready to use. The marble is in good condition but does show some staining and the tip of one of the finials is missing. Please view and enlarge all photos to get a good look.
