The base and marble are a unique shape due to the ornately carved columns on each corner of the base. The marble is cut to project out over the top of the columns. The marble has a deep double bull nose edge all the way around giving the affect of 2 pieces of marble. The base has 3 dovetail-jointed drawers with metal pulls. There is a small surface split in the wood where the crown meets the mirrors frame otherwise this piece is in excellent condition. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. The mirror measures 88 7/8 inches tall, 46 1/8 inches side to side and 5 inches front to back. It weighs 74 pounds. The marble measures 11/16 inch tall, 50 3/8 inches side to side and 21 ¼ inches front to back. The marble weighs 62 pounds. The cheval mirror at the center measures(actual mirror portion) 54 3/4 inches in height by 17 1/4 inches wide. Each of the folding side mirrors measures 51 1/4 inches high by 9 inches wide. The carved details on this mirror are geometric in design reflecting more of a adobe southwest style motif. The mirror measures a total height to the top of the crest of 49-1/2” inches tall by 36” inches wide. And weighs between 20-25 lbs. The mirrored inside dimensions are approximately: 29” inches tall by 17” inches wide This would make a wonderful statement in a foyer. Bedroom or great room over a fireplace mantel in a southwest décor style, log cabin or Victorian themed home. There have been restoration modifications to the mirror as follows: There was no original mirror when I purchased it. Just the ... moreframe and it’s been replaced by a modern glass mirror. There was only one unattached shelf bracket, but someone can have a wood craftsman duplicate another one to match booth sides if they so choose. The mirrored frame piece(I believe) was originally made to swivel for a large dresser, but solid brackets are now attached to the back to make this piece stationary since there was also no original hardware that came with it. The wood was faded from years of neglect in a bright storeroom as seen by the bracket shelf, but the mirror frame has been refinished with a clear natural stain to bring out the original color of the walnut wood. The photos show more of a reddish tint to the color, but it’s really a warm medium brown tone. It was very difficult to photograph in my office. Overall wood condition is very good, no splits, cracks, chunks missing, mold or rot. Although our price is reflective of these modifications. There is still value in owning this beautiful piece of history for generations to come. Antique Victorian style wooden swivel mirror for a tabletop vanity or dresser. Mirror may have also been used for shaving. The frame and base are wood. I am not sure what type of wood it is. But if I had to guess I would say Mahogany, but please determine for yourself. Approximate measurements are 21 1/2" tall, 18 1/2" wide at the base and 6 1/2" deep(at the base) The mirror appears to be original and has that antique mirror patina with small black specking throughout. This is the perfect mirror if you are looking for something that shows its age, character and patina. Condition of the glass is good and it has a beveled edge all the way around(set in about 1" there is some chipping of the glass up underneath the top of the wood frame, difficult to see unless you really looking(please see last photo) Condition of the wood ... moreis good with some wear, patina and cracking to the finish in spots. This piece an amazing antique look that you can only get with with age and time. Here it is: Something that I’ve never seen in more than 40 years in the antiques business. It’s a triple beveled glass mirror walnut dressing ... moremirror that dates from around the 1890s era. It is really. Really unique. It came from England, and they’ve had some really nice unusual pieces made over the years. This one has a swivel mirror that sits down inside two brackets in the center, and on the left and right sides are what I call hatbox doors, but they are carved compartments with open fretwork on the sides, clamshell carving in the back, a place to put a lamp on the top, and plenty of storage. Then, on the base, there are four handcut raised panel burl walnut dovetail drawers in a drop-center wooden frame, with a big, bold applied bracket base. Someone has put really big roller tracks inside so it rolls really easily, and I’m guessing this was used in a store at one point. On the top is the most unusual part of the piece. On the Victorian metal brackets on both ends, there are dressing mirrors of beveled glass that will flip around completely so it’s closed up. Or, you can flip them around, stand in front, and get a side view, front view or back view of yourself all at once, for that triple mirror effect. Antique Federal dressing/shaving mirror. It stands 30" tall. 22" across, and 10" wide. The shield shaped mirror alone is 23" x 14 1/2" It has line inlay, three feathers on each corner, and a conch shell in the center. There are three drawers. Two faux ivory discs, one on each side of the mirror. There is an old repair to a piece of inlay by the keyhole. The left side with the three feathers inlay has some damage. See pictures. Antique Pine Dressing Table with Framed 3 Sided Mirror
This is a beautiful pine dressing table. It has carved detail around the border of the mirror and on the doors of the table. The mirror comes off if desired. The sides of the mirror are movable. Each side of the dressing table has a cabinet with a shelf and in the middle there is a drawer. Everything is original. It has a few scratches and stains as you can see but nothing major at all. Some of the pieces of wood are separating a very little bit as old pieces will do but again nothing major at all. It's absolutely beautiful and I've enjoyed it for many years. Mid 19th c. Chippendale Style Gentlemen's Dressing Mirror w/Drawer, No Reserve
Found in New England and up for sale without reserve is a beautiful mid 19th century Gentlemen's Shaving Mirror with one drawer. From the original mirror glass. Chippendale style feet, decorative satin wood inlaid stringing and hardware, it is one of the best I've found to date. The light satin wood stringing goes around the drawer opening, the outer edge of the box front and inside the mirror frame. The drawer bottom and the bottom of the box are hand-planed and the dovetails are narrow and very tight. It is all original and in excellent condition for its age, with a minimum of flaws. There are some small and tight age shrinkage cracks. The back left foot has an old chip out of it, and the satin wood string is missing from the left front side of the box. Federal Dressing Mirror 1820 Vermont Birdseye Maple Sandwich Knobs
Fantastic Federal Dressing Mirror circa 1820. Dramatic Birdseye Maple case highlighted with Mahogany highlights. Finely turned cherry posts, all set off by original clambroth knobs. I see no evidence this piece has been refinished, though a couple nicks to the veneer on the mirror have been attended to. The brass mirror swivels show hand file marks, the case is dovetailed, leather washers were used on the drawer knobs, the chamfered mirror back is original, the mirror is probably an old replacement. The secondary wood is poplar. Old label on the back possibly from a spool of thread. Measures 16" wide, 6.5" deep, and 20" to the top of the mirror post. Purchased years ago on the NY/VT border. I purchased this piece at Antique Emporium in Modesto. California July 2003. I simply fell in love with it. The receipt I have states it is a"tiger maple dressing table with Cheval Mirror, circa 1895. I have purchased many items from these folks through the years for my personal enjoyment. I am not an expert in antiques. I do know what I like and this is a gorgeous wood very unusual to me, unlike the other pieces I have collected. I sell it now only due to a move. It is carved. This beauty stands a whopping 33" tall. Is 28" wide, and 11.5 deep. She has lots of chips and a patch job. Please view pictures carefully. I have tried to take pictures of all of it so you can see them. I think the top it is mahogany veneer. The dolphins are 1" thick, 6.5" wide, and 21" tall. The side drawers are 6.25 wide; middle drawer 9.5. From bottom to top of shelf is 6" Mirror[which has been replaced] is 16.25 wide and 21 3/8 tall[this is sight for mirror, not including the frame] When I bought it years ago I made sure the key worked and opened it and locked it several times before buying it. A very fine antique. Circa 1840, Empire solid mahogany and flame mahogany veneers dressing mirror with three concave drawers. The mirror frame will swivel on brass pins, the glass original. The top surface has a rectangular patch that is original to the surface. Original finish unworn, mahogany solids without chips or cracks, tiny veneer chip to front right. Interior left drawer impress stamped: H. FELGATE. Mirror is without chips or cracks, no backing spots or cloudiness. The items measures 23-1/4" tall by 21" wide by 10-1/4" deep, the mirror frame 15-1/4" tall by 17-1/4" wide.

Here is an absolutely gorgeous antique heavy carved French walnut dressing table with chest of drawers. Five beveled mirrors including two side dressing mirrors which are adjustable, beautiful heavy carved finials above the three larger mirrors which clearly distinguish it as French and mirror back candle stands 16 1/2 inches above the lovely top surface on the dresser. The drawers on this lovely dressing table are dovetailed and have gorgeous burl walnut veneer decorative fronts and fabulous original metal drawer pulls. Below are two top drawers. Each 16 1/2 inches wide by 15 1/4 inches front to back by 4 inches deep. Below these two top side by side drawers are two large drawers, each 35 inches wide by 15 1/2 inches front to back and 6 and 6 1/2 inches deep respectively, in descending order. The large center mirror with the carved frame around it is 39 3/4 inches tall by 18 1/2 inches wide with the beveled mirror within measuring 27 3/4 inches by 15 1/2 inches at it's widest points. The two hanging side mirrors and their carved frames each measure 36 inches tall and 12 1/4 inch wide with their beveled mirrors measuring 29 3/4 tall 9 1/2 inches wide at their widest points. Victorian Eastlake Marble Top 1880 Antique Dressing Table& Mirror. A late Victorian or Eastlake dressing table and mirror dates from about 1880. And would be a lovely foyer mirror as well. Tennessee Red" marble tops have been polished and sealed to resist stains. The finish is excellent on solid walnut. With delicate incised hand carving. Brasses are original on this American made antique. There is a scratch on the original swivel beveled mirror. Drawers have round"pin and cove" dovetail joints. Characteristic of the period. Here is a very nice antique Sheraton dressing mirror. It is marked on inside bottom of drawer. I can make out: FROM CW BOTELER STORE 7th Street WASHINGTON D.C. I haven't been able to make out the words above STORE. It is in very good antique condition. Looks to me to be all original except it has been refinished at some point in time. Nice inlay banding around the mirror and around the front of case. This measures 14-1/8" long by 6-1/2" deep by 16-1/4" high to very top. Mirror part measures 12" x 9-3/4. Feel free to ask any questions. I can ship it standard mail if buyer prefers that over priority mail for probably a lesser cost. But not guaranteed.

A very finely made antique. Circa 1800, French Empire mahogany veneers and solid mahogany dressing mirror in classical architectural form. Two pillars with ormolu mounts to the plinths and capitols support the pediment with lily of the valley wreath ornament. The ogee frame with holds the swivel original glass mirror with original back silvering. The mirror frame with glass is removable for shipment. case has a dovetailed drawer with ormolu wreath and knob. The drawer interior is quartersawn oak. The case secondary wood is maple. Measures 37-1/2" tall by 27-3/4" wide by 14-1/4" deep. Excellent condition: original finish without wear, boards without cracks or chips. 5-1/2" horizontal tight crack to veneer on top of case, and faint cracks to veneer on front very right top corner. Tiny veneer chips to back bottom edge right ... moreside. Ormolu finish bright without dulling or spots. Mirror without damage.
