Wonderful 18th century or early 19th century card or game table in as found condition. Wonderful inlay unfortunately the flip top is missing. I did ask at the estate sale. Asked hell, I begged to see if the other piece was available, to no avail. So it is being sold as is and hopefully one of you ebayers has the knowledge and resources to restore this table to its original glory! You can see in the photos that the feet are dovetailed into the base and that it has hand turned screw threds that screws into the carved platform that the top sits on. The table is 21 inches wide, 16 inches deep and approximately 30 inches tall. Rosewood veneer with satin wood inlay. Wonderful cribbage score keeping inlay. Great interior! Antique Mahogany Extension/Card Table w/String & Bell Flower Inlay 3 Extra Leafs
We are pleased to offer to the market this beautiful antique extension table with three additional leafs. This Georgian style table dates to the early 1900's and is in great condition for the age. The front and top side edge of the table has a banded string inlay design with ebony diamonds on satinwood. There is a small chip on the banding on one side. The front center has an inlaid urn& floral design and there are inlaid bell flowers running partially down the front legs as well. When closed. The table measures 22.25" wide at the center and it is 42" long. With the top flipped open it is 44.5" in. wide x 42" long. The back section of the table slides out and the leaf flips over. There are also three 14" leafs that can be added to open this up to a full 86.5" There are also legs that drop down to stabilize ... moreit. All 4 legs fold in/out together w/ the turn of a lever. Legs lock into place. Legs have exquisite curvature. While the table is completely metal. The legs are wood wrapped on 3 sides w/ metal. This is a SOLID STURDY PIECE weighing 19# There is no maker's name on it. Castings are all marked PAT'S PEND. My husband spent MANY meticulous hours working on restoring this table(to MY satisfaction: This included HOURS of tediously removing 3 coats of OLD PAINT. I hand selected(INSISTED UPON) the heavy duty vinyl fabric in the colour"WHISPER MERLOT" Underneath the vinyl covering batting/interfacing was placed to create a more comfortable surface. The table shows off the gorgeous burl wood designs in the wooden top. The base is solid and beautiful. A beautiful inlaid solid mahogany card or game table in the Baltimore serpentine style. The marquetry is elaborately executed with sand shaded shells. Bellflowers, twist, and string inlay. I believe this to be a centennial piece made in the nineteenth century. It is in remarkably good condition. With highly figured grain showing some natural color variation of the top. The finish is original with only the closed top surface enhanced. With a small surface sliver touch up 3/8 inch back from the top center front. It can only be detected on very close inspection. Antique Mid-Victorian 1860 Burr-Walnut Felt Top Swivel Card Table
This Mid- Victorian Burr Walnut fold over. Swivel card table. Circa 1860, was recently rescued. T he top with a molded edge is quarter veneered and has unusual cross-banding of boxwood. Ebony and amboyna. The top opens and swivels around to double the size. The interior has the original green baize surface. The top also rotates to show an opening beneath for storing cards. The table stands on four turned and fluted legs which sit atop of four cabriole legs on brass and porcelain castors. Which are very stylish and have a mixture of full carving and scratch carving. In the center is a turned section with a large carved finial. The table is freestanding and still has good color. The bottom half is in pretty good condition, but the top half needs the hands of a skilled craftsman. All parts are original, down to the screws. LOCAL PICK UP ONLY IN NYC* This is very old. it's not a reproduction. It's NEARLY in great condition. A previous owner must have kept houseplants on it. Which damaged the top inlay. I'll leave it up to you to figure out how to address it. Maybe a tray? There's no screws or nails. It's all put together with fitted pieces, this is a mark of old furniture. I don't know if it's european or american made. Beautiful scroll and detail work. 29 inches high x 25 inches wide on top.

It is probably 1850s in age. It is original finish and very clean. It measures 28 inches in height. The top is 37 inche sin length and 18 inches deep, when open is is 37 inches wide and 36 inches deep. There is no makers name on it but is probably New York made. It is a good looking antique American card table. The top will unscrew from the base so we can ship the pieces out seperately thru fedex ground. Antique Burl Mahogany Flip Top Game / Card Table
For sale is a beautiful antique burl mahogany flip top game/card table. It measures 30 1/4"H x 35 1/4"L x 19"D when closed. And 29 1/4"H x 35 1/4" x 38 1/2" when opened. Condition: Structurally sound. The side pieces on the table top were crudely reattached at one point. The veneer when closed has one small chip in the back right corner. One slot screw is missing on the hinge. The casters have some rust but all are fully functional. The top has two splinters on each side where they meet by the hinges. Lastly. Fine Antique Folding Card or Dining Table in Solid Maple on Casters - Excellent
Being offered from the longtime owner's heir is this exceptionally fine folding table on a pedestal with casters. This style was used for playing cards or games. As the folded state would enclose a compartment for holding board games and cards. But of course they were also used for dining, especially on special occasions when additional tables were needed, and the compartment would hold tablecloths, napkins and candles. We do not know the exact age it was made. But the owner had it at least back to the 1930s, whether new or used, we do not know. The style and craftsmanship details suggest 1800s.
