These two adorable guys were my garden guardians for many years. But after moving I don't have a garden for them to look after anymore& I hope to find them a loving new home. I'm listing them as a set. But they've got a funny little story behind how they got together. Both of these little dudes first came to me through my favorite seller right here on eBay. I wasn't really looking for anything for my garden at the time, but my favorite seller has a diabolical talent for seducing you with things you never ever dreamed existed, and suddenly find that you just have to have. She"got me" when she put up just one of these up for auction. I loved him so much I even named him before I won the bidding(it was vintage-globe-for-a-belly and he's named Rum Tum Tinkery) Having no idea that Rum Tum was secretly missing ... morea companion. Imagine my surprise when about two months later my dear seller lists another, a second member of what is quite clearly a family. I emailed her right away, joking how she could have kept such a secret? She replied by saying that she hadn't known it herself! She'd found the second guy on a completely separate buying trip, hundreds of miles from where she pick up the first one. Naturally I felt obligated to re-unite them. The skinnier one became Tinkery Toots and together they are The Tinkers; They must have been spawned from the same imagination. I have this idea in my head that somewhere out in an isolated plot of land far from civilization. There's an artist laboring over his little army of garden soldiers, a sort of Gepetto tinkering in a dimly lit shed among heaps of old doll bits and rusty tin containers. Outside his shed there's a wild expanse of garden, populated everywhere with little tin doll-headed guardians that march the perimeter when no one is looking. Anyway. Vintage Cast Iron Lawn Sprinkler Craftsman Rotating w/Adj Nozzles 1952 No Rust
You are bidding on a Vintage Cast Iron Lawn Sprinkler Craftsman Rotating w/Adjustable Nozzles 1952 No Rust Excellent. This working sprinkler has survived quite well for being over 60 years old with no damage including no cracks. Chips, dents, bends or rust and only a small amount of paint loss. The date on the bottom is stamped 1949 though I just found a patent number on the spindle and the number equates to 1952, you be the judge. The cast iron base is 9" in diameter and the total height of this sprinkler is 6 1/4" it weighs 5 lbs and 12 ounces. Each nozzle can be set between 10 and 50 feet. There is also a set of spray holes on the horizontal arm to water the immediate surface around the sprinkler. This is a well constructed lawn sprinkler. The parts which are not cast iron. They are solid brass which are chrome plated. This lawn ... moresprinkler gives you many options as far as the amount of surface area it can cover. You are buying this sprinkler as found. Antique Victorian Garden sink M and VM company 16" x 24"x approximately 6" deep. This was removed from very old Victorian style farmhouse in Pennsylvania it was in what they considered the washhouse these are very hard to find and very desirable. This has a spot in the one corner that has been repaired. This can be seen in several of the photos. This is a cast but does not appear to be heavy enough to be iron. This includes a stub of pipe that will bolt with ball socket directly to bottom of sink. This also has the strainer in bottom. Large Early 1900s Brush McCoy Jardiniere in Blended Glazes and Colors

This large Early 1900's Brush McCoy Jardiniere or Planter in blended glazes and colors joins majolica type jardinieres and pedestals exemplifying early Artware for the home and garden. George Brush was a highly respected Zanesville. Ohio potter and businessman and had worked for the McCoy Company, becoming their General Manager in 1909. In 1911, he founded the Brush Mc Coy Pottery Company in Zanesville, which then became the Brush Pottery Company in 1922. This jardiniere blends colors from greens to gold to wine under a high glaze. It probably had a matching pedestal originally. It is unmarked. As were most of the early Artware pieces. The scalloped 10 1/2 inch rim is topped with a ribbon band which flows from each scallop down to mingle with the fleur de liz style leaves on the lower design. ... moreThe base is 6 inches in diameter and the jardiniere stands 9 inches tall. Very nice vintage primitive iron planter or pot holder. It is 14" long. 14" wide and protrudes from the wall 8" The circular rings will hold a 2" pot. There are 2 recessed holes on the back for hanging. It has the original aged patina but could be painted if desired. This is from a local estate sale of a long time collector.
