Authentic Antique Heavily Carved Wood Shutter Figural Horses and Tiger Carvings
Authentic Antique Chinese wooden house shutter. Deeply carved and pierce carved with a tiger and horses. 37" by 12" The tiger panel has warped and does not fit tight in the grooves. It also has writing on the back that I can't decipher.see photos) These were marketed by Horchow's Catalog in the late 90's and they provided a Certificate of Antiquity issued by HONG KONG ART CRAFT MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION. Dated 1997. They sold them for around $1100. each back then. This is one of two that I have listed.

Available here is an antique wall panel made of an exotic cut of mahogany or possibly rosewood. This is SOLID wood. Not veneer! This kind of thing is just not available anymore. This listing is for one panel. Although we have five of these available and would welcome making a deal for all. We also have nine accent panels that are approximately 12" x 66" if a buyer is interested in them all. These would be perfect wall panels for a library. Study or bar. The size is about 28" by 66" from molding to molding. That does not include the support pieces which are outside of the molding. I don't believe the framing wood to be mahogany/rosewood. However the wood within the molding is quite exotic. The panel can stand up as pictured. Or be laid on its side to cover more area on a wall. A nice early Stencil Kit with 2 inch brass letters. And 2 1/4 inch numbers. The tin box measures 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches square, 1 inch deep, and has soldered corners and a wooden knob on the lid. The stencil brush has a wooden handle and stiff bristles. The tin ink dip tray has two compartments and lump ink. There are no manufacturer marks on any of the pieces. The number set is not complete. Antique Stair Carriages This is a group of antique circa 1880 Victorian stair carriages. These have a long story to them. But I will make it short. These came from a Victorian home that was demolished in Falls Church. Va. in the 1970's. My parents have had them stored and they intended to use them in their house. But new ones were used instead. There are 7 carriages total. They are a sturdy wood. I am not sure what kind of wood it is. Perhaps oak. These measure anywhere from 50" long to 63" long and are all about 11" wide. They are all 2" thick. You can use them for a staircase. Or fit them together and make a unique table or bench or anything really. Shelves are another unique option. For sale an antique Victorian large wall pocket newspaper rack fold out with heraldic blazon style decoration. I believe this is walnut wood. The burl of the pocket fold I believe is walnut. Beautifully carved with cote of arms motif. The frame has a 10" flying dragon on each upper side and leaves all over the frame, and one plain leaf in the center in case you'd like to personalize. The burl front pocket has"L" engraved. The rack measures about 27" x 18" The wood sticks out from the wall about 3" before opening the rack. The pocket expands up to 6.5" Condition: The bottom right corner is about 8" chipped and glued as shown in last two pics. The front burl wall pocket under"L" has a white spot as shown in pic 7. It depicts the Roman Goddess Fortuna. The goddess of fortune and personification of luck. This carving once mounted on a wall or the top of a column is actually an architectural fragment. On the back you can see a small hand wrought iron hook, which kept the carving leaning forward. The paint you see is the original first paint and this carving has all of the natural wear to the high points you would expect. In the close-up photographs of the leg attached to the round orb, you can see an old smooth repair. There is a second old repair on the hand holding the blue cloth and a ding to the lady’s nose. The rest of this 18 th century carving is perfect and original. Most likely carved in Europe. This early sculpture is listed without any reserve. Antique Wood Gesso Furniture/Frame Mold 19th C For your consideration is this beautiful wooden Antique Gesso Mold dating to the 19thc. It resembles a Fleur de lis pattern. Which is impressed into the wood. I believe the wood is made of walnut, but am not certain. It is a solid piece and has a good weight to it. It is numbered on top and sides#2672. These molds were used for either furniture and/or decorative frames. As noted above, there is a chip to the lower left corner and scuffing to upper right corner. Overall normal ware due to aging. RARE ANTIQUE WOOD ARCHITECTURAL GESSO MOLD CASTING MOLDING TRIM
I don't know allot about this wood mold. I know that it was used in a family furnature builing factory that closed many years ago in Chicago IL. With my lack of knowledge. You could be getting a very good deal. This piece has a very fine carving on it. It is 19.5" long, 2" wide and 3.5" across. The carvings measure 12X1" It weighs about 2 lb 10.5 oz. Huge Victorian Blacksmiths Forge bellows, Industrial, Steampunk, Elm Wood, Prop
These would look stunning in an industrial interior. Perhaps convert to a coffee table or just create a great talking point. Also ideal as a prop for a film set or how about a fantastic steampunk project? They definately have a Jules Verne look about them! Removed from a blacksmiths shop these antique bellows are in remarkable condition for an item of this nature and age. Very rare to find one of these where the leather isn't in tatters. There are one or two small holes and some rubbing but really very good considering(more detailed photos to come) The woodwork. Which I'm fairly sure is elm is very sound and secure, a few isolated worm holes but probably long dead and I've treated it anyway for good measure. The wood has been scraped and sanded to reveal a nice grain and then finished with high quality Osmo oil. Most of the studs, ... morewhich I think could be made of lead? are in place and secure. There is as you can see some heat damage to the nozzle tip but all the metal surrounding is rock solid. It'd be fairly straight forward to weld a new cone tip on if you so wished. They do actually work as intended. at least in the fact they project a good volume of air when squeezed. I was told they where originally suspended from the ceiling and operated by a long pull down lever. Which is included(photo later) Haven't got the exact sizes to hand at the moment but will update later. I'd say approx 6ft+ overall length. Obviously very heavy and will take 2-3 people to lift. 16th C carved old antique oak wood Disraeli panel, stained replica carving
A Sara Kirkby product. Made in England(not available in the High Street) This lovely panel was cast from an early carved oak piece. Featuring a Spanish sailor, supposedly from panelling in Disraeli's study. Made by Oakleaf using a special resin-based material, it looks, sounds and feels like the original, in a dark medieval style oak stain finish. Measuring approx 46 x 44 x 1.5cms(18x17x3/4" and probably originally from a piece of furniture, it comes with a hanger, ready to fix to the wall. We have other styles of carved panels. VERY RARE! We are pleased to offer this unique and exceptional pair of Mid Century(1960s- 1980s) Hollywood Regency reclaimed decorative pieces! The pair once served as the bed posts of a footboard on a Mid Century bed. The pair features large brass lion heads with nice detailing. The bodies are fluted wood columns that taper very slightly toward the bottom. The raised bases are brass. There are screw holes up and inside the bases. I cannot find any information on the bed nor is the manufacturer's mark present. However, these are quite special and obviously high end. They may be custom pieces.not sure. They are quite heavy, weighing 10 pounds each. The backs of the bodies have the attachment housing still intact so the pair could be used as a bed piece. They are quite gorgeous as floor finials, mantle pieces and interior accents. This ... moreis a stunning pair with great detail and interest. They are in very good condition with some age spots on the brass and some very minor scuffing to the finish. Neither of these are very noticeable and certainly do not distract from this gorgeous pair. TRULY ONE OF A KIND! These are large pieces. Each column measures 28.25" tall. Here are 4 Old Decorative Distressed Architectural Round Wood pieces for Repurpose Salvaged from an antique Buffet. I am not sure what kind of wood this is. The Size is Approximately 8 1/2" Tall Excluding the wood pegs on end. Round Part is about 5 1/4" straight Across each one and the small square part is about 2 1/2" on each side. They are Distressed as they have cracks and chips out of them Some of the Dowel pegs on the ends are broken and they need polishing but all around good for repurposing.
