It is a nice dresser with a large size vanity mirror and is in fair to good ... morecondition. There are a good amount of light surface scratches to the finish, as well as water rings and some staining on the finish. The mirror is removable, but it is a unique attachment that needs to be un-attached from the inside. The dresser features 5 drawers, all with circle drop pulls, and dovetail joints. The mirror has lovely lightly carved details and the dresser has fluted legs on the front. I am unsure of its age of the dresser, but it bears the label inside one of the top drawers of Landstrom Furniture Corporation, Rockford Illinois. I am unsure of the type of wood that the dresser is made from, but I would guess mahogany.

RARE - Antique English Yew Wood Dresser, c. 1810-30
This is a beautiful antique English dresser from 1810-30. It is made of walnut with a Yew Wood veneer on the front. Yew wood was usually only used in smaller veneered pieces or as accents to other veneers. The piece has two smaller drawers over three large drawers. It has a Biedermeier look to it. But the owner brought it in from England some years ago.you decide. The brass hardware is very old, but probably not original to the piece. The insides of the drawers are painted with silver radiator paint to protect against worms. It is in excellent condition. The pictures show one piece of the veneer in the top right corner, which has since been professionally reattached. It measures 36" wide, 17 1/2" deep(19" deep to handles) and 38" tall. Antique Victorian Drop Center Marble Top Dresser w/ Pivot Mirror
A very cute little dresser brought up from Georgia to the Asheville NC area 20 years ago. Judging from the style and the candle shelves on either side. Late 19th Century. Features the original marble. Clean and unbroken, the original antique mirror, all of the original drawer pulls of figured brass, and the original casters. Original finish- has not been stripped. Stands about 80 inches high and 16 inches deep- it is a smallish piece and stands nice and shallow out from the wall- perfect for a small guest room or an accent to a large room. I'm not certain. But the wood is probably walnut. The five drawers all work just fine and have unusual'round peg dovetailing' construction(shown above in a detail shot) The hardware is ALL original EXCEPT that the bolts that originally held the pivoting mirror have been replaced by heavy screws. ... moreWhich doesn't affect the look of it too much(and they could be fairly inexpensively restored with something vintage) The mirror section is removable to facilitate moving. A very handsome piece. With minimal scratches and wear. The hand-carved details are a bit on the rustic side and not terribly fussy or'polished' workmanship. Almost folk arty. It is a solid piece and nice and usable still, with a decidedly'country' feel to it. The piece is actually quite light once the drawers are pulled out for transport and is not too heavy to lift at all. I love the carved details and personality of the thing! I do not want to ship it if I can help it- would prefer local sale. We live in Mars Hill. North Carolina, just 20 minutes from Asheville and easy directions to find us. I can help move it as well. Guess what. Got it home and she stuck her nose up at it. You know it does not pay to try and but things they ask for you almost always get the same results. The Dresser measures 39 inches wide. 19 inches Deep and stands 31 inches tall to the top of the side drawers. The dresser has hand carved Rosewood handles. there is a rosewood veneer on the front of the drawers. the Dresser does need a good cleaning. In the pictures there is no marble. With six spacious drawers, all constructed with hand cut dovetails, this dresser boasts an impressive amount of storage space. The drawer configuration is a two over three graduated drawer configuration with a secret drawer just above the two small drawers at the top of the chest. The drawers are adorned with Victorian style glass knobs ... morethat contrast very nicely with the mahogany of the drawer fronts. There are two beautiful barley twist columns going up the sides of the chest giving that true Scottish look to the piece. There are locks with beautiful brass escutcheons, but no key. Finding a bow front Scottish chest with such beautiful barley twist columns is very unusual! This Scottish chest has an abundance of storage space and is an impressive size. It is also in very good condition. There are very few issues which is great from an antique chest of drawers of this age. As shown in one of the pictures. The right barley twist column has a small missing section on the back of it at the top. On the left and right sides of the plinth base are some minor age separations. They are small and still strong. This is an authentic Eastlake dresser with it's original hardware and mirror- the mirror isn't in the picture. It has it's original hardware. The top is pink granite and not attached. I believe it was a replacement top. Made in USA in the 1890s or so. Seems to be made of maple and stained a walnut finish. I've owned it 25 years. Up for sale is this great Antique marble top dresser it stands over 7 feet tall with the mirror connected to it. It is about 43 inches wide and about 20 inches deep. Beautiful antique chest of drawers in mahogany with a gentle sweep of a bow front. All original. Including its finish, as I hope you see in my close-ups. It features four nice deep drawers, perfect for storage, and has the dust panels between each level. The top pair drawers' inside measurements are 15 1/2" across by 5 1/2" tall, and are 15" to 17" deep, given the curvature of the front. The middle drawer's inside measurements are 32 1/4" across by 7" tall and 14 1/4" to 16 1/4" deep. The bottom drawer's inside measurements are the same as the middle except it is a little deeper at 7 1/2" tall. Overall. The measurements of the chest are 35 1/4" tall by 34 3/4" across by 16 1/4" to 19 3/4" deep. All four drawers work perfectly and have hand-done dovetail joints. Each ... moredrawer has original brass pulls and locks, though the key is missing. The finish is in great condition overall. I did my best to take accurate pictures of the style and quality. Each of the oak frames measure approx. 9 1/2 inch by about 7 1/2 inch. Both of the mirrors are the original beveled edge with no cracks. There are some marks on the mirrors coming thru the backside. I am not sure of the wood but it is a very deep dark brown. The mirror has been replaced my me as I wanted to use this on my own antique dresser. The frame of the mirror. And stand are in very good estate condition. See images. I bought this from a dealer in the St Petersburg area of Florida. Their expert there told me this was from the late 1880s. I am sure he told me the wood but I have forgotten it now. He did mention the provenance was from the New England area. This measures- approx. 18" high x 15" long x 6-1/4" deep. This is an amazing three drawer dresser. Complete with marble top, grape leaf drawer pulls, and rolling casters for feet. The marble top is a languedoc stone that is found in France. It measures 48" x 22" x 1" The top is currently not mounted. This is how I discovered the piece and instead of re-mounting the marble. I would rather leave that option to the next owner. The body is made out of what I believe to be walnut. It measures 33 1/2" tall x 37 1/4" wide x 16 1/4" deep. The drawers are outlined in molding and have working locks(no key avail) Each drawer is garnished with two wooden grape/grape leaf drawer pulls. There are no obvious maker marks on the dresser. Beautiful Antique Eastlake Victorian Marble-top Drop Center Dresser
This bureau belonged to my grandmother. Unfortunately. I do not have space for it any longer. I believe this is"Victorian Eastlake" It is in very good original condition with original hardware. Sold as is. No one has painted, refinished or otherwise tampered with it. There was never a mirror from the time my grandmother acquired it. Local pick-up only! Dimensions are: 51 inches wide. 19 inches front to back and 33 inches at the tallest point. Very Nice Antique Empire Style Dresser with hand carved columns, flame mahogany
Hi. And thanks for looking! This listing is for a real antique empire style dresser. This is a good sized piece, 47 inches high, 42.5 wide, and 23 deep. There is three drawers on the bottom and two up top, all with hand cut dovetails. I think the bottoms of the drawers as well as other parts are all one piece of wood with no seams. The front has beautiful flame mahogany veneer which is in fairly good shape except on the top drawers, which have slight curve. Along each side of the front are greek colums with hand carved details top and bottom. The top of the dresser is two boards that have been painted to look like wood grain. There is a gap in between them, due to age I suppose. All the drawer pulls are clear glass, I don't think they are original, but they are old, and some don't match exactly. This auction is for a wonderful antique salesman sample ... moreor child's doll three drawer dresser. This one is a beauty with its dovetail construction using real wood. The drawer pulls are pegged and most of the construction is done with the skill of a master carpenter and not a lot of nails. Though it is not nail free. We are not experts in wood, but would call this mahogany, a beautiful medium color. This stands approx. 11 5/8" tall, by 11" wide and 9.5" deep. The finish looks great, though there are some scratches on the left side, and one of the drawers is missing a bit of trim on the right and the back wall reinforced with small brads, but it is solid now. This whole piece is a marvel of old fashioned craftsmanship, made as a salesman's sample or for a little girl to put her doll's clothes. What a great addition to anyone's collection! Good Luck!
