Antique Wood Inlay Music Table Made in Italy Plays "Funiculi Funicula" Vintage
Dimensions 14.5"x10.5" by 16.5" tall. For sale is an antique hand made wooden italian table that plays a song just like a music box when the top is opened. The top surface itself is in good shape. The music plays and cranks fine. The table itself is solid but its design does cause it to be fragile and doesn't feel like it should really have too much weight on it. The top does shut but only if you press down firm because the latch doesn't line up exact. I do not have the key so it will not lock. The base of the top had a hairline crack that went all the way around the table as pictured but it has since been repaired and is barely noticeable. The interior pieces all appear to be there although there is slight warping. THIS IS A RARE ANTIQUE DEMI LUNE ANTIQUE WALL MOUNT TABLE! This is quite a find! Purchased from an estate auction! I was told it came out of an old St. Louis Hotel! Has nice flower carvings on the front center and and sides! It was used to hold a large mirror! There are upholstering tack holes on the underneath side which are unnoticeable unless you turn it over! At one time it had a material skirt that hung down! From the bottom of its feet to the top of the scrolled leg it stands 22 1/2" inches tall! From the floor to the table top it stands 10 1/2" tall! It measures 41" wide! It has 4 nice bolts on the back side to attach to the wall! This is a great piece for that special home! You could use it for display. To hold a large mirror, or tapestry! Antique Italian Butler Table
This table belonged to my grandmother and it was given to her by her mother as a wedding gift late 1800's to early 1900's. Not really sure of the date. An appraiser estimated 1895-1920. The table is very ornate and hand carved with cherub angels serving as the legs of the table. The base is also very ornate. Classified as a Butler Table, the top lifts off and was utilized as a serving tray. I do have the glass but it is separate from the table since the wooden piece that held the glass is broke. The glass is scratched so you may want to replace it. The top has small inlaid pieces of wood that make up a flower design in the center. The top does have some marks that look like a flower pot was set on the table that left a stain along with some minor scratches. All in all, the table is in remarkable shape for it's age. Vintage Bongo Style Drum - Table With Asian Markings 24" X 18" - Year Unknown
OK. I am going to try and describe this piece the best I can. I have looked and looked and looked for one similar online, but the only things I have seen are either newer or African. This one has what looks to be hand-carved Japanese markings and symbols, but I am unsure of what they represent. This piece is 24" tall and a little larger than 18" wide. The top of the drum is made of either leather or some type of skin(sheep? As you can see by the picture the top has marks on it. But it is tight and plays perfectly. However, as a"music" friend of mine pointed out, this was indeed crafted to be a table as the skin is riveted in rather than tied(as to be replaced) Around the drum are numerous oritental figures in different poses. As you can also see by the pictures. There are many markings on the drum/table. However, I am ... morenot going to try and"clean" or"restore" this piece. I figure whoever is buying it will appreciate receiving it as I did, and if they want to clean it up, feel free. Centered to the piece are two doors that open up. Each door is around 11" tall. Inside is open like an empty barrel and is ready to store whatever you like. The bottom of the piece has three legs which hold the table steady. This piece is pretty sturdy. There are also two"bands" that go around the piece. Which look to be copper. There are rivets here as well, with I believe one missing. Pretty unique piece. Please. If you have any information of this, please let me know. Very Old Antique Candle Plant Primitive Table Walnut or Mahogany Wood Stand NR
This auction is for a very old candle/plant stand. It is from the 1800's. It has been in my family for many generations. I am not sure if it is walnut or mahogany. I was told it was walnut but just not sure how to tell. The photos show the condition of the stand. You can see on the top and the bottom of the top piece. It does come off and you can glue it permantly if you like. When I ship it I will wrap the round piece off of the stand and that will protect it better. I just left it as is. The top piece has some seperation in the wood and you can see on the bottom where it has been held together with old clips. It has a little area where the wood is chipped on the bottom rim. Please look at photo. I think the imperfections give it character due to the life it has had. I saw one very much like it in an antique shop in Winter Park Fl for ... more$275. It was always in the corner by the sitting room chairs at my great grandparents home. It was used to hold the calling cards of the visitors to the home. Vintage RARE Unique Triangle Shaped Drop Leaf Accent Table Occasional Wood
This is a very unique. Very old solid wood accent table. Triangle shaped with drop leaves, it looks like someone started to refinish it. Sanded smooth, it stands 23" tall. The top is 16"x16"x16" with the leaves down. When the leaves are up, it is 22"x21" in size. The 3 bent legs are approximately 10" tall with the center post being 11" One of the leaf supports has been replaced, as you can see in the pictures. The hardware appears to be original. The table comes in 3 pieces, twisting together with no hardware. There are no markings or tags that I have found. It looks like walnut, but I am not positive.
