The Patio del Moro is a paragon of Spanish revival architecture in Los Angeles. The Zwebell's worked together as a team with Arthur designing the buildings and Nina designing the interiors and furnishings. The Patio del Moro is featured in many publications on 1920s Spanish architecture in Los Angeles. Many Hollywood luminaries have lived there over the years. Charlie Chaplin stayed there while he was making The Great Dictator as did his mistress Paulette Goddard. Humphrey Bogart Joan Fontaine and Suzanne Pleshette have all lived there. This bench is original to the building and were designed by Nina Zwebell. The Zwebells had a furniture manufacturing warehouse where Nina designed and made most of the furnishings for all their projects.
