These chairs are American Empire style with a pressed wheat design in the crest rail. The stiles are tall and ring turned with acorn style finials on top. The chairs have ball turned spindle splats. The cane seats have been replaced with fresh. Sturdy woven cane to look just like the original did years ago. Each chair has a double box style stretcher, which shows great craftsmanship. These chairs are solid and sturdy with years of use in them. This is a beautiful set. I do not know the maker or exact date they were made. This set is antique and may not be perfect. Each chair measures 42¼ inches tall, 19 3/8 inches side to side and 21¾ inches front to back. Each chair weighs 10 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested.
