Raised panels of burl walnut, carved rosettes, incised carvings, the original mirrors and the original recessed beveled edge marble top, with shaped walnut display shelves flanking the center mirror. Truly a grand statement piece you would be proud to showcase in your home. This fabulous étagère measures 105 1/2 inches( 8' 9 1/2" in total height. Height to the marble at the base is 29 3/4 inches, with a total width of 54 inches and total depth at the base of 19 inches and this étagère weighs approximately 250 lbs total but does dis-assemble into 3 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The original mirror at the center measures 46 3/4 inches in height by 22 1/2 inches wide. This Victorian étagère is in fantastic antique condition. The original mirrors do show some mild spidering silver loss as common with old mirrors. And the original white beveled edge recessed marble top has no chips or cracks but does have some mild discoloration as age appropriate. There is also a small age shrinkage area to the wood by the bottom mirror on the right side see picture of close-up, and a piece of burl veneer missing on the left side towards the back; see close up picture. Dating from the 1880s in ... morewhat appears to be the original finish, this set consists of two master arm chairs and five side chairs. I am sure the upholstery has been re-done at some point; the upholstery is usable, but could use a good cleaning, or you may consider having them reupholstered to better match your décor as well. Three of the circular round crest spindles were damaged when the chairs came in and we replaced them. The chairs have incised carving on the back of the crest, burl walnut panels, unusual cross stretcher underneath the chair back, double multi-turn spindle stretchers and they are an attractive set.
