So my appologies. Here we go again. This listing is for a really quite spectacular circa 1850 very elaborate apprentice cabinet circa 1850 or so. The cabinet measures 19 inches high by 16 inches across and 8 inches deep. 48 by 40 by 20 cm) The cabinet has 4 wallpaper lined drawers. Each drawer has a brass escutcheon and two round wood pulls each with a brass star. The cabinet is mahogany with the top. Front and both sides covered in marquetry work. The marquetry work is at least 6 different woods including olive and fruit woods. The drawers are flanked by columns with fancy capitals and bases. The whole sits on 4 bun feet. As you can see by the photographs the cabinet is a really beautiful example of"proof" that an apprentice had achieved mastery of his cabinet making skills. The condition is also exceptional for it's age and virtually untouched as far as restorations or repairs. The drawers maintain their original wall paper interiors. There are two relatively pieces of marquetry work missing on the top but otherwise the cabinet is in really fine shape. Shipping anywhere in the US via UPS Ground with full insurance is $30.00. Circa 1820 Mahogany Ring pulls Minor cosmetic wear throughout Sturdy and strong, Handmade in Georgian-period England around 1820. This wonderful chest exhibits all the fine quality and beauty characteristic of Georgian furniture. The mahogany, for instance, remains as rich and striking as ever, while the excellent choice in solid brass pulls compliment beautifully with the wood. They are of a classic round design with ring handles. Each drawer has a lock but no key is present. The two over two drawer size is perfect to use as a nightstand, bedroom chest, foyer piece, or at the end of a hall. The drawers work easily and each is constructed with hand cut dovetails. You can also see on the top where the sides and top are joined with hand cut dovetails, a sign of authenticity and quality. We have rated the condition as fair due the the large number of minor dings. Dents, and marks found throughout the chest. You will see them present in all of the pictures. While in our opinion they add character and charm to the chest, we understand this will not be the case for everyone. $950.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Monrovia, United States Offered here is this Beautiful Antique Solid Wood Chest of Drawers with Enclosed Bookcase Top Cabinet. The piece is in amazing condition, with very little ... moresign of wear at all. There are a few light surface scratches to the finish from general use, but it has been very well cared for, and is in amazing condition. I am unsure of its exact age or manufacture. It features brass drop and pull handles on the bottom drawers, and ring pull handles on the two smaller drawers. The top glass doors are lockable and the key is present with the cabinet. The piece is crowned with a Scroll Pediment and center finial, and has Astragal molding around the top. The wood grain on the piece is just amazing, with gorgeous graining. There are nine (9) adjustable shelves within the top cabinet as well.
