The True Cross was discovered in 325 AD when Emperor Constantine the Great ordered the removal of a pagan temple built by Hadrian over the site of the Calvary and the Holy Sepulchre. In 1998, a careful investigation was commissioned by the Holy See and seven Israeli experts on the dating of inscriptions(comparative palaeography) dated its letters into the 1st century, the time of Christ. This suddenly gave the'legend of the Finding of the Cross' a lot of credibility. Already in 349 AD. St. Cyril, bishop of Jerusalem, stated that the True Cross"has been distributed, fra

Relic of Saint Erasmi with certificate seals are intact thank you. Here is a little history of Saint Erasmi. Erasmi was also known as Elmo. He was the bishop of Formiae. Campagna, Italy, and suffered martyrdom during Diocletian's persecution of the Christians. He once fled to Mount Lebanon during the persecution and lived a life of solitude there for some time, being fed by a raven. After the emperor discovered his whereabouts, he was tortured and thrown in prison. Legend claims that an angel released him and he departed for Illyricum, eventually suffered a martyr's death and was one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers. Legend records that when a blue light appears at mastheads before and after ... morea storm, the seamen took it as a sign of Erasmus's protection. This was known as"St. Elmo's fire" The blue electrical discharges under certain atmospheric conditions have also been seen on the masks or riggings of ships. Erasmus is also invoked against stomach cramps and colic. This came about because at one time he had hot iron hooks stuck into his intestines by persecutors under Emperor Diocletian. These wounds he miraculously endured. His Feast day is June 2nd.

A real piece of history, a piece of fabric touched to the relic in Rome. Leather booklet with Pope X seal in the front. It has been owned by a nun who kept it with special care in her collection since it was issued. Pope Saint Pius X(Ecclesiastical Latin: Pius PP. X) 2 June 1835– 20 August 1914) Born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto, was the 257th Pope of the Catholic Church, serving from 1903 to 1914. He was the first pope since Pope Pius V to be canonized. Pius X rejected modernist interpretations of Catholic doctrine, promoting traditional devotional practices and orthodox theology. His most important reform was to publish the first Code of Canon ... moreLaw, which collected the laws of the Church into one volume for the first time. He was a pastoral pope, encouraging personal piety and a lifestyle reflecting Christian values. He was born in the town of Riese, which would later append"Pio X" Pius X's name in Italian) to the town's name. Pius was particularly devoted to Mary; his encyclical Ad Diem Illum expresses his desire through Mary to renew all things in Christ. Which he had defined as his motto in his first encyclical. Pius believed that there is no surer or more direct road than by the Virgin Mary to achieve this goal.1] Pius X was the only Pope in the 20th century with extensive pastoral experience at the parish level, citation needed] and pastoral concerns permeated his papacy; he favoured the use of the vernacular in catechesis. Frequent communion was a lasting innovation of his papacy. Pius X, like Pope Pius IX, was considered by some[who? to be too outspoken or brusque. His direct style and condemnations did not gain him much support in the aristocratic societies of pre–World War I Europe. ONE ONLY! DON'T MISS OUT THIS OPPORTUNITY! Check out my! Named in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, was born to Giuseppa and Grazio Forgione, peasant farmers, in the small Italian village of Pietrelcina on May 25, 1887. From his childhood, ... moreit was evident that he was a special child of God. Francesco was very devout even as a child, and at an early age felt drawn to the priesthood. He became a Capuchin novice at the age of sixteen and received the habit in 1902. Francesco was ordained to the priesthood in 1910 after seven years of study and became known as Padre Pio. On September 20. 1918, Padre Pio was kneeling in front of a large crucifix when he received the visible marks of the crucifixion, making him the first stigmatized priest in the history of Church. The doctor who examined Padre Pio could not find any natural cause for the wounds. Upon his death in 1968, the wounds were no longer visible. In fact, there was no scaring and the skin was completely renewed. He had predicted 50 years prior that upon his death the wounds would heal. The wounds of the stigmata were not the only mystical phenomenon experienced by Padre Pio. The blood from the stigmata had an odor described by many as similar to that of perfume or flowers. And the gift of bilocation was attributed to him. Padre Pio had the ability to read the hearts of the penitents who flocked to him for confession which he heard for ten or twelve hours

The Catholic Church states may be given to individuals and may be sold; unlike the 1st Class Relic which the Catholic Church does not allow the sale of. In the case of the 4th Class Relic, they are are virtually the same as Third Class Relics. The Third Class Relics on the Medals: These are typically what you purchase on a Pilgrimage to a Shrine of a Saint. When you look at the back of a medal and see a small piece of cloth set in red that small piece of cloth is the relic. St Peter Claver,Confessor Brass Relic Locket +Certificate + Holy Card of Saint
St Peter Claver Cloth Relic of Saint Your Relic will be Blessed to 40 Relics on the Altar Saint Peter Claver. Confessor P eter Claver was a Spanish Jesuit. In Majorca he fell in with the holy lay-brother Alphonsus Rodriguez. Who, having already learned by revelation the saintly career of Peter, became his spiritual guide, foretold to him the labours he would undergo in the Indies, and the throne he would gain in heaven. Ordained priest in New Granada, Peter was sent to Cartagena, the great slave-mart of the West Indies; and there he consecrated himself by vow to the salvation of those ignorant and miserable creatures. For more than forty years he laboured in this work. He called himself'the slave of the slaves. He was their apostle, father, physician, and friend. He fed them, nursed them with the utmost tenderness in their loathsome diseases, ... moreoften applying his own lips to their hideous sores. His cloak, which was the constant covering of the naked, though soiled with their filthy ulcers, sent forth a miraculous perfume. His rest after his great labours was in nights of penance and prayer. However spent he might be, when news arrived of a fresh slave-ship, Blessed Peter immediately revived, his eyes brightened, and he was at once on board amongst his dear slaves, bringing them comfort for body and soul. A false charge of reiterating baptism for a while stopped his work. He submitted without a murmur till the calumny was refuted, and then God so blessed his toil that 40,000 negroes were baptized before he went to his reward in 1654. Charity to our Neighbor. W hen you see any one standing in need of your assistance. Either for body or soul, do not ask yourself why someone else did not help him, but think to yourself that you have found a treasure. Do thou seek nothing in this world save that which Jesus Christ Himself has sought-to sanctify souls, to work, to suffer, nay, to die for their salvation.Blessed Peter Claver. W hen Easter came. Blessed Peter left the town to search the mountains for the negroes w

Saint John Nepomuk Tongue Nepomuk-zunge Czech Relic Amulet Silver Johanneszunge
Before the development of modern medicine. Fevers, cramps and toothache could be painful and dangerous. Childbirth could kill mother or child. Many people believed that the supernatural powers embodied in an amulet could promote fertility and good health and offer protection against malign forces or the'evil eye' The amulets were often made of organic materials thought to have protective powers. Such as jet or horn, or were set with propitious symbols. Although the Catholic Church was opposed to the pagan nature of many amulets, it was powerless to prevent their use. This amulet represents the tongue of St. John Nepomuk. Who was a Bohemian priest of the 14th century, revered for his refusal to break the seal of the confessional. It was worn to protect against lies, a bad reputation, or malicious rumours. The saint was popular throughout ... morethe Alpine region, and beyond. 1.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp73%28b0g%60%60%3E1-14b34fc2fb4-0x111-

Rare Relic Saint Kateri Tekakwitha First Native American Canonized
Antique locket with relic of Kateri Tekakwitha was born 1656 in New York. The daughter of a Mohawk warrior. She was canonized on 10/21/2012 by Pope Benedict XVI. Tons of interesting information about her life and the road to be canonized on Wikipedia and many other sites. There look to be four company name initials on the inside of the locket that looks to be_RSB and then a star. The relic is blue cloth. Kateri's last name is under her first name but somewhat concealed by the inner rim of the locket. I have not removed the plastic covering the image and relic of Kateri and will leave that for the buyer. Please let me know if you have any questions. I imagine this is quite a rare and collectible piece of Catholics and religious folks alike.

Spina Christa RELIC Rosary Reliquary Crucifix Saint Dominic Agnus Dei Catacombs
This antique rosary is made up of"spina cristi" the seeds from a thorny plant said to be what Christ's crown of thorns was made of. Comes from the Zizyphus Spina-Christi plant. Native to the Middle East. The reliquary crucifix opens with a screw which is in working order. Inside are 3 relics: St Dominic, Lamb of God(Agnus Dei) and the Earth from the Catacombs. The main strip reads"Lignum arboris S. P. Dominici" which translates from Latin to"The wood from the tree of Holy Father Dominic" Portions of the word Agnus can be seen and I believe would probably read"Agnus Dei" and refer to piece of wax in the center, which is the Lamb of God. Also there is a small bit of dirt on the right side which is dirt from the Roman catacombs. The crucifix is 1" x 3/4" tall with the bail and the screw intact. ... moreThis is a beautiful reliquary rosary and it is in good condition. Perfect for a collection and very scarce. Rare Catholic Saint's Relic, ST. DANIEL BROTTIER Devotee of St. Therese o
Elevated in 1984 St. Daniel Brottier was one of the most startling cases of physical incorruption in modern times- also an astonishing number of miracles have been attributed to him since. St. Brossier was a French chaplain during WWI and six times miraculously avoided death in a hail of gunfire etc. He staunchly attributed these miracles to St. Therese of Liseux of whom he was a great devotee. Those who love Little Therese will especially treasure this thread of garment held and used by the saint. At the time this was made(to raise money for Spiritan charities) St. Brottier had not even been distinguished as a Blessed. A brave. Cheerful and manly symbol of French Catholicism, he tried fulfilling his dream of living in a monastery but he didn't last more than a few weeks- he was a man of action! LOW.
