10 Gallon Antique Crock
This Crock seems to be in very good shape. I could not see any cracks or chips. It does have a couple spots of what seems to be latex paint on it. I scratched at one of them with my fingernail and the paint started coming off. So it should clean up nicely. The pictures are of all sides, I rotated the crock as I took them, so you can refer to them for the condition of the crock. It has a picture of a shield with a 5 leaf clover or flower on it with the number 10. It will be packed well and marked fragile glass before shipping. Antique Stoneware Jug A.K. Ballard Burlington. VT Search This is a wondeful RARE A. K. Ballard Burlington. VT 2 Gallon Jug. It is 15 1/2" tall and 29" in circumference, and 8" wide. The top of the jug is 8 1/2" in circumference and 2 3/4"wide. The handle is in pretty good condition although it does have a 1" chip out of it. It is marked: A.K. Ballard. Burlington, VT, 2" Here is a list of the issues: It has 5 chips on the spout. One is 1 3/4" long and the second one is 1"long. The others are 1/4" long or less. There is also a chip on the handle that measures 1/2" wide. It has a beautiful cobalt design and overall it is in pretty good condition for it's age. There are several places where the glazing has flaked off around the middle/bottom, exposing the pottery underneath. I would say ... morethe condition is good but it does have spotting, staining and chipping. There is a surface crack in the glaze that is 6" long and there are about 4 rust stains. Please view all photos as they serve as part of the description. There are two chips on the bottom that are both 1" long. It has some sort of flour/powder on the inside that I have not cleaned out. I will let the new owner do that. It is heavy and even though it has issues, it displays beautifully. This is a small but great old crock. It has no identifying marks. It has lovely character marks and signs of age. The is one very fine crack less than two inches long extending from the rim down and is visible in the enlarged picture of the inside. Old Antique Primitive Canning Crock Jar Stoneware Salt Glaze Crazing
HELLO and thanks for looking at our auction! Today we have an old antique crock that we think may have been a canning crock many years ago. It looks like a date on the bottom but we can't quite make it out but we have taken pictures of it. It has lots of flaws and chips around the top and lots of staining and crazing. There is also a hairline crack in the top and we have tried to show it in the pictures. This old crock measures 6 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" across the bottom and 4 1/4" across the top. The rim is 1/2" thick around the top and it is very heavy. It weighs 3 1/2 pounds. It is missing the bale but the holes for the bale are still intact. It is also missing the lid. This old Crock is still very pretty even with all the chips. Stains and flaws. It has lots of crazing all over the outside and inside, and would look ... moregood with the old primitives collection. Early 19th C Antique Redware Chamberpot Handle Glazed Interior Unglazed Exterior
Up for sale is an antique redware handled chamberpot recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. It is typical of the semi ovoid form of the first quarter of the 19th Century in eastern PA. This pot features remnants of a side handle and is farm fresh. I have not cleaned these pots and they are offered as found, farm fresh! This piece has several hairline cracks on the sides as well as the broken handle. This is best seen in photos. It should only be considered for decorative purposes. It measure approximately 7" tall with an opening diameter of approximately 6" an overall diameter of approximately 6 1/2" It has a base diameter of approximately 5 1/4" in size. Antique "The Weir" Canning Crock Great Shape
The Weir crock is a great example of American fortitude. Used for canning. Sturdy and hand made. Look at the pictures. You can see where the potter took his wire to cut the piece off the wheel, so interesting. Says 1881, I believe on the lid, kinda hard to make out. This is missing the iron small bale that closes this tight for canning, however, the lid does not fall off because it ingeniously has a good sized lip on the lid to prevent just that. Great for a collection.

Hello& Welcome, Here's a fantastic old stoneware crock that's still in great condition. It holds one gallon filled to its brim and measures approximately 9 3/4" high. 6 1/4" wide at the bottom& 5 1/2" wide at the top. The opening is 4" wide and it has a tapered neck. The glazing on this crock is in beautiful condition, inside and out. The crock has no markings on it but I suspect it was made locally as S.E. Ohio was/is well known for its good clay soils for producing pottery, ceramics& glass. Within one half hour of where I live is where the homes of such companies as Roseville Pottery, Hull Pottery, Hall Pottery, Anchor-Hocking Glass, Hocking Glass, Fenton, McCoy Pottery, etc. were located. This old crock, though it is missing its lid(like many) is in very, very good condition with no cracks, nicks, ... moreetc. and would make a great addition to any collection. 6 Gallon Crock Western Stoneware Co Maple Leaf #6 BLEMISHES, INTACT FANTASTIC!!
This auctin is for a Vintage 6 Gallon Western Stoneware Crock. Has the maple leaf and the number 6 on the front in blue. This has blemishes and hair line fractures but is intact. I hope the pictures help you. Someone placed a piece of tape along the bottom, I started to remove it but will let you finish. It has two chipped areas along the bottom, top is not chipped. As mentioned there are spider veins or hair line fractures going through it, but no daylight cracks or breaks. Stands right at 13.5" tall and the top diameter is right at 12.75" wide.
