Vintage Drapery Hardware Painted Cast Iron 40+ Pieces Victorian
Hi. You are bidding on a vintage lot of(Victorian? decorator drapery hardware. The pieces seem to be in very nice condition and would look great in a house. I will try to accurately describe the pieces as best as I can. But my drapery knowledge is limited. You are getting 5 shield shaped pieces with garland on each side. These pieces have a back clip which looks like it attached to a rod. One of these has a tiny bit of damage along one edge. There are two fleur de lis like shaped pieces with large brackets on the back which I assume are the tie backs. There are 11 fleur de lis like shaped pieces which are flat with a spade shaped bottom like it sat in something else or probably went into a flat rod. There are 9 brackets(L shaped) which are painted to match the other hardware. There are 20+ rounded rings which I guess carried the curtains ... morealong the rod. The lot is painted a very nice old red. Gold and some green. The brackets are painted to try and replicate the same style. Each cast iron piece is marked Pat App. The brackets are metal and not cast iron. But they match style nicely. This is a very interesting lot which surely is from the early 1900's. These pieces could be used as designed. Or repurposed for something else. This lot is very heavy. 12 pounds plus and each piece will be individually wrapped, so plan for 13+ pounds shipping weight.

Wow! So I think these are so pretty. Unique and different but I am not 100% sure what they were originally used for. I have asked a few antique dealers and one man told me that many years ago they hung outside of the old buildings in the French Quarters of New Orleans, and valued them between $100.00-$150.00 for the pair. He said they were used as planters for climbing plants that would attach themselves to the walls and climb. Please if anyone knows them to be something other than that please let me know. They would be wonderful used for that purpose hung in your cottage, Victorian, Shabby Chic Style or any style garden. Vintage Victorian Fretwork/Gingerbread Trim
Up for auction is a beautiful piece of vintage Victorian fretwork/gingerbread trim. It measures approx. 46 1/2" in length. Approx. 12" tall and approx. 13 1/2" tall at each end. It is quite old and is wooden, so it is NOT perfect. As common with pieces of this age, there are some pieces missing and some splits. In the very middle, there is one vertical spindle missing, but since it is the one in the middle, it almost looks as though it was made that way. It truly is a beautiful piece and it displays very well. I have tried to emphasize its flaws in the pictures. Please ask questions prior to bidding. Vintage Stick & Ball Spindle Fretwork Panel Victorian Old Architectural Salvage
Re-listing this due to some things I overlooked in writing the description. Corrected below. Auction is for a vintage. Original Victorian period stick and ball or spindle type panel of fretwork- Striking wall hanging piece against a light background and set off a wall it throws some off some great shadows. Open center is an interesting element. It is stained a brown color and is hardwood. It is in great shape considering age. The finish has worn unevenly in spots- has some imperfections that include a'ball' missing in the center that attaches it one of the four sides, one of the spindles nearest the center is not attached at the one end and there may be a few others that are loose and perhaps shifted position over time and the previous'buyer' pointed out that the balls were not uniform in size- and since they were hand turned ... morethat is possible and likely, but I do not see where it detracts. I don't see where anything else is missing, damaged or has had a major repair, but please check the photos before you bid or buy- both sides are depicted. Size is 58 inches long by a little over a foot tall. I'm guessing the shipping calculator is going to show the cost to ship as being higher than it actually will be. I will adjust it if necessary, should be under $20 to anywhere in the US- let me know if you have any questions

This beautiful 10 fin cast iron steam radiator came out of my Historic House. It is approximately 38" H x 26" W x 10" D. The radiator was removed prior to remodeling.
