This is an Antique Carved Wood Oval Frame dated 1878. The seal is in place although it does have splits on the paper as you can see- we did not take it out of the frame. The two black ovals and the gold line seperating them appear to be on the glass- we believe the image is an engraving- the detail is superb especially the faces and the hands. The frame is nicely carved. Don't know the artist- there is a name on the back but it is almost impossible to read- looks like Lubeck or maybe Lichesr. ... moreAny help would be greatly appreciated. They don't come much nicer than this. A Nice Special Addition to Your Collection.
