Councill, this unsigned table in the Georgian manner is mahogany with a banded top and two original 20" wide leaves. Entirely original. The finish has minor scratches and leaves are slightly deeper in color as shown. Strong and durable vintage furniture, the graceful oval shaped and shell motif legs are beautiful. It was professionally polished and shows minimal signs of wear. The table comes with a complete set of high end custom pads. It was a little worse for the wear so we decided to bring it into our professional restoration shop. We stripped. Hand sanded, stained in a dark reddish brown Mahogany color stain and sprayed it in multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer. The satin wood banded edge has a slight reddish hue to it and a black ebony lined and a wonderful mahogany center on the round table top. It comes with two 24 inch skirted leaves. I believe it dates from the 1950s era, but I am not really sure. It is super high quality with solid brass caps on the Duncan Phyfe feet. The table has a four legged center column pedestal, which is unusual as they are usually three legged. The column is fluted and bun carved with multiple rings of carvings and goes into four stout heavy duty legs. The last table I had like this was from the 1850s and bench made which sold for approximately $17,000. This table has the same look for a much cheaper price. The table is high quality and is a veneer top. The unusual mechanism is that the leaves lock into places. They have clip locks on them so that they lock into place and
