YELLOWARE Stoneware NORTH WIND FACE MILK JUG Pitcher Rockingham Bennington Glaze
DESCRIPTION: This is a yellow ware. Stoneware jug or pitcher with a drip Rockingham or Bennington style brown glaze. It measures 9" tall by 9" wide from the spout tip to handle bend. The glaze on this is stunning and was superbly placed wiping it clear of the face so it can be clearly viewed. The dark brown left in the beard highlights the depth and is a beautiful transition from the more yellow face to the richly mottled body of his paneled, eight sided, octagonal medium size pitcher. Smaller pitchers would be a creamer and larger ones would be a water pitcher. These were meant as milk ewers or imagine this in a month or so filled with your favorite iced beverage out on your deck, camping or outdoor barbeque. This is most likely an American piece of ceramics as the norhtwind face was a popular motif on furniture made in the northeastern ... moreUnited States dating this to the latter part of the 19th century, possible even the early 20th century. Photographs are part of the condition report. There are no cracks, breaks or repairs, but there is an old discolored flake/chip along the bottom foot. It weighs 3 lb. 7 oz. so will be a 6 lb. package with box, bubble wrap and peanuts. SHIPPING& INSURANCE: The Buy It Now price includes free DOMESTIC shipping so if you buy it now. This English parian creamer came from an auction in Vermont. Each side is embossed with a hunter and his dog. The creamer is in good condition. No chips or cracks. There is some wear in the gold trim and on the dark blue jacket. There are spots that I believe were made during the manufacturing process. The creamer measures 3 1/4" high and 3 1/2" from the handle to the tip of the spout. Early 1800s George Washington America in Tears Herculaneum Liverpool Jug Pitcher
Antique Early 1800s George Washington"America in Tears" Herculaneum Pottery Liverpool Jug Pitcher Made in England for the American market. This large Liverpool creamware jug pitcher commemorates the memory of George Washington and has two Washington transfers. Circa 1800. The pitcher measures about 9 1/2" high x 9" from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. The principal front black transfer picture is an oval with banners with the words"Washington in Glory" at the top and"America in Tears" at the bottom. Inside the oval is an obelisk form tomb with a profile picture of George Washington with the dates of his birth and death underneath(Feb. 11. 1732-Dec. 14, 1799) In 1752, the British calendar changed from Julian to Gregorian, a difference of 11 days. Although Washington's birthday is ... morenow said to be on Feb. 22, he continued to celebrate it on Feb. 11. There is a woman in mourning clothed in a toga to the right of the obelisk, perhaps the goddess of Liberty, and an American eagle with its head hung low to the left. The other side of the jug shows Washington. Along with Lady Liberty, beside a map of the newly independent American nation. Liberty carries a"liberty cap" on a pole over her shoulder. Above is an angel sounding a trumpet in tribute to Washington and carrying a wreath for his head, to which is attached a banner with his name, and a stylized version of an early American flag with a federal eagle in the center. Under the spout. A bit off-center, is an oval cartouche with the initials F.P. The letters appear to be a monogram that was later added to the pitcher. This impressive example was produced by the Herculaneum Pottery Group. As noted by the black transfer print underneath the cartouche under the spout, of an American Heraldic Eagle Seal of the United States with 16 stars representing the Sixteen States. The ceramic products of the Liverpool and Staffordshire areas of England, designed and manufactured during the periods from 1760 to 1860

Condition is incredible I just got this at an estate sale. It measures 12" at the test point. On Jun-15-14 at 19:18:53 PDT. Seller added the following information: After a little more research and consulting with some colleagues more knowledgeable then I. We have come to the conclusion that this piece is earlier. More like first quarter of the 19th century Regency Period. Also that it is most likely English. 1?RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Feog4d72f%2B%3E%3B1%3F-146a72b4285-0x118-

Vintage Antique Figural Spout Ewer Pitcher Jug Embossed Hand Painted Boat Scene
For your review is a beautiful Ewer/ Pitcher/ Jug that is beautifully decorated. I do not know the age or maker of this item. But it is at least 80 years old, if not much older. The item is black with a white interior. The black base is decorated with gold design and has a hand painted scene on the front and the back- a sea scene with a boat. The ewer is in very good vintage condition with one exception- there was a small part of the picture on one side that fell off during firing- please see photos as there are excellent pictures of the entire piece. This very small manufacturing defect does not detract from the item, as it is difficult to see. This is a very beautiful antique piece of art. The dimensions are as follows: Height: 8.5" NOT INCLUDING HEIGHT OF HANDLE Height with handle: 9 3/4" Width(widest part of base) 7" Bottom ... moreof base:3 x 2.25" The item has no other defects, other than crazing, which is shown in the photos. Please let me know if you have any questions. Bid with confidence as I guarantee that all my items are as described, or in better than described condition. Thank you for viewing. Susan

This beautiful antique ceramic porcelain pouring pitcher is eligibly signed with what looks possibly like(M) or(O) or(T) as the first letter then(okie) then(J)K) We have looked at the inscription which is signed- not printed. This transfer pitcher has a Friar who is quite jovial facing the pour spout as seen in the close-ups. This pitcher is little over 7 inches(18 cm) in height and 9 inches(23 cm) spout to handle. I purchased this antique as you see it now. Turned facing the viewer. There appears to be little damage due to the Friar's placement. The base is white but I darkened it significantly to pull up the writing ... moreon the base. Antique 1868 Cork, Edge & Malkin Parian Ware Salt Glazed Jug Pitcher /Pewter Lid
This is an outstanding pitcher made by Cork. Edge& Malkin in the 19th Century. This style Pitcher is known as Parian ware. Parian ware is a bisque porcelain material which on the exterior is covered in a salt glaze finish for protection. The interiors of these jugs are normally covered in a very glossy finish. This particular jug is very well marked. It has, not only a makers mark, but a title and Patent date of manufacture as well. The base carries the makers mark of a famous English Staffordshire company from Burslem known at that time as Cork, Edge& Malkin. This piece is also dated November 25th 1868. This one even has a pattern or biblical title known as"Ruth" This pitcher has a pewter lid. It could have been used as a milk pitcher, Syrup, beer, or even water. This is both an excellent and rare piece because it does ... moregive us so very much information. I have taken several pictures for for your better understanding. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have. I have started it at a very low price. That is not an indication of what I think it is worth. I want to sell it. I see another slightly larger, however, identical pitcher starting at $600.00 and that is without a pewter lid. Like I said, I want to sell mine. As to the condition; There are no chips. Cracks, crazing or damage of any kind to this pitcher. This pitcher does need more cleaning. I spent a little time cleaning it and made great progress, however, I will leave that to the new owner. I am sure that you can get this to look near new with the right products. It looks to me as if the pewter lid was reworked at the hinge. Whoever did this, did an outstanding job. This is clearly shown in the pictures. This jug measures 7" high. It is approximately 5 1/2" long with the handle and about 4 1/5" wide without. It holds 40 ounces when filled. We pack everything very carefully. We ship immediately after payment is confirmed. I'll be happy to combine shipping whenever possible to save you money. GOOD LUCK! MAY TH

Victorian pitcher. Rare small hot water jug for chamber set. Green Poppies.
Please check the cost of shipping before bidding. The eBay calculator is usually accurate but do not hesitate to email me with questions. I can usually respond within an hour or so. Yes. I combine shipping, meaning I will add purchases to a single box if doing so will not harm any of the items. No extra postage charge if the Canada Post weight category does not change. Overseas Buyers should know that in 2013. Canada Post Small Packet airmail with tracking up to 2kg now costs at least $36. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a small pitcher that likely is the hot water jug from a late 19th-century moulded china chamber suite. It is somewhat similar in style to a pair of vessels in another Y M AGYK listing but the colour of decoration on this fancy squat pitcher is a true green. The handle of this vessel is more ... moreelaborate and suggests a n urban setting. The decoration includes some subtle delicately fans of embossed lines. As well as the underglaze transfer design that depicts sprays of tiny roses. Forget-me-nots and bunches of poppies- all in a true shade of green. Poppies often appear on bed ch a mber accessories because of their association with sleep. Although I detected no stamped or incised marks, I believe this graceful piece is made of English semi-porcelain. With the arrival of indoor plumbing. The original"old-fashioned" toiletry accoutrements of the home might have been preserved in a cupboard and then handed down through the family. However. E ventually objects such as this usually found their way to antiques dealers. Unless they were especially treasured. This pretty pitcher was discovered among a collection of milk and cream jugs when I recognized it. I did not clean the unglazed points on the base of this pitcher so you would be able to see that it is indeed antique* in the true sense of the word. A complete chamber(bedroom) or toilet(meaning grooming) suite(or. Set) could consist of: wash basin. Large cold water pitcher, small hot water pitcher. Soap dish,
