The stand has a beautiful two-toned finish, but I am unsure of the type of wood that it is made from. I am unsure of the age of the washstand. It has beautiful cut-out style sides that also serve as the legs. The table is 30” tall, is 35.5” long, and 15” wide. It has a cut out in the back on the bottom where I would imagine a pitcher and bowl, or commode may have been placed. There is some museum wax remnant on the top of the stand, and it has a thin piece of wood that can be placed over the hole. It is a very nice antique stand that is sure to be a wonderful and treasured addition to your antique furniture collection.

The images mirror each other so this ... moreis a true pair and the lamps feature two different views. On one side is a striped awning, draped pavilion with tiled floor. It's a party with elegantly dressed and coifed Lords and Ladies conversing while servants offer refreshment. On the opposing side is a lovely longtailed songbird in a rose thicket surrounded by butterflies. Both scenes are topped by raised golden lizards with long tails. The handles are green opposing or"kissing kitties" The"walls" dividing the scenes feature 2 pairs of scaled google eyed coy fish and abundant flora decoration. The surface of the lamps has a wonderful slightly raised texture where the paints were applied. The photos do not do proper justice to these fabulous lamps! They are large. Measuring 16 1/2" to the top of the vase and 9" wide. The mounts are antique brass and the bases are footed chinese wood stands in dark brown. I have just replaced sockets in both lamps and they function beautifully. The shades shown are not included in this auction but if you want them, I will include them in a separate box for an additional $100.00 plus shipping. In my opinion, these lamps really should have large custom made tall drum shades. This pair was purchased from a wealthy estate in South Beach about 10 years ago and are VERY FINE. I do not know the exact age and I am not going to take them apart to see the markings on the bottom of the vases. Ebay limits the number of photos to 12. From antiques estate! seems to be mahogany, a nice dark wood, with nice patina brass drawer knobs and swivel hardware for the mirror. so much detail work in the carving of the reeded cheval brace topped with the beautiful pineapple finials. Click on photos for close up view! There is a slight overall haze in the mirror's silvering, commensurates with the true turn of century glass mirrors. This is about 18 inches tall x 19 inches wide x 12 inches deep. A couple very minor knicks and a burnt burl spot on the flat surface-see photos. Beautiful wood. this appears to have been gently used. The top section has two narrow drawers over two doors that open to two cubbyholes each with slots and two narrow drawers. Below is the chest, the top with a pull forward mahogany writing frame and original green felt. Below are four graduated drawers. It retains all the original brass knobs, locks, and brass escutcheons. The case is on four turned mahogany legs, solid mahogany case boards. Superb Antique Pennsylvania Cherry Early Sheraton Chest Of Drawers Circa 1810's Western to Central Southern PA circa 1810-1820 Once you look at this chest of drawers. You will notice the excellent craftsmanship! this chest is built like a brick loo-house! it is finely finished, and well executed. the ring turned quarter columns and feet. Are typical of south central/western PA(Franklin County area and west to Bedford) and Northern Maryland. This is undoubtedly the nicest Sheraton Chest we have ever handled! The entire case is dovetailed constructed. Of solid cherry, the 2 board sides are solid, same with the top, which is applied, over a white cedar/pine 4 board slat frame which is dovetailed into the case. the bottom board is dovetailed into the base, which is two boards of white cedar/pine. The drawers are cherry with white cedar/pine ... moresecondary woods. And unusually nice tongue and groove board bottom, which are hand chamfered into the base of the drawer case. the drawer bottoms and back are nailed on with square cut nails. the drawers are all cockbeaded around the edges in cherry. And have diamond inlaid escutcheons. the ring turned feet are mortised up into the bottom of the case. And then nailed into the sides. the prolific use of white cedar/and pine as a secondary wood in this chest is quite unusual. Some have suggested that this chest is of New England Origin. However, upon examining the construction details, it is deduced this chest is indeed of Pennsylvania or Nothern Maryland origin. We had a walnut chippendale desk a few years ago. That came out of the Gettysburg, PA area with the nearly identical usage of white cedar/pine and same ring turned quarter columns. we believe the glass knobs are replacements of much earlier brass knobs. they are however. Very nice, and undamaged by the years. the finish is 100% original and untouched. And has mellowed over time to a nice warm red colour. there are absolutely no repairs and or restorations to speak of. the back has a few new round head nails to help hold

This an original era peice. Framed and consrutced from oak, with maple draw sides. The mirror is a beveled edge but the mirror itself is in fair condition, no breaks just some scratches. The wood itself has been stripped at one point in it's life, but does appear to have been done correctly.It is fully functioning, I do have the original hardware, but it does need to bee stripped and cleaned. Tennessee Red" marble has a soft honed finish. Engraved brasses are original on drawers with hand cut dovetail joints. I purchased this piece at Antique Emporium in Modesto. California July 2003. I simply fell in love with it. The receipt I have states it is a"tiger maple dressing table with Cheval Mirror, circa 1895. I have purchased many items from these folks through the years for my personal enjoyment. I am not an expert in antiques. I do know what I like and this is a gorgeous wood very unusual to me, unlike the other pieces I have collected. I sell it now only due to a move. It is carved. Curvy, graceful, beautiful and graced my entry hall as the show piece that I think it is. I decorated it for every holiday and it is a delight for everyone. With six spacious drawers, all constructed with hand cut dovetails, this dresser boasts an impressive amount of storage space. The drawer configuration is a two over three graduated drawer configuration with a secret drawer just above the two small drawers at the top of the chest. The ... moredrawers are adorned with Victorian style glass knobs that contrast very nicely with the mahogany of the drawer fronts. There are two beautiful bobbin twist columns going up the sides of the chest giving that true Scottish look to the piece. There are locks with beautiful brass escutcheons, but no key. Perhaps one of the more distinguishing features of this antique Scottish dresser is the fact that it is bow fronted. Finding a bow front Scottish chest with such beautiful barley twist columns is very unusual! This Scottish chest has an abundance of storage space and is an impressive size. It is also in very good condition. There are very few issues which is great from an antique chest of drawers of this age. As shown in one of the pictures. The right bobbin twist column has a small missing section on the back of it at the top. On the left and right sides of the plinth base are some minor age separations. The top and both sides also have a filled in age separation. This tends to happen on solid wood pieces and is purely cosmetic, not structural. The serpentine mahogany base is on four bun feet, the elevation with finely figured mahogany veneers. The mahogany mirror uprights are carved as acanthus scrolls, the mirror frame with figured veneers. It measures 34" tall by 31" wide by 12-1/2" deep at center. A very nice antique. Circa 1870's, Renaissance Revival over mantel mirror. It is in carved walnut with elaborate crest having a carved lady figurehead and drape with tassels. There are decorative raised panels with rosewood veneers, and incised line designs gilted in. There are two later holes drilled in the upper frame where it would be bolted to the wall. The crest is missing the finial carving on top of the flat top. As presented it measures 6'11" 83" tall By 5'2" 62" wide by 9" deep at lady head. The mirror measures 55-1/2" tall 46-1/2" wide. Very good condition: original unworn finish to walnut and rosewood. Gilt incised lines mostly filled. Minor crack to frame upper right. All rosewood without chipping. Antique Mahogany Dressing Table Vanity, 1890 Era, Local Pick Up Only
This beautifully shaped vanity is very old and in very good condition for age. There are limited minor imperfections from age. I was never sure about the type of wood but now I believe it to be mahogany. It is lighter weight. There are two side drawers on the step-up section and one larger one in the lower center. It has a lower shelf stretcher. No repairs have been made that I am aware of. No oil. It has always been kept in a corner, avoiding sunlight. I never used the drawers, however they work perfectly, original wood knobs. California home with no kids or pets. I believe I am the third owner and I have displayed this carefully for 30 years. The mirror has an adjustable& turn knob on each side. Measurements: Mirror width is 18.5 inches, length is 24. Width of table is 19" length is 40.5" across top.
