Around the top is gold trim. They are approximately 3" high. At the widest point about 2" The corks are not original. They are in wonderful condition.

Antique Hand Crafted Salt& Pepper Shakers made of Rock Truly Unique! I have never seen anything like them. They are actual Rock that was hand crafted into salt and pepper shakers. I obtained them at an old estate sale and when I saw them just had to have them. If they shouldn't sell at auction I'm not hesitant to keep them at all! They are an awesome pair that even if you have a large collection of salt and pepper shakers I would highly doubt you have these in that collection! It appears that whoever crafted them used rock that was split in half and somehow hollowed out then sealed back together by all appearances of these two shakers. The bottoms have the cork stoppers and one is numbered 7 and the other 8. There is also a Signature carved into the rock and darkened though I can't quite make out the name(see photo's) ... moreThese are solidly weighted shakers with the pair not far off from one pound and weighing in at 11.4 oz! Antique 1913 Bavaria Porcelain Salt and Pepper Shakers w/ Gold Dome
For Auction: This item is a wonderful pair of antique Bavaria signed Salt and Pepper Shakers. The shakers measure approx. 3 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The shakers are very beautiful and has a main ivory colored body with a hand-painted gold floral vine design and above that is a light pale blue color. The shakers are then topped with a soft gold dome at the holes area and is bordered by a small row of raised dots. Both shakers have their original cork stoppers. Both shakers are marked"Bavaria" in green on the bottoms. One shaker is also marked by the original owner"B.P. Steenburgh 1913" in black. Both shakers appear to have salt still contained in them in a semi-solidified clump. In excellent condition!

The holes in the top of the salt shaker are quite large.perhaps meant for sugar? not salt? not sure. Very good vintage condition: no chips. No cracks, just crazing throughout in keeping with age. Crazing does not detract from the appeal of these lovely shakers at all. Pls. see all photos for best description. There is a cork"plug" on bottom where fill-hole is. Lafrance Rec or Reg on the bottom along with the# 804, the dog says Germany on the bottom, the duck says nothing, the lone glass shaker says nothing, the glass pair says 04 on the bottom, the brass pair say nothing, the gold one says warranted 22 Karat Gold on the bottom and the colorful pair say made in Italy on the bottom. Lot Antique Vintage Salt Pepper Shakers Asian Glass Metal Ceramic at least 50yrs
Lot of assorted small salt and pepper shakers. There are 3 singles which are Asian theme ceramic or porcelin 2.25"3" tall. 2 of these have small chips out of them last photo. One other single is glass and metal it looks like a ships lantern 2.75" tall. There is one set of blue glass 2" tall, I think these are the oldest they are in very good condition. Last are 2 small metal sets 1.5" tall which need polishing and I can't get the tops off. I inherited these and don't know much else other than they have been boxed up for 40+ years. Antique Vienna Austria Porcelain Salt & Pepper Shakers 1890-1908
Importers- New York City. New York(USA) According to Henderson four New York importers used the double shield and crown mark, they were PH Leonard, Bawo& Dotter, Charles L Dwenger, and Paul A Straub& Co. It was used on the Vienna China line from Count Thun's factory in Klášterec. The documentation is confusing. PH Leonard was the first to use the mark, and then Bawo& Dotter after Leonard went broke in 1898, next was Dwenger, and then Straub sometime after 1915. The only thing one can be sure of is that the mark represents a Count Thun factory line of china from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. This particular line was supposed to be like the porcelain coming from the former Imperial and Royal Porcelain Factory, Vienna. For sale is this beautiful set of hand painted shakers made by Rosenthal. Bavaria. Made sometime between the late 1800s and early 1900s, this set features bold red and pink roses over a mint green background. The tops are coated in gold with scrolls on the sides. These shakers stand 2-1/2" tall and have a diameter of 1-1/2" They are both marked with the Rosenthal Bavaria backstamp. Condition Great condition. One of the shakers has a couple of slight. Shallow flakes underneath the bottom rim. Both shakers show some wear to the gold on top, primarily around the edges of the holes and along the top edge. Even so, they present beautifully. They are dark green with googly like eyes& both are wearing bow ties or ribbons around their necks. Their long tails are curled up around their haunches. Both have 5 pour holes. Incised on one on his back bottom porcelain is"04" Germany" although this is hard to see. Last photo. I have washed both& placed new cork stoppers in them. One of these Art Deco felines has chipped paint around one pour hole& several smaller ones down the front fur. Besides paint wear commensurate with their age. There is no other damage. This listing is for a tiny pair of antique salt& pepper shakers from Bremerhaven. Germany. They're in the shape of beer steins, and nicely decorated and hand painted with the coat of arms of the City of Bremerhaven, which is a heraldic design incorporating a medieval looking ship with 3 sails, with a fish in the water underneath the ship. The 3 sails of the ship are decorated with 1) what looks like a pair of scissors, but I think it's actually two crossed swords, 2) an anchor, 3) a cross and a key. They have the cork stoppers. These are in very good vintage condition, but they do need a cleaning. They measure just 2" high by 1" in diameter.

Antique salt and pepper shakers signed Z.S. Co. Bavaria. Hand painted pink roses and blue flowers. The shakers are in good vintage condition just don't have corks because of age and they are gone. The salt and pepper shakers measure 2 3/4" tall and top is 1 1/2" in diameter. The widest part is approx. 5 3/4" around.
