1850s Antique Staffordshire England Copper Luster Individual 3" Creamer Pitcher
Here is a lovely little antique creamer glazed in copper luster and made in the Staffordshire area of England from the 1840s to the 1860s. Copper luster was popular during the period because it reflected the gas lights that brightened each home in the evening hours. This creamer is an early piece with no manufacturer's mark and is made from ironstone dipped in copper luster. The individual creamer measures 3 1/4 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter from the spout to the handle. The copper glaze is in beautiful condition. With no stains. HOUND HANDLE PITCHER PHILLIP BAGSTER ROCKINGHAM ENGLAND BENNINGTON POTTERY TOBY
Up for auction my oh-so-RARE c1818- 1823 ENGLISH PHILLIPS& BAGSTER? ROCKINGHAM RAISED RELIEF HOUND HANDLE STAG HUNT SCENE diminutive PITCHER. This is a wonderful and very old extremely rare small pitcher with a great look. The pitcher is a rare small size measuring just 3 3/4" to the top of the spout. This early raised relief hunt scene pitcher boasts a hound with collar handle. Several hounds on the pitcher body taking down a large stag and a grape clusters and vine decoration around the pitcher neck. Hound handled pitchers have been popular since the early 1800's. The earliest examples were made in England, and manufactured much later in the United States in Vermont, New Jersey and Ohio when the English potters came overseas to America, bringing their molds with them. The earlier English pieces had a Rockingham glaze over a ... morewhite clay body while the later American pieces were glazed over a yellowish or buff clay body. This particular pitcher is an early English version. As there are a couple tiny pin prick sized areas where the glaze is nicked in the interior(see photos) and the clay is a bright white. I believe this was made by Phillips and Bagster. As I have done a lot of research about this company. They often signed their pieces in the collars of the hound or boar. The hound on the handle does have a collar( most hound handled pitchers do not have collars) and I can see a couple very faint letters on one side of the collar. These are very difficult to see and are glazed over. So not very legible(see photo) I really cannot make out the individual letters, but I see two. The glazed underside is marked with some sort of leaf as well the faint impression of half a stamp.maybe an"M" or a"3" with a diamond shape and round shape(like you might see on old majolica pieces) with a faint"22" Not sure as the stamp is not very legible so I cannot quite decipher it. Elegant Antique White Pitcher~Royal Ironstone~Johnson Bros England
Tall water pitcher standing 12.5" from base to the flower on the handle tip. No major flaws of cracks or chips evident. There's a very small manufacturing flaw under the glaze near the base and one fleck of wood ash on the side. Yes, these beautiful antique pieces were produced with heat from an open wood fire. When held to a strong light, there's evidence of very light minor scratching. Johnson Brothers began manufacturing in 1883 in the Staffordshire district in the Hanley settlement and this would have been one of their earliest patterns as this tall, slim with rounded base style was produced in the 1880s and 1890s. Vintage if not antique Senator England Semi-Porcelain flow blue pitcher in the Cliff pattern features blue floral design at top and remnants of gold-tone accents along rim and handle. Measures 8-1/4" tall at tallest point x approx. 6" wide at body. 7" long at top from handle end to end of spout x 4-1/2" wide. Marked on bottom with a blue crown logo and"Senator Crown Semi-Porcelain" with a ribbon and words that have mostly rubbed out but begin with a"C" which we believe originally indicated the Cliff pattern. And"England" Raised portion on bottom has numbers that are difficult to make out but that we read as"No. 24819" This is a used piece and has several flaws. Approximately 1" long hairline crack on lip of pitcher that is visible on both inside and outside. 4" scuff mark ... moreon one of the ribs on the body beginning at base and going up to middle of piece that we originally thought was a hairline crack. But is smooth to the touch and does not show through on inside. Significant. Heavy visible crazing on entire surface of piece inside and out. Significant discoloration and browning of piece inside and out. Multiple visible scuff marks and scratches throughout the piece. Inside and out. Visible wear to gold tone along rim and handle. This antique pitcher is 9 inches tall and almost 9 inches wide. It is marked Statford H Alcock& Co. Cobridge, England. Patent February 12, 1884, Being an old used antique, it is not perfect, but almost. It has a small chip on the bottom edge and a brown crack that shows on the front and the inside. It holds 11 cups of water and does not leak. There is crazing on the inside bottom and some on the top of the outside that does not stand out. In other words, it is not a visual distraction. Found in an old east central Illinois estate. This 4 1/8” pitcher has a rim diameter of 2 ¼” a base diameter of 2 7/8” This has base/rim wear& wear to the high spots of the design, but no chips, cracks, or hairlines. The inner rim of the base reads, MADE BY ENGLAND” there are 2 illegible names/markings as well. The body of the pitcher is purple with its raised designs being pink luster. This auction is for a Lancaster of Hanley England cream pitcher with copper luster accents. It is a little creamer pitcher which stands about 2 1/2 inches tall inches tall and is in very good condition. I know it looks like there is a red dot on the copper rim, but that is a reflection from the red eye on my camera's auto light sensor. There is no such spot actually on the pitcher.

The pitcher measures approximately 9 ½” tall by 5 ½” in diameter at its widest point and 7 ¼” long from spout to handle. There is a hand written label affixed to the bottom that reads“Jackfield Ware– This pitcher made by Thomas Wieldon. Ca 1760” The label was probably added by an antiques dealer, and I can provide no additional proof of its authenticity. The pitcher is in very good condition for its age with no significant chips, cracks or defects, only some light smudging of the glossy finish in a few spots. Moderna Flow Blue Pitcher and Bowl Set by J&G Meakin, England
Up for your consideration is a beautiful FLOW BLUE pitcher and bowl set made by J& G Meakin. Hanley, England. This set is in the Moderna Pattern which was produced by them from 1903-1911, making this piece over 100 years old. The pitcher measures 11 inches tall by 11 1/2 inches across. The bowl measures 17 1/2 inches across by 5 1/4 inches deep. Condition is excellent for a piece of this age. There are no repairs, chips or cracks. The piece is very clean and was very gently used. There are several small glaze pops that can be seen in the photo's and a small rough spot on the bowl rim which can be seen in photo 3. There is a barely visible surface scratch on the pitcher, but I couldn't get a photo of it. It does not go through and can barely be noticed. Antique W & T Adams England Ironstone Aesthetic Brown And White Water Pitcher
My research shows this water pitcher to have been made by William& Thomas Adams(My Granny's Attic Antiques: UK Porcelain and Pottery Marks) They were in business from 1866-1900. Which put them during the"Aesthetic Movement" of 1860-1900. The pitcher measures 12 1/2" tall to the spout. Pattern is brown transfer. Marked on the bottom"W& T Adams England" with"Adelaide" stamped in a ribbon Handle is firm. But I would only recommend it to be used for display Sent via UPS to include insurance.

Johnson Bros England Royal Ironstone China Pitcher and Wash Basin Bowl -Matching
This is a very large antique Johnson Brothers Ironstone/Semi Porcelain Washbasin and Pitcher. The bowl measures 17 1/4 across and 4 1/2 inches high. The pitcher measures 9 inches across and 11 1/2 inches high. The tag on the bottom(as purchased) says circa 1890-1915. It is in very good antique condition with no cracks or chips on the pitcher and mild crazing consistent with age. The washbasin has no cracks but a tiny flea bite on the underside which is not visible from above. There are some scratches on the bottom of the bowl where the pitcher sits but again consistent with age. Considering this is around 100 years old it is in very good condition. Please use the zoom feature on the pictures as I find this to be an addition to the description. Please ask all questions as this is a final sale auction.
