Our church used to be a 1 room school house. It was added on over the years but when we remodeled we uncovered the original tin ceiling. We are asking $3000 for the lot of tiles and cornice pieces. Offered for your consideration is this large lot of antique ceiling tin. There are 18 matching two foot by four foot pieces. 144 square feet. Enough to install in a 12' by 12' room. All 18 tins are in very good condition for used ceiling tin. The paint is VERY chippy and will come off fairly easily with a rotary wire brush. There are only a couple tile that have some very small holes(1/4" or smaller) PLEASE SEE PICTURES. Some of the corners are a little bent but easily flattened back down. I have included 4 pictures of the same ceiling tile installed. I do have an additional 18 matching tin tile available. Vintage Crown Tin Ceiling piece from 1938 building in S.C. 4ft long 5 3/4"wide
The price is for one piece but I have around 30 pieces of this crown. It is great to insert in custom made furniture. Many. Many uses. Also have the flat pieces and some other decorative pieces there is rust on all of them though as seen in picture. I sanded and steele wooled 75 pieces, primed them and painted them to put up on ceiling. Dinged up a little but adds to character. All these pieces come out of a building I am renovating. This auction is for 23 sheets like the ones pictured. Pictured are 3 vintage ceiling tile tins. Each measures 24"x48" I have 23 of these. The condition of each differs somewhat. The center of each half has an octagon shape which is roughly 11" across. Each corner also has a relief image. Paint is chipped and peeling. There are a few nail holes in some sheets as well as nail holes on edges. This was removed from a house built in approximately1905.
