The salt lid looks like someone couldn't open it, and used some sort of tool to grip the lid, causing little dents on opposite sides of the lid, just above the threads. The salt shaker also has a couple of very tiny flakes at the edge of the base, and the pepper shaker has a little bump just above the bottom, which occurred in the molding of the glass. These shakers were molded, then cut, and there are several very tiny imperfections in the making, which can be seen with close examination using a magnifying glass. Made by Eagle Glass& Manufacturing Co, 1899-1904. They are opaque white glass, did have some hand painting which is now worn off. The pattern consists of three large scrolls each scroll is separated by a series of individual roses that diminish in size. Pattern was named by Millard. The caps appear to be original to the shakers, one is good used condition, the other has a small piece missing around the bottom rim, but still screws off and on easily. No chips, cracks or repairs. As is always found on antique shakers the top rims, under the caps are rough and not polished. A great hard to find pair of antique shakers. Lot of assorted small salt and pepper shakers. There are 3 singles which are Asian theme ceramic or porcelin 2.25"3" tall. 2 of these have small chips out of them last photo. One other single is glass and metal it looks like a ships lantern 2.75" tall. There is one set of blue glass 2" tall, I think these are the oldest they are in very good condition. Last are 2 small metal sets 1.5" tall which need polishing and I can't get the tops off. I inherited these and don't know much else other than they have been boxed up for 40+ years. Description Up for purchase are: 3 sets of vintage salt and pepper shakers from an estate sale. The green Asian set has no chips. It has the original cork stoppers but one keeps slipping inside the shaker and other stays in place, both are in excellent vintage condition. The set that appears to be a German Shield(this is what I was told when I made the purchase) have their original cork stoppers in place. No chips, excellent vintage condition. The lantern set has paint wear on the lantern holders and the stand. Screw tops work great. Secure. When I bought these sets. I was told these are vintage but I do not know the age.
